His cold att.i.tude towards her was something his mother had to warn her about last night before Tian-Xu went home.

However, she remains by his side. Without saying another word, she was in his presence, silently watching him. While he was thinking about someone else, Tong Yue-Yan thought she perhaps had made a step closer to Yang Tian-Xu.

"Do you want another cup of coffee?" Tong Yue-Yan asked him politely. The time was 1:30 PM, as they had been sitting around for over an hour or so. Yang Tian-Xu had finally turned to look at her as he said, "Sorry, I must be boring you. Would you like to go?"

"It's alright!" She was a bit nervous, and she didn't want him to think she was bored. "We can stay if you like." Then her stomach growls a little. She had not eaten breakfast because she was busy getting ready and dressing up the entire morning. She blushes as she holds her belly. "Sorry…" Yang Tian-Xu gave a gentle smile, "We should go for lunch. I wouldn't want you to starve."

They left the coffee shop and were on their way back to where Yang Tian-Xu had parked his car. Even though, the underground parking was at the opposite corner across the street. They would have to cross the road eventually. They can choose to go straight and stay on their current side of the street until they reach the traffic lights, then pa.s.s, or they could cross now and be on the other side of the road.

Yang Tian-Xu had purposely decided to walk across the street, where the homeless man was. He pa.s.sed by him and gave the man his change which he had received from paying for coffee. Tong Yue-Yan is a wealthy lady, how could she have any change? All she had in her wallet was credited and debit cards.

She wanted to look like a sweet and kind girl in front of Yang Tian-Xu, but she can't give the homeless man with her credit cards, so she pa.s.sed by the homeless man and said to Yang Tian-Xu "It is such a shame that I don't have any cash on me." Yang Tian-Xu didn't care. "It's alright, not a lot of people bring cash now a day." That is a fact, in this modern world. Almost everything and almost anything could be digitised.

Yang Tian-Xu has been just like Tong Yue-Yan yesterday, who would only bring his credits and debit cards. The thoughts of helping out the man only occur to him after he had met her. She had indeed left him an impression that remains in his mind.

The time was already, 1:45 PM. They had reached the underground parking where Yang Tian-Xu parked his car. He had stationed there for two times now. Also in the same spot, he had parked yesterday.

They got into the car, and he drove out, today there wasn't as much traffic as it did yesterday. They promptly got into the street, and Yang Tian-Xu took her to an expensive restaurant when they got there it was already 2:15 PM.

The restaurant looked fancy, and each table has their cubic seating area. Yang Tian-Xu usually would have his business lunches in this restaurant.

The staff there recognised Yang Tian-Xu as he often came from his business discussions. The crew showed them to his most common table. Tong Yue-Yan and Yang Tian-Xu looked good together as they walked towards the arranged table. They sat across from each other, face to face. The other staff member would often whisper about them behind their backs.

Yang Tian-Xu is a tall, handsome man, who is over six feet tall. Perhaps he is 6'2 or even 6'3. Tong Yue-Yan has a height of 5'10; she could be a model if she wanted to. However, with her family background, does she need for it? With the jealousy of many of the female staff, Tong Yue-Yan felt like she has it all. She has excellent table manners, and once the crews gave them a menu and served them water, she didn't forget to thank them politely.

Tong Yue-Yan study history and is a fan of ancient Chinese history. She knew very well of the Yang Family heroic tales and admired them for it. Throughout the wait, for their meals, she would tell him, just how fascinating she was about his family's history. Yang Tian-Xu heard his family tales from his father and grandfather many times before. It's not a surprise for him; he did not mind her talk about his family history. Nevertheless, he has no interest in it.

They ordered a western meal. Tong Yue-Yan had ordered a chicken salad, and he ordered the house pasta special. She would ask him questions about his life, and he would answer. Other than that, he seems unwilling to engage in their conversation. Finally, the meals have arrived, and they would both eat their meals quietly.

During the entire meal, Yang Tian-Xu would often pull out his phone and ask his a.s.sistant, Tseng Kuan-yin. He would ask about the interviews and demands that he reported the current situations to him.

Tong Yue-Yan wasn't so happy about his absent attention towards her, but still, she endured it and was just satisfied to be able to have a meal with him. She takes her time slowly. Yang Tian-Xu had already finished his meal by the time the clock hit 2:45 PM.

a.s.sistant Tseng jokily texts him, "How's the future Mrs Yang?"

He frowns his eyebrows and texts back, "What future Mrs Yang?" He made it very obvious in his messages that he had no intention of marrying Tong Yue-Yan. a.s.sistant Tseng understood him very well that Yang Tian-Xu is a workaholic and only wanted to know about the current situation at the company.

"Stop joking around. How are this year's interns looking? Any talents?" he quickly messaged back and inquired about the interviews. a.s.sistant Tseng texts, "Everything is doing great, President Yang. You don't have to worry too much. I can handle it, and I will keep you updated."

