Once again the training field Ned headed to was enchanted. He could feel it the moment he stepped in.

Meaning n.o.body would be able to see them, considering there were no stronger people than the old man. So he could train while feeling relaxed.

The old man himself was thinking the same.

Once Ned came close to him he started talking.

"You previously used some sort of magic when we fought, you had used it to increase your weight right?" he said to Ned.

Nodding to him, "Yes it is called gravity magic, and i have created that spell. It helped me in training."

"Well, you would be using it to train once again. but only after you master the basics." Alaster said while pa.s.sing Ned a blunt iron sword.

Ned held it and found out that it was many times heavier than he expected, but still manageable to hold due to his increased rank recently.

"I have devised a schedule for you. Since you are basically just swinging your sword around, then you would need to master the basics of the sword. Normally we would start with you trying to find your balance, but you already are good at it, which leaves the footwork, and I will train you in that in the afternoon, by actual fighting which is the fastest way" The old man said, as he started doing some exercises. "Now until lunch time this is all you'll be doing." The old man added and left once he saw Ned nod.

And although Ned knew these were all basics, he didn't care and started doing sets. 1000 chops from each side, 1000 thrusts…

Until he was sweating hard and exhausted. He had spent the whole morning and he knew that he was lacking a foundation, but vowed to master the basics.

He went to take a quick bath in his room, before joining them for lunch. Food was necessary for training.

After eating, it was time for training his footwork as the old man said. And although his muscles was sore all it took was one muscle potion, and he was ready.

Once again in the training field, he stood opposite the old man, and held his training sword.

"We would be fighting using just the basic moves you have trained this morning. And no need to ask, when you start you'll understand." The old man said, and added the last part in a hurry. For Ned had wondered how is he going to learn the footwork like this.

Giving a nod, and even though he knew the old man can kick his a.s.s anytime, he still used the basic stances and moves to attack.

The old man himself was using the basic moves to guard and counterattack. And along the fight Ned understood.

By positioning yourself in a fighting stance, you are ready to, dodge, thrust, swing, and this was how to master the footwork.

He saw how the old man's footwork was smooth, and he knew that one day if he kept training like this he will even surpa.s.s him.

Sometime in the middle of the fight, Lori had come to watch, and brought them some refreshments.

"Let's take a break then young Ned" The old man said as headed to sit next to Lori followed by Ned on a table in the field.

"Thank you Lori" Ned said with a smile, as he grabbed the gla.s.s of juice Lori had poured for him and then he took some biscuits she baked to munch on them.

"I just remembered something I had wanted to ask" Once he said so he noticed even the old man was paying attention.

"For the n.o.ble girls, do they have to marry with their fathers arrangements or are they free to choose their lovers?" and the old man laughed at that.

"Well aside from some n.o.ble houses extremists, the rest are all free to choose themselves. They can even have relations.h.i.+ps before they marry. It is not a requirement to be pure" The old man said with a small laugh, while Lori got a bit embarra.s.sed with her cheeks red.

Ned gave a nod, he had thought that n.o.bles would force their daughters to marry for political reasons.

He guessed he was wrong.

"Well at the least the humans are civilized enough to allow freedom for the girls." Ned said, and it earned him a sweet smile from Lori and an approving nod from Alaster.

"well then let's get back to training." The old man said.

And then he trained the same for the rest of the day.

But Ned's training was not enough for him, he still needed to train his movement technique, and his various types of magic.

But such things can be left for the s.p.a.ce, as it would both keep his secrets, and heal him for the next morning training.

But he still talked with Lori once they were done and enjoyed the stories told and jokes they shared. He had said that he will leave some time of the day for her after all, he wasn't about to go back on his words.

Once done enjoying his time with Lori and eating dinner with her and the old man, he was ready to enter the s.p.a.ce.

Once inside his room, he simply vanished, only to appeared at the s.p.a.ce. Ready to start his training.
