Although, they'd come to an agreement, I knew that they each wanted me to pick their choice fully. But they wouldn't pressure me to do anything. They were quite difficult when it comes to making sure that everything was in my best interest.
For now, however, their dispute had been settled. But at some point, they would try and persuade me to one side, but I was firm in my ideals. I wanted to have fun in my second life. As long as I was having fun, I was living this second life to the fullest.
Now I found myself sitting in the carriage, with my Mother, Brother, and Aunt. At this point, we're heading back home, to the celebration that my Mother was throwing for my Ceremony of Five. My aunt, the unexpected guest, was now tagging along with us.
It was an odd feeling being so close to my aunt in the enclosed s.p.a.ce, she was an enigma. No matter, how I try I couldn't get a solid read on her. She was like an expert poker player with that half smile of hers. If I didn't know better, I'd think that was the only expression that my aunt could muster.
However, I'd seen her make other facial features, even though, it was generally only a slight variation of that half smile. I felt wary around her because of that. It also didn't help that she was related to the G.o.ddess Muheia.
I'd gotten…the pleasure of speaking with that G.o.ddess earlier.
I could ask my aunt about that…
However, I quickly squash that thought, I don't completely trust her yet.
Shaking my head, I continue to scan over my life page.
「Name: Hollis Grey Astley
Race: Pure-Blooded Vampire Level: 5
t.i.tle: Reincarnated Person, Trainee War Empress
Blessing: Blessed Child of Death, Kin of the War G.o.ddess
Cla.s.s: n/a Job: n/a

MP: 780 HP: 450 Pa.s.sives: n/a
Skill(s):
Unique Skill(s): Appraisal (Lvl.1), Devour, High-Stakes Dice, War Might (new)」
It lists a lot of basic information, but there were a few things that were empty. For instance, my cla.s.s and job. I suppose those were things that I could obtain, but how did I get a cla.s.s or a job?
Rubbing my face, I continue to scan over my life page, the numerical values of MP and HP, I had no idea what that meant… if that was a lot or a little. I wasn't sure, since I had no comparison.
I'd have to ask about that.
Glancing towards my unique skills, I felt a headache come on. Appraisal seems like a pretty normal thing to have or obtain. It was the rest of them that made me feel ill to my stomach. This seems to be the only unique skill that my family could see as well.
Devour…? The whole name of that skill gave me a bad feeling.
High-Stakes Dice…
And last but not least. The skill that I believe was given to me by the G.o.ddess of War. War Might, if the name was any indication at all, this was probably something that had to deal with fighting.
I'd look at those later, when I had the time to actually go over those in peace and quiet. Something was telling me that I wouldn't be able to conceal my joy at what the G.o.d of Life had gifted me.
"Mother?"
"Yes, my dear?"
"I have a question about something on my life page," I tell her softly.
She nods her head, and I take a deep breath.
"I've got a few. I have no idea if my HP and MP is normally for a child my age, and I also don't know what it means to have a blessing? But the most important questions, I feel is how do I obtain a Job or a Cla.s.s? Of the two which is more important?" I question softly.
A sly smile works its way onto my mother's lip, she reminds me a lot of a fox. It was a bit unsettling. But she quickly mouths words, and a black screen appears in front of my mother with the same golden lettering as my life page, did this happen to be my Mother's life page?!
I couldn't help the excitement that bubbles up in my stomach.
"Come, my dear," she says with a wave of her hand, and I scot closer towards her on the soft plush seat of the carriage.
Peering at her page, I begin to read it.

Sucking in a deep breath, I'm astonished by my mother's stats. She was basically a walking monster, at over level one hundred. Not to mention that she was sporting over ten thousand HP, she was a monster compared to my measly HP.
She was blessed by the G.o.ddess of Justice Drina, as well. Her t.i.tles are also interesting, I wonder how she'd gotten 'Blessed Warrior of the Seven h.e.l.ls'. My Mother was indeed pretty amazing, to say the least.
「Appraisal leveled up」
「Appraisal leveled up」
Why had that leveled up!
