Sakiko and Mari looked up and saw their cla.s.smates standing at the pool side. They were all dressed in their sports wear.

One after the other, they spoke their minds, not bothering to hide the disdainful look on their faces.

"Look at her, ain't she ashamed."

"I heard she still had the guts to lie when the teacher called them."

"Really, how can she be so pretentious?"

"She drugged Sasuke at her birthday party."

"What? Really?!"

"Yes, that was why she was earlier punished by the disciplinary committee."

Mari could hear their whispers, well it wasn't a whisper if she could hear them, but it hurt her still, she had her head down, not having the guts to look them in the eye.

Her good days in high school was over before it begun. Everyone was going to see her that way, especially since they found out she had drugged Sasuke.

Surprisingly a warm wet hand snaked with hers, she turned her head to the person by her side and saw the ever charming smile of Sakiko.

That smile that always warmed even the most cold days, seemed to have pierced deep and broken the ice and eased the pain Mari felt.

"What is happening?

"How could she...?"

"Sakiko, what are you doing?" Sai asked her.

"Are you done bad mouthing her guys? We are friends now, we've forgiven each other and made up."

"What?!!

"Why?"

"Hehhe, so typical of you Sakiko!" Ayumi said.

"She apologized to me and I have forgiven her. So please can we all go back to how we were before Sasuke arrived? No more."

"Alright, if Is.h.i.+da can forgive her, who are we not to?"

"I'm with whatever you think is good."

"How nice and sincere of you."

"Mari, better cherish this friends.h.i.+p, because if I we're the one, I would not have forgiven you," Sachi spoke up.

"If I had not forgiven you, I wouldn't have remained friends with you."

"Thanks Sakiko, I am sorry everyone. Sasuke, I am sorry as well to you."

"Sasuke!" Sakiko tensed up when she heard Mari mentioning his name. Slowly she turned her head to the side, where Mark's gaze was and saw him standing there, far from the other students.

She gulped before speaking. "Hey!" She gave him a scary smile and he couldn't help but shake his head.

She was still shy with him around, he made a mistake kissing her and wondered if he could really wipe it off of everybody's memory.

She looked nervous seeing him standing there. She had the urge to run up to him and hug him, but she stopped herself. What we're these feelings she had? She hadn't come to terms with it yet and thus her nervousness whenever he was around her.

"Hey Sasuke's around."

"Look at how cute he is just standing there."

"Now that Mari has apologized, I wonder what will happen next!"

"I bet he would go with Sakiko's decision, he likes her too much to not agree with her."

Their cla.s.smates murmured their hearts out as they watched the scene unfold before their eyes. Sakiko trembled when she heard the last statement one of them made.

He smiled back at her, got himself ready and went went into the swimming pool.

"Sasuke!"

"What are you doing?"

"Don't come any further."

Ayumi, Mari and Sakiko all yelled at the same time.

He stopped dead in his tracks as he watched the different expressions of the three of them.

"Relax, if I am suspended, then let it be. We help each other right? Besides, it wasn't your fault and since you both have made up, then let me join."

He walked up to them and held Sakiko's hand.

"Sasuke! You know you shouldn't get into trouble because of me," Sakiko said.

Her eyes held the worries of the world, just because she cared for her brother. He had got to admit, he felt touched by her sincerity and care.

"Who said it's because of you silly," he flicked her forehead and continued, "see this as a ummm... "

He used his free hand to hold his chin in a thoughtful manner as he spoke.

"As an act of friends.h.i.+p!" Reina said, completing his sentence.

"Ahh! Yes, as an act of friends.h.i.+p, Sakiko. Thanks Reina," he thanked her and winked at her, earning a heart struck expression in return.

He shook his head at her and returned his gaze back to Sakiko. "It would be okay."

"If Sasuke is joining, then so am I," Sachi suddenly said.

"Me too," Noriko added, raising her hands.

"Count me in!" Ayumi concurred.

"Well, we may get in trouble but, what ate friends for?" Bas.h.i.+ra said with a grin.

"What would you guys do without me, I would join in if my buddy decides to help out," Sai added.

"Cla.s.s Representative, what are you saying? Who need your help?" Reina said.
