"That's interesting." Sally says with a smile on her face. "Let's go to the arena" says loud so everyone can hear.
A cry of approval can be heard from someone, soon after you can hear several voices of encouragement the words of the adventurer.
"And...that's right" says the receptionist, who was paralyzed by that whole scene, had finally managed to recover and started acting. "If you wish to battle, it must be done in an appropriate place. I will prepare the arena."
I'd never heard of anything like it before, probably realizing my doubt the receptionist decides to explain it to me.
"In this guild we have an arena in the back, sometimes we organize battles for the public, but most of the time it is rented for adventurers who want to solve their problems with combat."
After a few more explanations I understand everything. The fighters have the right to make a single demand to the opponent before the fight, the loser, at the end of the fight, in addition to doing what has been requested must also pay the rent of the arena.
"Sounds interesting." Sally says with a big smile on her face. "I challenge you, bat."
During his speech he makes a truly disgusting expression, then he looks towards Bianca.
"You'll be my prize" talks by licking your lips.
The girl takes a few steps back in repudiation.
"You really get me more and more p.i.s.sed off," I say, taking a step and getting closer to him. "Will you be able to make that s.c.r.o.t.u.my smile after the bones on your face are crushed?"
Everyone who was in the guild goes to the back. The arena was round, there was a radius of about twenty meters, truly enormous. Maybe it's done that way because there are several people with magic. I go one way and Sally goes the other.
While people were walking in, Bianca and Alicia sat down with me to support me.
"I'm sorry about that" I speak after looking around.
The bleachers were near where we were. Several adventurers shouted threats in our direction, most directed at the girls.
"Don't worry about it." Bianca talks on her shoulder. "I understand your reasons, it's unpleasant to say... but I felt the looks of hostility when I walked past the guild door. They'd get in trouble by now or another time."
Despite her words of understanding she seemed nervous. Seeing this, the little girl next to him, who seemed happy in some way, starts talking.
"There's nothing to worry about." Alicia says cheerfully. Maybe the only one of us who's in a good mood right now. "Ioan's gonna take that guy out."
"Of course I will," I answer by smiling and making a coffee in your head.

Alicia usually shows unquestionable faith in me in moments of tension. This makes me happy, after all, trust in your companions may be the difference between life and death, but isn't it overestimating me?
A woman comes near us. He wears an outfit that looks like the receptionist who attended us.
"It's time. Please follow me, Mr. Ioan." Your speech is extremely formal.
I look at my two companions who sit while I get up.
"No need to worry, I've measured his strength before, there's no chance I'll be defeated" I speak following the woman.
Entering the arena I can see that there were more people in the bleachers than expected, apparently not only adventurers came, looking around people who looked like simple peasants could also be seen.
As I watch, I end up focusing my vision on someone specific. Two men, one of them stood out for his clothes, which seemed very expensive and ended up standing out from the rest. Beside him was the second, thanks to my inhuman instincts I could feel a difference in his aura, this was not what stood out the most, his height was something that stood out, which was even more evident with the amount of muscles he had, but nothing stood out more than his tail and white wolf's ears.
That's it! Finally I found a beast-man, so far the only races I have encountered when arriving on this continent were monsters and humans, finding other races that could only be seen in video games in my old world is exciting.
In this half-time when I was immersed in my thoughts a person enters the arena. He was the same receptionist as before, but his clothes were a little different, he wore leather armor over his guild uniform.
"I, as the organizer of this fight, have been appointed as judge."
When he starts talking, everybody's quiet.
"Today will be a conflict resolution fight" speaks for Sally. "Our first compet.i.tor was the one who made the challenge to his opponent. A veteran adventurer from the region, please welcome Sally the Destroyer!"
As soon as the name and surname are spoken, the arena burst into applause and shouting. Sally seemed to be even more famous than I expected around here, but what really caught my attention was her nickname... 'the destroyer', a smile eventually forms on my face.
I notice he's looking directly at me. Veins could be seen almost bursting in his forehead, it seems that laughing at his nickname made him even angrier. Unfortunately I can't do anything, with a nickname like that it's impossible not to bring laughter. What is he? A WWE fighter?
The judge turns to me and starts talking.
"Today's second contestant is Ioan Ilie." As soon as he speaks my name, whispers start all over the arena. It's not common for someone to have a last name. "A rookie adventurer who's on a great rise may think he's a n.o.bleman by his surname, but the surprise is even greater, our compet.i.tor is nothing more than a vampire."
You come from everywhere as soon as you spoke my name, but to say that I am a vampire also only made it worse. It certainly wasn't an ethical thing to do just before a battle, but who would you complain to in this place? I look at those two men from before, they had their faces closed before, but now they were even more rigid.
"Now the demands on each side" says taking a step back, thus leaving me and Sally face to face.
That was our cue.
"I'm going to have an incredible night of pleasure with that little woman who walks with him," he says, smoothing the handle of his sword.
I look at the judge.
"If I remember the deal and that you can demand something from your opponent. My partner is not in agreement" I speak.
"Nothing done, those are the terms," he answers with a singing smile in my direction.
Shouts of approval come from the bleachers.
Looks like the fight will be two-on-one, that's terrible... for them.
"Now your competing demands" still says with that smile to me.
"Well, I don't have any..." Actually, this is a good opportunity. "Revocation of my opponent's t.i.tle of adventurer."
Everyone in the arena is silent, even those two idiots in front of me are open-mouthed. Sally sounded a lot right now.
"What? Didn't you like my demand?" I ask, returning the same smile as before. "you agreed to his demand should have no problem with mine, right? At most you will be blamed for the loss of one of the best adventurers in the region."
The judge looks at me paralyzed for a while, I can see that his hand was shaking a bit, then his gaze turns towards Sally. They look at each other for a few seconds, but the future ex adventurer begins to smile.
"Do you really think you have a chance to beat me? "After talking, he starts laughing. "That's good, let's go with that, there's no way I'm going to be defeated by that bat."
Looking at me the judge sends a threatening look, I just send a smile in response. That fight was just a punishment I was gonna give Sally, but now it looks like I'm gonna have to discipline two idiots.
"The demands have been accepted" announces. "Compet.i.tors may use any weapon without restriction, magic is also accepted, as long as it is not lethal, the battle ends after one side accepts defeat or after the judge's interference."
Murmurs could still be heard around the place, most talking about how absurd my request was and how risky it was.
"Don't worry Sally" I speak when the judge starts to distance himself from the combat area.
"What are you talking about now? It's no use apologizing now," he says with a c.o.c.ky expression.
"I wouldn't do something like that," I answer. "I'm just saying don't worry about losing your adventurous t.i.tle, after all, when this fight is over you won't be able to get into a fight again."