Yang Tian-Xu never really had to worry about his a.s.sistant, he knew the man was competent. It's just all that he is feeling a little bored. How long does it usually take for a person to finish up a salad? As Tong Yue-Yan takes her sweet time with her meal, Yang Tian-Xu didn't bother to hurry her up. He sat there quietly as he reads over some news in the business industry. Occasionally, he would imagine that he was having lunch with her, and let out a small gentle smile. Then he began to wonder to himself again. "Just where are you?"

The weather was bright on a Friday afternoon. The girl, with long, s.h.i.+ny Light-Black hair and light-brown eyes, appeared at Yang Corps' front entrance. Her name is w.a.n.g Yi-An, she wasn't as pretty as Tong Yue-Yan if you have to compare them. However, she is the girl that Yang Tian-Xu couldn't stop thinking about since the first day he met her. It was unfortunate that Yang Tian-Xu wasn't able to attend today's group of interviews. It was a missed opportunity for the both of them and a cruel joke from the heavens.

The Yang's Family Corporation might be a successful company, but their intake of interns every year is limited. Since every intern selected, is a guarantee future employee. Most of the interns would continue to work for the Yang Corps after their graduation because of the significant benefits they could get. Becoming an intern at Yang Corps yield plenty of benefits as well, like medical, dental, etc. However, they can't compare to the interns' ent.i.tlement for a Full-Time Employee of Yang Corps.

The most important one for w.a.n.g Yi-An was the Educational a.s.sistant program. The educational a.s.sistant program is an exclusive benefit for their employees; Yang Corp would pay 100% of the employee's tuition fee, as well as book fees, supplies, equipment, etc. There is also a wage while you are in school! Yang Corp would pay an hourly wage for their employees to go to school! What other companies would do this? That only Yang Corps would!

w.a.n.g Yi-An desperately wanted the interns.h.i.+p. A direct application of employment to Yang Corps was a bit far-fetch because they required high experiences and educations. There were hundreds of students applying for the interns.h.i.+p program. As for w.a.n.g Yi-An she had been hoping for this day for a while. After suffering three years of full-time school during the day, while working at her part-time job at night. Life had been strenuous for w.a.n.g Yi-An. Even so, she still worked hard as soon as she had enough credentials to apply for the interns.h.i.+p, she did so immediately.

The Yang Corps interns.h.i.+p program is three months long. Afterwards, they would usually give their interns a letter of an employment offer. Unless the student rejects it, or that the student has not reached their expectations during the three month period; however, that would be a rare case.

The antic.i.p.ation kept w.a.n.g Yi-An nervous, and she would fidget with her fingers, as she remains seated on the chair, quietly in the waiting room along with twenty others. She had her eyes closed for a moment, so she could relax and calm herself down from the anxiety.

w.a.n.g Yi-An took a deep breath, and each interviewee would take about 15 to 30 minutes to complete their interview process. w.a.n.g Yi-An arrived an hour before her scheduled interview time. Her interview was supposed to be at 2:30 PM, but she was already there before 1:30 PM.

The time soon hit 2:30 PM and a female member of the staff called out her name. "w.a.n.g Yi-An, your interview is in room 2." After she informed w.a.n.g Yi-An, she showed her the way to room 2 and said with a smile, "Good luck." and then she opened the door for w.a.n.g Yi-An as soon as she heard the voice from inside the room.

As the a.s.sistant shout out "Next please!", The door opened up, and the previous interviewee walked out. Then w.a.n.g Yi-An walked in, with a bright smile on her face. She wasn't nervous anymore, and she was just as excited as she was from the night before this interview. Working for the Yang Corporation was a big dream of hers, with this interview she would pave a path filled with hope for her and her family.

"h.e.l.lo, My name is w.a.n.g Yi-An, a lot of people call me Xiao-An or An-An. It's a pleasure to meet with you all!" she said in an excited voice, and she lowered her head down to greet them.

There was a total of three hiring manager. In the middle was a.s.sistant Tseng Kuan-Yin. He had taken President Yang's spot in today's interviews. It wasn't rare for Yang Corps to have their president do personal interviews. It often happens when the positions of the interns are essential for the company's development. Yang Tian-Xu would personally attend. Nevertheless, today he couldn't make it, he was currently busy having a meal with Tong Yue-Yan.

The three hiring manager nodded their heads, and the hiring manager on the right side speak up. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, please take a seat."

She sat down and looked at them with a smile on her face. The first person to ask the question regarding her credentials was the manager on the right. He did most of the talking. Of course, w.a.n.g Yi-An has credentials. She had taken an Art program for two years, as well as some managing courses.

She hopes to become an Art Director, the position she wanted to obtain in the future within Yang Corps is a very high paying job. As part of the Marketing and Advertis.e.m.e.nt department, there are plenty of hours.

As the Art Director, they are an essential role in development for promotions, commercials, and Yang Corps Events. The entire interview went well, and w.a.n.g Yi-An was confident in her arts because she had already submitted them to her portfolio, it was the reason why they selected her for the interview.

Even though they knew all, they needed to know about her, and her abilities they still need to ask her some questions such as, "Why have you picked Yang Corps for your interns.h.i.+p? There were many options as well."

"Yang Corps has the best benefits." She replied honestly.

"You know Pan Holding's Inc has good benefits too," said the manager on the left. w.a.n.g Yi-An didn't think before she said, "But I like Yang Corps better."

