The restaurant might be a part of Yang Corps. However, it is one of the lower tier restaurants that belongs under the Yang Corps name. It was a simple and ordinary restaurant with no private room.
Nevertheless, the staff had set up a private area for the three special guests in the far corner of the place. The individual sector was divided from the rest of the customers by a Shoji screen.
The three of them sat down, and the waitress came over to greet them and gave them a choice of menus to select. The restaurant is unique because it carries a multicultural selection of food choices. However, Grandfather Yang is such a traditional Chinese man. He had chosen the Chinese Menu.
Most of the customers in the restaurant knew that these customers are people of high status. Some knew that these particular guests are the Chairman and President of Yang Corps. At such a busy time such as lunch hour, most customers would have to wait for a table to be seated.
Nonetheless, they could only be jealous of them. Tong Yue-Yan walked in with confidence as she followed them inside. She wasn't a n.o.body that no one could recognise. After all, she has quite a bit of fame as well, as the heir to the Tong Family.
After they had ordered some dishes from the Chinese menu, the waitress left to place the orders. Grandfather Yang quickly cut to the chase the minute the waitress left. "I want you to first apologise to Yue-Yan here. You had ignored her when that vicious woman bullied her."
Yang Tian-Xu stood up from his chair and did what he was asked to do. "I apologised on behalf of Yang Cooperation and Faithful Gold Enterprise's spokeswoman." Then, he sat back down. Tong Yue-Yan was dumbfounded, as she thought, "Did he think this is a business matter? Why is he treating it like it is?"
Of course, Yang Tian-Xu treated his apologies as nothing more than a business matter. To Yang Tian-Xu, this is, in fact, a business matter. Lee Yin-Yin had signed a contract with Faithful Gold Enterprise, who in terms are partners with Yang Corps.
It is only natural for him to protect the image of a spokesperson who had signed a contract to represent both Yang Corps, and Faithful Gold Enterprise. Apologising for their behaviours is always a part of being a president. Yang Tian-Xu never thought of it as anything more.
Grandfather Yang was also dumbfounded and curious as to his thoughts. Grandfather Yang asked him. "Why do you make this issue sounds like it was just a business matter?"
"Because it is, Ye-Ye." He said bluntly. "Lee Yin-Yin is currently our business partner's spokesperson. If she had offended someone, it is my responsibility to apologise on her behalf."
"If you removed her position as the spokesperson, then it will no longer be an issue." Grandfather Yang said, in a clear and strict voice.
Grandfather Yang wanted Yang Tian-Xu to remove Lee Yin-Yin from her position as the spokeswoman. However, Yang Corps and Faithful Gold Enterprise had just signed a contract with her. How could he change the spokeswoman without Jin Qi-Long's permission?
However, Yang Tian-Xu never wanted to explain that the person who has decided to have Lee Yin-Yin as the spokeswoman was Jin Qi-Long. Yang Tian-Xu honestly said, "I will not remove Lee Yin-Yin's position as the spokesperson.
"Why not?" Grandfather Yang suddenly became curious, he looked at his grandson's expression and couldn't see any emotion in him.
Yang Tian-Xu never feels the need to explain his reasons, not even to the chairman. He simply told him. "Because the reason to remove her is foolish."
"Foolish you say? The woman had used violence on Yue-Yan!" Grandfather Yang raises up his voice. His voice was loud and can surely show his displeasure.
Grandfather Yang thought that his reason was more than enough. He asked his grandson. "How can that not be a good enough reason? She will ruin our business' image if you continue to use her."
"I am afraid that isn't true." Yang Tian-Xu disagreed with Grandfather Yang, as he continued to give him the reason. "Lee Yin-Yin is an internationally famous artist. She is known as our country's number one idol."
Yang Tian-Xu paused for a moment as he stared at Tong Yue-Yan and he continued, "Also, it wasn't just Miss Tong who was injured. There are equal signs of abuse on Miss Lee as well. However, she never complains about it, and she hasn't even called in to change her schedule for the filming on Friday."
"How can you compare her with Yue-Yan, Lee Yin-Yin is only just a singer!?" Grandfather Yang was authentic when he asked Yang Tian-Xu. "What is your relations.h.i.+p with Lee Yin-Yin?"
"Ye-Ye! If you are going to question my decision on using Lee Yin-Yin, you might as well question my ability as Yang Corps' President!" Yang Tian-Xu shouted back, as he was starting to feel irritated. Yang Tian-Xu could not believe that his Grandfather would blindly side with Tong Yue-Yan.
"Ye-Ye, you have not heard the entire story, and yet you had already blindly sided with Miss Tong." Yang Tian-Xu's words were sharp, and it was clear. Grandfather Yang was left speechless, as he was indeed biased.
They were quiet for a moment as their orders rolled out. The waitress came with their food orders on a rolling cart and one dish at a time, she lay them on the roundtable.
For the quiet moment when the food came out, Yang Tian-Xu could only think about one thing. His thoughts were about w.a.n.g Yi-An, even with Lee Yin-Yin status as a world famous idol. Grandfather Yang would still have chosen to side with Tong Yue-Yan.
What about w.a.n.g Yi-An? She is someone without any social status, w.a.n.g Yi-An was only an intern. Simply put, if she was to be compared with Lee Yin-Yin, w.a.n.g Yi-An is n.o.body. Would his grandfather be so biased and unfair towards her as well? Yang Tian-Xu's heart starts to ache as he thought to himself. "How can I bring you happiness?"
