Lu AnLing had been holding onto Kang Jun's hand, unwilling to let go and, even when they had arrived at the restaurant, she was reluctant but she knew that she would be able to touch him more whenever she wanted.
Kang Jun would never mind.
Those were the perks of being married.
Calmly, the man got out of the car first and walked over to the pa.s.senger side door. He opened it and then held it open for Lu AnLing.
Kang Jun's hand hovered at a perfect height for Lu AnLing to grab hold of it. Seeing this gesture, Lu AnLing was immediately touched, so she took his hand without refrain and, in a matter of seconds, she was whisked out of the car, gracefully.
Closing the car door behind them, Kang Jun pulled Lu AnLing close to his side.
The couple walked inside Rainbow Valley slowly and closely.
Once again, the delicious smell of seafood made its way to their noses but Lu AnLing was more interested in Kang Jun's sweet scent. She breathed it in and felt herself swoon.
The girl was completely distracted by her intoxicating happiness that she didn't notice Kang Jun staring down at her tenderly as they walked inside.
From afar, the man who had welcomed the couple the last time they had come, watched their public display of affection and he couldn't help but blush.
The two had no shame and flaunted their pink coloured aura. He had never seen a happier couple. To the man, the two put all other couples to shame.
Once Lu AnLing and Kang Jun reached him, the man gave a smile.
"Welcome Mr. Kang, Madame Kang." The man said with a soft smile, "let me lead you to your table."
Hearing the words 'Madame Kang' come out of a strangers mouth caused Lu AnLing to blush.
Seeing the way Lu AnLing reddened, the man couldn't help but do the same. Though he wasn't sure why she was blus.h.i.+ng and even if she were to explain it to him, the man would have been completely dumbfounded.
From the moment he had first met them, the man couldn't help but believe that they were married. The two just seemed too close and comfortable with each other to be anything else.
Watching his wife blush, at such a simple thing, made Kang Jun smirk. He leaned forward, so close that his breath tickled Lu AnLing's ear, and whispered,
"Let go 'Madame Kang'"
Hearing the way his voice s.e.xily accentuated the words 'Madame Kang' made Lu AnLing s.h.i.+ver. Embarra.s.sed, Lu AnLing turned to look at Kang Jun's face. Seeing his amus.e.m.e.nt made Lu AnLing pout.
He was teasing her.
Quickly, Kang Jun noticed the girls annoyance so, to rectify his wrongdoings, Kang Jun leaned down and gave her a light kiss on the lips.
Lu AnLing blushed even more and furrowed her eyebrows. Her eyes communicating with the man. They said, 'You're so mean!'
Seeing this, Kang Jun smiled and gave his most innocent expression.
Watching the couple, the man watching them began to frown. The couple was so cute he didn't know whether to laugh or cry... but at the moment, he just wanted to lead them to their table so he could leave them be.
Thankfully, moments later, he was able to do just that.
The man led them to a corner where it seemed like the two were further away from the rest of the people in the room.
He then handed them their menus before he left.
Alone at the table, the two people looked at their menus.
"Get anything you want," Kang Jun said seriously.
Lu AnLing nodded.
When the waiter came they both ordered a bunch of food and when the food came it was dazzling and glistening. It looked like something straight out of a food magazine.
Because they had to leave early last time, Lu AnLing hadn't gotten to appreciate how aesthetically pleasing the food here looked. It was almost a shame that she had to eat it.
Without any more waiting, Kang Jun took a jumbo shrimp and then he began to remove the sh.e.l.l. Once he was done he placed it in a plate and then he handed it to Lu AnLing.
The girl was touched by the gesture and she ate her shrimp happily.
Seeing that his plate was empty she did the same for him.
"You should eat, don't think I don't notice how you barely eat at home." Lu AnLing scolded the man. "You should eat and sleep more. I don't want your body to become weak as time goes on."
Kang Jun nodded. "That's true, if I let that happen I won't have the strength to have s.e.x with you."
A crimson Lu AnLing reached over the table and slapped Kang Jun on then arm. "How can you say that sort of thing in public!"
To her reaction, Kang Jun held back a laugh but he watched her lovingly.
"How was your day today?" Kang Jun asked.
Lu AnLing leaned back into the chair. She was still fuming because of what he had said before but she still took the time to think over the events of the day. "I would say it went very well, the contract signing was really good."
Kang Jun: "What did you think about the contract, is it to your liking?"
Hearing his words, Lu AnLing smiled and gave Kang Jun a look, "So you're the one who did that?"
Kang Jun gave her an innocent look. "Did what? I just told Mo Yichen to treat you more than fairly. After all, you're doing this because of your friend. Why should you be given the same contract as others."
With that said, Lu AnLing laughed. "You know Mr. Kang, you treat me way too well. What if I take advantage of you?"
Sheng: "You're my wife. You're the first thing on my mind. If I can't treat you well, who will I treat well? And I trust you. You'll never take advantage of me, and even if you do, I don't mind."
Lu AnLing laughed girlishly. "That's true. I guess you're right."
Kang Jun smiled as he watched the girl laugh. He was happy though the information he had learned many days ago still poisoned his mind. He knew he had to tell her but he wasn't sure how he was going to inform her of it so he was waiting to retrieve the DNA tests so he could have, at least, an inkling of physical proof. Though the DNA tests were not only the one done between her children and Kang Zhi but also the ones he had done between her, Kang Mingyu and Kang Mei Xue and the one between himself and the two children.
Kang Jun had seen the tapes. It was already somewhat clear that Kang Zhi was the father but for some reason, he felt as if he would only accept it with 100 percent certainty if the DNA tests he had conducted himself confirmed it.
If only Kang Zhi was alive then he could ask the man about it or at least asked the man to cooperate with him in the investigation but that was impossible.
Thinking about this, Kang Jun suddenly remembered something else.
"AnLing, I'm afraid my parents haven't given up on looking for a wife for me."
Lu AnLing frowned and then she leaned on the table. "Okay... how will we deal with this?"
Hearing the proactive way she said this, Kang Jun couldn't help but smirk. "Do you have any ideas?"
Lu AnLing smirked and touched her lips seductively. "Maybe."