They smiled, and a.s.sistant Tseng asked, "Why do you like Yang Corps better?"

"Because Yang Corps cared deeply for their employees." This fact was that Yang Corps featured in an Employer of the year magazine. They were highlighted, and are the top 10 companies with employees in City Y, and sure enough at the top of the list was Yang Corps.

All the employees are proud to be part of Yang Corps compared to the other nine companies. Pan Holding Incorporated was placed in 5th place, although they have a higher paying salary than Yang Corps, and the other companies, their treatment for employees are not as good and fair.

Pan Holding Incorporated is a company of compet.i.tion among each other. Where if your monthly report isn't as good, you are likely to be fired. If you make more money for the company, you would have better treatment, and you would get more bonus and earnings. Although, there would be a fair amount of people who are compet.i.tive, and preferred that. w.a.n.g Yi-An is not a compet.i.tive person.

She honestly told them, "Pan Holding Inc is a bit too compet.i.tive for me, I don't think I can fit in with them, but I am sure that Yang Corps would be the better choice for me."

The three of them agreed with her a.n.a.lysis. After they heard her reasons for why she picked Yang Corps over the other companies, they asked her one last question. "Why should we pick you, overall the other students that have applied today?"

"Because I have a talent that is unique and rare."

"What talent would that be?" a.s.sistant Tseng was curious. He looked at the copies of her portfolio and didn't notice anything much.

"I have a photographic memory." She said, "and also I can draw at an immersive fast.

Tseng Kuan-Yin was amazed, how could anyone claim to have two talents that seem to be so rare. "Really?" he seems to be a disbeliever as he asked her. "Can you prove it?"

"Of course I can." She said as she smiled brightly.

Because of her confident, a.s.sistant Tseng decided to test her. "Okay, I will show you two photos," and he did. "Now tell me the details in photo one and two." He places the two photos backwards down, hiding them from view. The other two managers thought that he didn't show her the photos long enough. "Wasn't that a bit fast?" said the manager on the left, she didn't like how he would treat her like that.

"Hey, she said she has a photographic memory."

"Maybe she meant she had a good memory." They wanted to give the girl a more reasonable chance, showing her two pictures in less than a minute seems to be cruel. "You should show her them again,"

a.s.sistant Tseng had exchanged messages with President Yang at 2:45 PM. He looked at w.a.n.g Yi-An and said, "Okay, since she is young I might as well..."

"There's no need." She said as she interrupted him, and then she told them, "Instead of going over the details in speech, would you like me to redraw it out?"

The three managers looked at each other and thought to themselves. "She can do that, is that even possible?" they watch as she took out her sketchbook from her mini-backpack. She started to draw them out, and sure enough, it took her 15 minutes to draw out two pictures.

All three of them were amazed at how fast she could sketch out the two images. As soon as she completed them, she walked over and placed them both on the table. a.s.sistant Tseng flipped over the two pictures he had shown her and started to compare w.a.n.g Yi-An's rough sketch to the two originals.

They were surprised, they looked very identical, the pictures detailed and the colours all matched the originals. "Wow, you sure are amazingly talented Miss w.a.n.g."

"Thank you!" she kept her smile at them, and put her sketchbook away in her small backpack, along with her colours markers and supplies she had used.

"Well, with a talent like that I wanted to hire you already!" a.s.sistant Tseng still couldn't believe his eyes. The two drawings and the two originals look so much alike when you compared them side by side. "Well then, can you start work next week?"

"Already? I thought that the interns.h.i.+p starts in two weeks from now?" w.a.n.g Yi-An was surprised with the impulses.

a.s.sistant Tseng laughed, "Oh, right. I almost forgot that." he has forgotten that he was in such a hurry, w.a.n.g Yi-An's talents amazed him so much that he had forgotten that this interview was an interview for the interns.h.i.+p. "Then you can start your interns.h.i.+p in two weeks; you may go home and wait for your acceptance letter by email." a.s.sistant Tseng's decision had surprised the other two managers. They haven't even finished the interview yet, and he had already decided on w.a.n.g Yi-An. Of course, they wouldn't show their disapproval in front of him. w.a.n.g Yi-An was glad and quickly lowered her head down for a slight bow. "Thank you!" She got up, and she left the room.

"Mr Tseng isn't it too soon? We haven't finished interviewing all the other students yet."

"Would it be necessary to wait on someone as talented as her? Her photographic memory is a rare talent! Don't worry about President Yang. I will inform him about my decision." a.s.sistant Tseng had made his intention to hire w.a.n.g Yi-An clear; the other two wouldn't question him anymore. a.s.sistant Tseng position in the company is almost like he is a vice-president. Even their current Vice-President, Ma Wei wouldn't have as much authority as a.s.sistant Tseng, who worked directly for President Yang.

Soon enough, a.s.sistant Tseng quickly sent a message to his boss, Yang Tian-Xu. He had to tell President Yang the excellent news that he had just met a girl with a photographic memory!

"Boss, you would be so surprised about this student, I recently interviewed. This student has a photographic memory! I already informed the student to start the interns.h.i.+p in two weeks."
