Zick hang up his phone and ma.s.sage his temples. He is pondering the invitation he got from his mother. He's been thinking that it wasn't his t.i.ta Clara who asked his mom to be Amila's escort but her mom. Shes been trying to play a matchmaker ever since he reached the age of thirty.

Little did Zick know, while he was pondering in his office alone. An accident occurs wherein victims of a burning restaurant sent to their hospital. All the doctors present on that day rushed towards the emergency room.

Zick's a.s.sistant panicky knocking his door and informed him of what had happened.

After receiving the information from his a.s.sistant, he immediately took his white robe and runs towards the emergency room. 

The families that were dining in the said restaurant got either first or second degree burns to their bodies. Children were all luckily saved as their parents and some adults tries to cover the kids' bodies after realizing that there was an explosion in the kitchen. Neither of all those kids harmed nor injured.

In an instance, one happy afternoon turned to a disaster.

Everyone were busy as they were attending the patients at the emergency room. Few minutes later, a howling scream from a wife was heard in the corridor, she was scream as the nurses were pus.h.i.+ng the stretcher of his husband who was the owner of the restaurant. Compared to the customers of the restaurant got from the accident his case was worse than the worst case you'll expect from a fire. His body was bleeding from head to toe, he looked like a grilled pork as his flesh was already visible to the human eye. From his torso to his legs, skin were all burned and blood is dripping from his body. He already lost an arm and probably his leg if the doctors would be late in attending him. 

Zick and Eya heard the wife was howling. Both of them rushed towards the newly arrived patient. As Eya saw the patient's condition, she halts from her post and gasped as she didn't expect to see a patient in this state. Although she loves watching morbid movies such as Saw Series, Human Centipede and other j.a.panese morbid movies, she didn't expect to see one for herself.

Zick saw her reaction and tried to snap her to the reality as he saw her shock face. He pushed Eya behind him and asked the nurses who are pus.h.i.+ng his stretcher. 

"What happen to him?"

The middle-aged nurse responds to him by narrating the information they've got. "He is the owner of the restaurant exploded. Unfortunately, he was right in front of the stove burner when it explodes."

The wife waited outside the hall praying for the success of the surgery. 

However, after what Eya saw earlier, nurses a.s.sisted her to the nearby station and calmed her senses. n.o.body blamed her from her reaction as it was her first time seeing a grilled human before her eyes. Even the nurses who attended him earlier still envision his state in their minds.

The middle-aged nurse who answered Zick's inquiries pa.s.sed a herbal ointment to Eya and the rest of the nurses who saw the patient. She said that will calm their senses after five minutes of applying them.

Eya applied the ointment to her temples and as what the middle-aged nurse had said she relaxes and calms herself. She wanted to ask what it was but after she remembered that there was still handful of patients in the emergency to attend she rushed herself to the patients.

The surgery administered by Dr. Alcantara lasted for two hours at least to prevent from losing his leg, he removed the debris left inside his body. As for his skin condition, they covered it with their synthetic skin to avoid it from infections. All in all the surgery went well and the nurse informed the spouse about it.

Zick opened the operations room and to his surprise the patient's wife hugged him as she saw very happy of what he has done. "Doctor thank you so much! Thank you so much! Without you I didn't know who will raise our twin boys by myself. Thank you so much!" The wife is crying happily after her spouse success operation.

"Madam you don't have to thank me as it's my job to save people."

"No doctor I'm very happy and glad that you have attended my husband, compared to that lady doctor who watches my husband from. The moment we entered the hospital." The patient's wife misunderstood Eya from her reaction a while ago. She thought that Eya disgusted her husband and didn't want to attend him.

After hearing the patient's wife's remarks, Zick remembered that Eya went shock after seeing the patient. The left the wife and excuse himself as he needs to help the other patients at the emergency room.

Before heading to the room, Zick detoured and went to the pantry and fetched a chamomile tea for Eya. He knew that even though Eya loves morbid movies and such she instantly froze when she sees horrible cases of accidents.
