Alex quietly entered his inner world in an instant. His consciousness travelled towards the world and immediately sensed the source energy of the world.
However, he concentrated on a small area, as if he was trying to look for something. Slowly he began to see the transparent blanket actually separate out into thin films of thousands of colors. Alex could see a smorgasbord of colors within that small section under his concentration.
He slowly looked through the different colors, gradually sorting through them. He eventually found small hints of a blue color hiding within the transparent blanket. Alex's eyes brightened and he began to concentrate on that blue attribute. As he went finer, he found many shades of blue, but he picked the truest blue he could find that felt like water and observed it.
He observed that hint of true blue, following its behavior. He was like a zoologist quietly sitting in a jungle waiting to observe an extremely rare to find species. His entire focus was on that hint of water attribute in the air.
The water attribute had a gentle movement that imbued flexibility and continuity. It also had an element of grace in its movements as well as the potential for strength. He could also see hints of other calmness as well as soothing traits within the movement.
When Alex opened his eyes, an entire day had pa.s.sed. He felt a little exhausted from his concentrated observation of the water attribute, but he was glad. His suspicion was indeed correct, that he could see the attributes even though he only had formed his base card.
After freshening up and doing the daily ch.o.r.es, Alex entered the VR capsule. He wanted to see if he would integrate the feeling he had become one with during yesterday's deep observation.
He went into the PvP mode and was matched with a person with one win, 'The Maester'. Alex already had two cards from the previous PvP battle and got a new card. He now had fire ball, stun and a water fortification card, by luck.
When The Maester saw the name of his opponent he frowned. "Your Dad is a Noob, did you think it was a good pun?" The Maester asked.
Alex ignored his comment and immediately used the water fortification card on himself. The maester raised his eye and then used a card himself. It rapidly increased his speed.
Alex calmly walked forward, while trying to remember the feeling of water. Immediately, it felt like hints of water began surrounding his body. The Maester rushed towards Alex with great speed and took out his weapon, a sword.
With his speed, the sword would become a deadly weapon. He swung his sword to quickly end his enemy, however, every move of Alex continued to be gentle. He fluidly moved his hand upwards and pinched the speeding sword and the sword felt like it had met a gentle wave and its momentum was immediately stalled.
Alex then used his right hand to punch out. A terrifying force of a powerful wave emerged with the punch and slammed into the opponent who was blasted backwards like a ragdoll. His health immediately depleted to zero. Alex did not receive any card, because his opponent did not have any backlog from previous matches.
The maester disappeared and Alex also exited. Alex had a smile on his face. He really had succeeded in introducing an element of the water within his military boxing style through observation. He felt somewhat confident of the next level in the 1 card trial tower.
Since he was still continuing his first attempt, Alex could freely enter the tower without paying a fee.
When he entered, he arrived on the arena of the third level. His opponent was a woman with blue hair. Her every move also had the grace of water within. When Alex saw her, he could see hints of that water attribute element within her.
Both the combatants received the Rank 1 Water Fortification card. Alex immediately used it, as did the opponent. Once the woman used the card, her demeanor changed and water began flowing around her, her eyes became blue.
Alex raised an eye. "Her base card probably has a high water affinity!" Alex thought. The woman felt like she was water itself.
The two immediately jumped to each other, Alex's moves were like flowing water, but so were those of his opponents. With each move of her hand a whip of water would form and slam into Alex from his right. However, Alex was prepared for this. He gently grabbed the whip with his right hand as if he was one with the water and then transformed it into a powerful jet that unleashed with his left handed punch. The punch, as well as the sh.e.l.l of water forming around his hand hit into his opponent who lost some health, but the effect was relatively muted.
The opponent's understanding wasn't low. The two continued fighting while harnessing the water element. Alex felt like he was weaker in using the water attribute compared to his opponent, but his combat knowledge seemed better.
Outside the tower, as the battle was going on, people were looking at the screen showing battle statistics.
"Hey look, a new comer has reached the third level in their first attempt."
"Your Dad is a Noob? What a terrible sense of naming." Another growled.
"I fought with him. He is a newbie, but his combat strength is strong."
At that moment, the screen showed that Your Dad is a Noob won his third battle undefeated on first attempt.
People looked at the person suddenly appearing out of the tower, his face was blurred, but everyone could read his name which hovered above his head.
Alex ignored the others looking at him and went offline.
"He won three battles. Looks like he is planning to challenge the tenth slab undefeated? Its been a few weeks since someone has accomplished that." Someone commented.
"This is first trial attempt as well. Its been six months since a newcomer to this trial defeated 10 in a row in their first attempt. Can this guy so it?"
"Who knows." People shrugged and moved on. This was just a natter of momentary interest to them.
However The Maester was looking at the name with determination in his eyes.
