As vivid as it felt, Bin thought it was too anomalous, perhaps even scary. It was a dream but unlike any other, different it was and different it felt. He could feel his rapidly beating heart, the chilling breeze that brushed off his blood-soaked body, and that countless bodies that surrounded him.

One would call it a nightmare but it just felt too 'stimulating', at least that's what Bin thought. It lasted for a brief second but it was engraved deeply into his mind, never to be forgotten any time soon.

When he finally opened his eyes, he found himself laying in a hospital bed and wrapped in bandages around all his limbs and chest. At first, he had difficulties moving but the momentary exhaustion vanished a few seconds later, replaced by a cool and refres.h.i.+ng energy that spread all over his body and gave him the strength to sit up.

He quickly recognized this place and guessed the reason he was here. He remembered feeling tired and being supported by Aldren and getting in the sports car.

Bin spent a minute or so to stretch his limbs then got up from the bed and walked to the laboratory right next to this ER. As he expected, Ann was there, in a deep slumber and visibly tired. She was laying on the sofa and covered with a thin blanket.

The female doctor expected him to wake up before her so she wrote down a short letter to inform him about what happened. After gazing at her for some time while pondering about a few things, Bin picked the letter and left the clinic.

Fortunately, it was really early in the morning so he didn't sleep for several days like last time. This means he does not need to explain himself to Jasmine, who might nag him about his absence, as usual.

Bin wasn't too bothered about what happened at the party, actually, what interested him more was the 'dream' he experienced earlier. It brought s.h.i.+vers down his spine and made him feel a bit uncomfortable.

Though he tried brus.h.i.+ng it off as a terrifying nightmare, the images were so deeply engraved in his mind to the point that he couldn't erase them or forcefully forget about them.

Since there was no one to give him a ride, Bin had to walk all the way to the manor, which was surprisingly not exhausting.

'Whatever she did, it definitely worked!'

Not only did he feel refreshed, he felt strangely alright despite absorbing a lot of Mana yesterday. Knowing her character and her stubbornness about his Drug injections, she definitely didn't use the Buster Drug, which can only mean she found another alternative.

After being welcomed by a guard that was standing near the entrance of the manor, Bin made his way to the guest room Mina was staying in while trying to not make any sound as to not wake up the sleeping residents.

The little girl, Mina, was peacefully sleeping in the king-sized bed while hugging a large pillow. A table filled with all kinds of sweets was next to the bed, however, half of the plates were empty, indicating that his sister gobbled them up.

He sat next to her and gently caressed her head while foolishly smiling, happy to see his sister enjoy life. The past few days were like bliss for the little girl as she was personally taken care of by the Madam and was lucky enough to eat all kinds of heavenly delicacies any poor person would dream of.

'Jasmine's mother seems attracted to Mina, I should make use of this and deepen their relations.h.i.+p. Perhaps she'll be willing to be her legal guardian after I'm gone… at least until she reaches 18.'

After gazing at his sister for some time, Bin walked up to the desk and opened the letter Ann left him. He didn't have anything particular to do and it just so happened that it was the perfect time to read it.

He could have read it on the road but he was afraid that the content of the letter may shock him so he saved it for now.

'First of all, you have to stop coming all bloodied or sick all the time. Though I agreed to help you, that doesn't mean you should always arrive in your worse state, I'm not your personal doctor. Furthermore, you SHOULD listen to me, after all, I'm not charging any money!

Tl dr; I've operated on you and successfully implanted a few devices in your body which will significantly decrease your body's rate of absorption. It should last for a while but you still need to avoid any places that have high concentration of Mana as they'll cause the implanted devices to slowly defect. I've still not found a permanent cure but I believe your situation can be fixed, I just need a bit more time. So, try to hold on and not kill yourself.

PS: Don't ever, ever, ever, EVER, take the Buster Drug again, it's very harmful to your body despite its temporary yet beneficial proprieties.'

Reading this, Bin chuckled as he could feel Ann's anger just from her deformed and almost incomprehensible writing.

'They didn't lie when they said that doctors' writing is unreadable.'

It took him several tries to decipher this letter, which was filled with gibberish-looking sentences. When he was done with the letter, Bin put it in the lowest drawer of the desk and left the room.

Although it was still too early in the morning, some servants were already up. The head chef was also energetic and busy preparing a luxurious lunch for the family.

Usually, the Madam and her husband wake up quite early as they're busy with their work and projects. Only Jasmine wakes up at random times, a typical thing for girls at her age.

Unfortunately, today is the beginning of the semester so she'll have to wake up early and go to the academy. Knowing her rotten character, Bin was certain that she'll force him to go with her but it shouldn't be too dangerous if he avoids crowded areas.

As long as he follows her to the academy and waits around its vicinities, it should be alright.

The only issue weighing down his mind was the money. It's not like he's unhappy with his current wage, however, it isn't nearly enough for Mina. Sure, if he works for Jasmine for several months, he'll ama.s.s quite the fortune but he's a dying man!

He'll be lucky if he lasts more than two months so he needs an alternative way to make money. Melissa's offer was quite alluring but Bin just couldn't bring himself to like her, she was like a snake, or as Bin would inwardly call her; 'A double-faced b.i.t.c.h'
