"Eh? Sis, why are you here?"

Satsuki was shocked when he saw his sister suddenly appeared in front of his room. He quickly hid his phone under the blanket. He had just finished speaking to his Brother Ren.

"An a.s.shole send me a false alarm, saying you were in trouble." Tsubaki was still angry with what Kitaoji Masaru had tried to force on her.

"Woo... sis! It's rare for you to swear!"

Tsubaki shrugged nonchalantly. She didn't have any decent word to be used in order to describe the grandson of Chairman Kitaoji. She pulled a chair beside the bed and sat down.

"How are you feeling today?" Tsubaki raised up her right hand and placed the back of her hand on Satsuki's forehead, checking his temperature.

"Great! Better than yesterday." Satsuki flashed his brightest smile.

Tsubaki was quick to catch on her brother's overly excited face. She raised her eyebrows, throwing a questioning look. "Are you hiding something from me?"

"Ha ha... no... I'm just feeling great today." Satsuki laughed awkwardly. He knew he shouldn't hide it from his sister but it would be better if she heard it from the authorised person.

"Okay. I won't ask anymore." Tsubaki decided to just drop the subject off after seeing her brother's hesitancy to share it with here.

"So... why did you come?" Satsuki peered at Tsubaki's annoyed face. "You seemed p.i.s.sed over someone."

Tsubaki sighed. "Do you remember when I told you about the new raise in our rents?"

"Yes." Satsuki nodded. "You said you wanted to meet Chairman Kitaoji today. So, why are you here?"

"That foolish grandson of his bribed a nurse to get me to come here," said Tsubaki truthfully. She began telling Satsuki everything from the beginning. She thought it would best if she didn't hide this matter from her brother.

"What?" Satsuki looked perplexed after Tsubaki finished telling him the entire story. "So, he wanted to use my condition to force you into marrying him?"

If a certain someone knew about this, Kitaoji Masaru would be a dead meat.

"Let's stop talking about him. Your jug is empty. I'll fill it." Tsubaki stood up and took an empty water jug from the bedside table.

"Wait, sis! What if he was still outside?"

"Why are you so fixated on him?" Tsubaki laughed. "Don't spoil your mood over someone like him. This is a public place with CCTVs. He wouldn't dare to hara.s.s me openly."

Ignoring Satsuki's call, Tsubaki walked out of the room. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Mr. Kitaoji had vanished from the floor. She went to a water dispenser near the nurse station.

"Excuse me."

Tsubaki turned her head slightly to the sound of a man's voice. A man in a doctor's coat was standing a few feet away from her. Glancing at the embroidered name on the coat, she opened her mouth.

"Dr. Moris.h.i.+ta? May I help you?"

Moris.h.i.+ta Tos.h.i.+ro smiled when he heard the gentle voice of his friend's love. From her amiable demeanor and her delicate beauty, he could see how the ice block friend of his could fall for a girl like Hanada Tsubaki.

"You're Hanada Satsuki's guardian? The patient in Room 504?"

"Yes. I'm his sister. Do you have something about my brother?"

Tsubaki had never interacted with this doctor. But after seeing the t.i.tle embroidered on his coat, she made a rough guess. As a chief of the Nephrology department, Dr. Moris.h.i.+ta greeting her might be due to Satsuki.

"Yes. I have something to tell you." Tos.h.i.+ro nodded, his jokester aura disappeared. "Could you please come to my office?"

"Alright. I need to return to my brother's ward first. He might be thirsty." Tsubaki showed the jug in her hands.

"I'll be waiting in my office then. The nurse would bring you there." Tos.h.i.+ro nodded his head in the direction of the nurse station. The two nurses sat behind the counter just smiled hearing his remark.

After Dr. Moris.h.i.+ta left, Tsubaki quickly went inside Satsuki's room. She poured him a cup of water and placed it between his hands. "I'm going to see Dr. Moris.h.i.+ta. Apparently he's the department chief. He wants to talk about you."

"Yes. I've heard of him before." Satsuki gulped the water down.

He had already knew who Dr. Moris.h.i.+ta was. Brother Ren brought the doctor to his ward and introduced him as his friend. They had almost succeeding in finding a donour for him.

"I'll be back. Rest well."

Tsubaki left to head to Dr. Moris.h.i.+ta's office. A nurse with a kind face led her there. He was already waiting for her. He asked her to sit down before bringing out a doc.u.ment from a shelf behind the desk.

"I have a very important news for Hanada Satsuki."

"What's wrong, doctor? Does his illness... deteriorate?" Tsubaki's face turned pale.

Dr. Moris.h.i.+ta smiled and shook his head. "He'd be healthy. We already found him a donour."

"What?" Her eyes widened in disbelief.
