Even though it was Amila's twenty-seventh birthday, first dance will always be a part of the programme. When the masters of ceremony requested the celebrant and her escort for the night to occupy the stage, a slow and melodious rhythm played. Zick didn't know how that there was this part and on how to dance. He was lucky enough that the two girls closed to him didn't celebrate their début party in a extravagant manner. He thought that he wouldn't be going to dance like this ever.

Amila saw his crumpled forehead; she already got a hint that Zick wasn't aware of the flow of the programme and didn't know that there was a first dance to happen. "Zick, just follow my lead if you don't know how to dance waltz." 

Zick felt useless after hearing her said, 'if you don't know how to dance waltz'. It was just a f.u.c.king simple waltz, but he didn't know how to dance it well. He felt frustrated about it.

After the first half of the song, couples, usually married couples, entered the center stage. They sway their bodies to the rhythm from stereo. Even Mr. and Mrs. Alcantara went to the center stage. 

Single youngsters such as Zoey left at their table. She cupped her chin with her arm on top of the top when a Michael appeared on her side.

"Can I have this dance with you, my love?" He reached his hand to Zoey asking her to hold his hand. He wanted to savor this chance to dance with her. 

It's said that there is no smoke if there is no fire. His heart's desire to claim her back ignites after seeing her to the wedding party of his cousin. 

He thought that he just wanted to claim her back for the sake of this reputation. Everyone knows how affection he was to Zoey when they were kids, she was his first love back then but no one expected that he will cheat on her back with her best friend. 

He doesn't care about the existence of that Nickel as he determined to bring her back to him.

Zoey looked at his hand in front of her, she rolled her eyes to him. She dint even bother to utter any words to his, like she's treating him like an invisible man.

Zick and Amila stopped dance when a few couples joined them in the stage. He whispered to her that after three couples joined them, they have to stop as he was very uncomfortable dancing before everyone's eye.

Indeed, after the third first couple had entered the stage, Zick removed his hand on Amila's hand and waist. He decided to go back to his family table and tried to rest. His legs were both angry with him from standing since that day starts. 

After leaving Amila, he went first to the buffet table and took some food to eat. He walked slowly to their table. Zick was stuffing himself with some finger food he got from the buffet table when he saw a familiar figure in front of his sister.

Although, Zick doesn't know the entire story of his sister and this guy, he already felt disturbed seeing him pestering his sister again. He took some hints from their last encounter that his sister had an unpleasant experience with him, that was maybe the reason she decided to fly away from home by herself.

Zick placed his plate on the table and grab his sister hand. He tramped towards the stage towing his sister behind. He hated himself that he only got this excuse as an escape to his sister from that guy.

"Kuya, why did you brought me here? You don't know how to dance." Zoey is teasing him at that moment.

"You don't have to remind about that! I only have this excuse to drive him away, or you want to stay there with him? Your choice?" 

Zoey slightly hugged her brother after learning about his intention. She didn't expect him to care for her this much. "Of course not! I would love to dance with your two left feet than to waste my precious time with that a.s.shole."
