Let Him Love You First 130 “Oh My God!”

She wrapped up everything earlier that day and went home first to change her dress from her formal office attire to a casual dinner dress. Her dress is line spaghetti straps satin little black backless with lace. The length of her dress can only cover three inches above her knees, which she considered as the shortest little black dress that she had. Zoey paired it with her red high heel pumps shoes.

She thought that it would be the first time that she tried to dress up for someone special to her other than for family. Before Zoey killed that dress to impress motif to all gatherings she attend to at least stand out from all but now one their first dinner date slash her birthday Zoey thought that she needs to mind Nickel what else she can offer to his eyes. (This is not a rated SPG thing kids! Calm yourselves!)

Zoey booked a grab cab to send her to Valley hill where she will be meeting Nickel.

As she arrived the venue, the driver asked her twice if the place is open or not because the place looks empty. No lights were on nor people around. Zoey check the address and name she searched before confirming to the driver that they are at the place.

"You sure, miss? Can you please call the person you will be meeting there before they sent you off? I'm actually afraid that something might happen to you." The driver showed his fatherly instinct to Zoey as he remembers that bad things happen whenever it is dark and isolated.

Zoey compiled to what the driver asked her before hopping out the cab. Of course, she was also afraid is she leaves the car and that no one is in here. She dialed Nickel's number and after a few rings he answers.

"Honey? Where are you?" You will sense through her voice that fear is slowly eating her up. Her voice is a little bit shaky and she also started biting her nails as a sign of her nervousness.

"I'm here waiting for you."

"Where?"

"Hha! Baby of course here at Valley hill."

"But the Valley hill I'm seeing is close for operation. There is no lights on nor any people." Zoey was already wanted to ask the driver to take her back to Serenity Condominium when a soft knocks interrupt her thoughts. It was Nickel, in his all black suit. He also prepared for this night just like Zoey's.

Zoey's face brightens up when she saw the face of her man. Even the driver sensed her relief that they are in the right place. She politely thanked the driver for caring for her just in that short moment and as a small reward Nickel paid him twice the booked fare of Zoey.

The two walked side by side to Valley hill like the perfect couple in any awards night. Although both of them wear black dress and suit on a dark evening their aura still lighten up the place.

They entered the restaurant and saw that there is only one table set in the middle of it. "Did you?" Zoey couldn't finished her words because Nickel already answered her with knowing what did he did.

"Yes."

Nickel rented the entire place just for them and for his surprise. He helped her settled in her seat before giving her a sunflower bouquet. "Happy birthday, my love"

"I thought…" Zoey couldn't belief that he knew. He freaking knew that was the day today and yet he choose to keep his mouth shut and let her be depress that her man missed her birthday on their first month. But what Nickel did a while ago before she finished her sentence he already answered and tried to complete it.

"That I forgot what the day it is for you? That would be ashamed if I actually did and maybe you will be condemning me for the rest of your life for doing that."

Zoey's jaw was left hanging because how could he know what was on her mind. But before she reacts she heard someone said.

"Oh come on, Nicanor! Let her finish her words. We're not in Frozen Movie where you can finish each other's sandwiches." And, "yes! She will really do that condemnation. HAHAHAHA!"

Those voices were seemed familiar into ears and before names registered in her mind, a black curtain fell down showed a 'Happy birthday, Zoey!' balloon arrangement floating on the ceiling with all the people she knew. Together with party poppers, everyone screamed their lungs out a happy birthday to Zoey.

Zoey, on the other, didn't know what to say. She just covered her mouth with her hands from the emotions that were starting to build up inside her.

"OH MY G.o.d!" She said.

Nickel was all looking at her, trying to depict her reaction from his surprise. His great awe was what if Zoey would not like it.

Zoey tried to look at everyone's faces, these were the people to tried to sn.o.b and reject her on her special day, most especially her parents and brother who are standing in the center of the crowd smiling from ear to ear.

Zick mouthed her 'peace' with a V sign hand gesture.

After calming herself out that was the time she turned to Nickel who was nervous from her. Zoey cupped her cheeks and smacked her lips to his that made everyone inside Valley hill lost their minds.

"Thank you!" She said then hugged him tightly.