「Unable to Appraise the Target」
「Detecting a hidden target, the information displayed has been altered. Level too low to properly appraise the target! Please increase Appraisal」
Did that mean that everything that I was looking at wasn't the actual truth, that my mother had hidden her real-life page? I felt my eyes twitch, just what sort of monster was she that she was able to do that?!
"HP and MP are both propionate to your level, but they can also change depending on which cla.s.s you take up. A cla.s.s is more important than a Job, a Job can range from a number of things. You can have three Jobs, but you can only have one Cla.s.s. You can pick and choose which Cla.s.s and Job's that you want," she says.
"Then how do I pick my Cla.s.s and Job?" I ask her.
"You can obtain a Cla.s.s from a temple, there are different temples for different Cla.s.s, however, the main breakdown of temples are the support, defense, attack and then specialized cla.s.ses. There is a fourth type of temple, that is the fate temple, you can obtain a cla.s.s that is tailored perfectly for you, however, that is a peerless temple.
Normally, you'll enter a temple and take the test, you've got to complete a test that's put forth by the temple of your choosing. You can attempt a temple as many times as you like, but the more times you take it the harder the difficulty and the less likely you are to obtain a Cla.s.s that has a lot of growth.
There is also a reward given to those that complete the temple of their choosing on the first try, not many are able to do this because the temple will continuously grow to match your skills, you have to surpa.s.s the temple expectations to obtain a truly amazing reward. The temples are left by the G.o.d's and G.o.ddess'."
This was too much like a video game in my past life, it was like a Cla.s.s obtaining Quest basically. It seems that I would have to heed my mother's words, I wanted to get that special reward that was gifted by the temple. That was to enticing to pa.s.s it up.
"Now to answer your questions about the Job's those are obtained through constant use of a skill or an interest, our also able to choose your Jobs, for example, if you take up a hobby for cooking. Then you might obtain the Job 「Chef」, but you might not want to take that Job.
You can choose to accept it or not; that doesn't mean you wouldn't ever be able to cook again, but you'll not be rewarded for your mastery of cooking. When choosing your Job's, one should be picky, because your only able to obtain three Job's, once a Job is chosen you can't remove it," she explains with a no-nonsense voice.
I nod my head letting her know that I understand.
"Then when can I obtain a Cla.s.s?" I ask.
She raises a finger to her lips and taps it lightly. "Well your level fight right now, but you've got quite high stats, I'd say that by the time you reach level fifteen it'd be appropriate for you to try your hand at obtaining a cla.s.s. However, knowing my daughter, she'll be fast to obtain that level so let's set an age limit instead. How about once you turn eight you can go and try," she says with a bright smile.
I pout, I'd have to wait another three years before, I can obtain a Cla.s.s. That was a lot of time to wait, but I knew that my Mother was doing this for my own good. Mulling over the information I decide to ask her one more question.
"You have got the job 「Commander」, it has the word 'rare' next to it. How is one able to obtain a rare Job?"
"Mmm, now that a difficult thing to answer. Most of the population wouldn't even be able to obtain a rare Job. Most Job's that are rare have a special condition that has to be met before someone is able to obtain it.
It was a fluke that I managed to get that job, honestly," my mother says as she raises a hand to cup her chin. She had a far off look on her face as she seemed to be reminiscing about something.
After a moment she seems to snap out of it and looks back towards me.
"Any more questions, my dear?" She asks with a smile.
"No," I say shaking my head.
Leaning back against the plush seat, I realized a few things. First, I had a long way to go, I needed to obtain a Cla.s.s. That was the only way that'd I'd be able to adventure through the Dungeon's, but I'd have to be a good Cla.s.s. I'd have to do my research on the obtainable cla.s.ses.
If possible, I want something that not a lot of people have a specialized cla.s.s would be to cool!
Second, my mother might be a bit of a monster, a final boss sort of character. She not only wasn't showing me all of her real stats, but she was also in the position of a rare job, not to mention some of the unique skills that she had.
A fire was burning in my stomach though, this place really had boundless options ahead of me. I had three years to level up, before I'd be able to then challenge a temple and obtain a Cla.s.s. I would get the best cla.s.s possible for me!
