I Can Respawn In The Apocalypse! 84 Chapter 84: Military Scouts I

Thus when the first scouts got to Manhattan after crossing they went to wait for there Backup in Chinatown. The nearest Landmark building which would easily spot the military was naturally Confucius Plaza thus they started setting up their base in the Confucius Plaza.

But now that I have already taken over the Confucius Plaza and blocked off the Manhattan Bridge the only way for the military to get in through the Manhattan Bridge would be if I was to lift the Barricade I created at the Bridge.

Thus I just need to wait for now. 5 days later are when the first of the scouts will arrive. I'd better tidy up the city a bit so that they can feel more at home when they arrive.

Thus in the first days before the Scouts arrived Chinatown underwent a great change.

I had made multiple blockades to block off streets by using cars.

I also riddled the city of Chinatown full of Dungeon Entrances so it would be easier for my men to lure the Zombies into the Dungeon where they would be forever trapped in a pit.

Time past quickly for after 5 days we had only created a safe zone covering a 1-mile radius around Confucius Plaza. Meaning we had almost all of Chinatown covered.

In the 5 days the number of men I had saved increased by a few couple thousand...

To be exact we now have a population of 4,500 people...

Yeah, from a couple hundred to a couple thousand is a really large increase but thankfully because of the food in Manhattan we won't need to worry about them starving or at least for the time being.

However, now that the population increased so much I couldn't arm all of them so I created a separate workforce in the group where people will start creating weapons and tools with the supplies we managed to scavenge.

I had them quickly start a production line for weapons which could be used easily.

For example, as long as you attach a throwing knife onto a stick you get yourself a spear. With the large amounts of people I saved and with the supplies we found, I created a production line for simple yet effective weapons almost immediately. They would be able to deal at least a good amount of damage if aimed at the right part of a zombie. At least they are useful for now when they are only Tier 0.

Other than simple melee weapons I also had them collect items that could do great damage.

I had them especially collect tanks of ammonia, ethane, propane, butane, Methyl chloride, acetic acid, and dichloromethane. These are tanks of refrigerant which I know are flammable. As long as I do the correct tweaking to the tanks all of them are practically bombs. I collected a total of 250 small tanks and about 50 large tanks.

Thus after 5 days although not everyone has a gun all of them at least have a blunt weapon.

With 4,500 people gathered it is about 8 times the size of the personnel the military originally sent when they created a base in Chinatown.

It was at about 5:00 PM on the fifth day when I received a message from one of the groups of lookouts I had in the southern perimeter of the blockade.

They sent a report claiming a team of 10 Men suited in military uniform have shown up by the blockade and are asking to meet with me.

So they have finally shown up.

They are near the Barricade border gate which was created at the on Park Row Street.

Just like I thought, for that is the closest route to get to Chinatown.

I immediately hop onto a Reinforced Golem car and started heading in that direction.

Although it is already 5:00 PM and nearing the time for Dinner I can make it there and back in a short 10 minutes due to there now being no traffic Laws.

When I get there I hear a lot of commotion coming from the wall which I created as a bunch of people had started gathering around over there.

"Make way! Boss Li Xin has come so make way immediately or else you will be punished by having a 2 day training period added onto your schedule."

Immediately after that, all the people made way and some went so far as to directly disperse.

This is due to the training regiment I started creating becoming more well known for becoming harsher and harsher as the days past.

As the size of the population increase, the number of buildings which I could use to train these people increased as well resulting in a day of group training all the fighters together.

That day happened just yesterday so naturally, it stuck in there mind and word of the nightmare-like training spread from ear to ear until it became a horror story all the people told to there children.

Although a majority of the people still stayed behind a route for me to drive through to get to the border wall had been created.

After I got to the front of the gate which I created I sat on the golem escalator which leads to the top of the wall.

It was only after that did I see a group of soldiers staring up at me. They had a particular look in their eyes of which they used to appraise me.

There also seemed to be a certain guy within the group who had a burst of mana coming out from his eyes.

Interesting to think there would be an awakened among the scout team.

He probably has a sensory type of skill.

Unfortunately, that still doesn't work on me. For after having years of experience in the Apocalypse people naturally learn to hide or at least conceal there presence from sensory powers.

This was mainly due to the tyranny of the Large survival Bases.

In the future, a certain survival base used people with sensory powers to scout out people who awakened and had these people become guinea pigs for some experiments.
