"Your Majesty?"

"Yes, Clyde?"

Back in the dining hall that Cole was previously in, Lucille and Clyde were having a little chat.

"Are you sure it was fine to just let him leave like that?"

"Of course it was. I've watched him all his life and it's better to leave him alone."

Lucille rea.s.sured Clyde and took a sip of her favorite orange juice. After she did so she held the gla.s.s up and peered into its contents.

"I'll admit, I am slightly worried though."

"About what, Your Majesty?"

"About the day he goes insane."

Clyde became visibly shocked at Lucille's declaration while she simply put her gla.s.s back down.

Clyde took a few deep breaths and asked Lucille once again.

"Why do you say so, Your Majesty?"

"Because of his personality."

"Personality?"

"Yes."

Lucille finished off her remaining orange juice and headed towards the door with Clyde quickly following.

"Because of his kind of personality, he'll surely go insane because of that."

"Because of what?"

With Clyde's question, they stopped right before the door and Lucille said to him.

"I won't tell you. Since you don't know what he's truly like."

And strode out the door.

"D-daughter?"

"Papa?"

Continuing back from where we left off the previous chapter, Braith was currently confused as to where exactly this man had come from and Eva was confused as well as to why her father had made such a declaration.

Cole, not caring about the state of mind they were in at that moment, put Eva on his shoulders while he carried Braith like a bag.

And walked out of Rose Garden.

------------------

30 minutes later

------------------

The trio was nearing the castle exit where Cole knew the location of when he saw the castle's future and memorized thanks to his nifty Mechanica brain.

It was basically like a computer, really convenient yet scary.

Anyway, it was when they were about to go through another one of the numerous unnecessarily big doors.

"Ara? You're leaving already?"

A Lucille had appeared out of somewhere (she couldn't have appeared from nowhere, right? It's not like there's magic-- Ooh...)

Along with a light-brown haired, pointed-ear demon knight behind her.

Cole turned his head to face her, secretly thinking that she must have seen some pretty weird stuff to not be weirded out with what he was doing to two young children.

"Ah! It's the woman who I think kidnapped me!"

Before Cole could get a response out, Eva beat him to the punch.

"I didn't kidnap you, you were free to go wherever you wanted, right?"

"!"

'She's not wrong about that...'

Seeing that Lucille was right, Eva promptly shut up. Braith's head was thrown into confusion once more.

'Eh? Kidnapping? I wasn't paying attention at all when this man talked about something to father.'

'So Eva really is his daughter... I should have known, they look really similar after all.'

After Eva had shut her mouth and Braith had called down immediately after, Cole finally found his chance to speak.

"First of all, yes, we are and second of all..."

Cole put down Braith and Eva down for a while and positioned himself to be right in front of their view so they wouldn't see what he was about to do.

Cole put on a straight face and slowly lifted up his right arm.

"Hmm?"

"What is he doing?"

Were the questions Lucille and Clyde asked themselves when they saw Cole's strange actions.

And then he did the one thing that he would forever remember in his life.

He flipped off the Queen of the entire〈Demon Realm〉

"Wh-"

"How dare you disrespect her Majesty!"

"I wouldn't do so if this entire situation hadn't happened because of her. Bye, bye."

With that as his last message for them, he grabbed Eva and Braith in a flash and ran straight through the door.

"Wait! Come back!"

"... Pft..."

"Your Majesty?"

Clyde was about to pursue them but stopped when he heard his Queen say something.

"Hahahahahahaha!!"

"Your Majesty?!"

Clyde was suprised by his Queen's sudden fit of laughter.

She wore a smile that only held genuine happiness instead of the cynical one she would have when she faced... well, anybody.

'I haven't seen her laugh that hard in ages.'

Not wanting to miss or ruin the once-of-lifetime chance of his Queen's laughing face, Clyde gave up the idea of chasing Cole.

He still would make him pay though.

"Okay, Madame. Thank you for your time."

"No, it should be me who should apologize for having you police officers handle such an ugly issue."

"No... It's just our job..."

Inside one of the police stations in the entire city of〈Pandemonium〉, was a smiling Lala, a blus.h.i.+ng Minotaur police officer, a pa.s.sed out Val on a couch and a Felicia sipping tea.

"We shall leave now."

"Have a safe trip."

Felicia, noticing that Lala had ended her conversation with the police officer, took the signal and lifted off the unconscious Val off the couch and walked out the police station's doors with her.

"Lala, no Miss Lala."

"What is it, Felicia?"

"I will never get into an argument with you."

"Good to know."

Lala kept her usual smile and continued walking down the streets.

'What a sh*tty day...'

Was the only thought Felicia had in her mind as she stared at the〈Demon Realm〉's purple sky.

"Oi! Felicia!"

"Eh? Cole?"

"Sir Cole?"

Or it was so until she heard the familiar voice of her beloved (one-sided) Cole.

Cole ran up to them, with Braith and Eva still being carried by him. And although he noticed the unconscious Val and off smile Lala had, he decided not to question it and reduced that it was probably because Val did something stupid.

"Let's go home!"

He then flashed a cute smile to Felicia, causing her to forget her complaints about the happenings of the entire day.

'? Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something?'

Felicia felt that she was supposed to ask him something, but unfortunately forgot it due to the new found trauma from Lala.

But seeing the smile on Cole's face, she felt it wasn't that important anymore.

"Let's!"

And thus ended their time in the

〈Demon Realm〉
