New Life Online 221 Dragoons' Charge

Briam and Chara's aura's started to fade away. We're not in a good situation now. Every time I charge, I was being blocked by both Siegriel and Maisie. They won't even let me use my fire booster to get away. And now, the Order of Light started to rush towards the Dragoons City. They are aiming to destroy it as little time as possible.

*CLANG* d.a.m.n it! I can't get past from these annoying siblings!

"LIGHT BLADE DANCE!" Wait! Is that Zia?!

*BAAAAAM! BABABAAAAM!* I blocked the blades that are aiming for me.

"So you show..."

*BAAAAAAAAM!* I can't even talk! Maisie unleashed a powerful slash wave towards me. I almost got hit but I was able to dodge.

"Hey! I'm talking!" Then another batch of slash waves is coming towards my direction!

"FIRE BOOSTER!" I jump up high. They can't...

"BRIGHT EDGE'S LIGHT BLADE!" Zia used her weapons soul and flew up to attack me!

*CLANG* I tried to block her attack but it was too powerful that I was pushed back and fell to the ground. d.a.m.n it! I can't catch a break! This is a mismatch, three against one!

Both Siegriel and Maisie tried to charge at me but...

"REAPER'S WRATH!" We don't have enough time to play around. I have to help the city or it'll fall down from the hands of the light nerds, except my sister, of course.

"REAPER'S ETHEREAL BLADE!" I rushed towards Zia and she's preparing to attack me too.

"BRIGHT EDGE'S BLADE DANCE!" She multiplied! She really likes to copy moves from Leion.

I stopped my attack but instead, I charged my mana to my hand. Both Maisie and Siegriel can't stop me now. They tried to attack me with their long-range attacks but they're not fast enough reached me.

"FEEL THE HEAT OF THE INFERNO!" How about this you jerks!

"Are you serious right now?!" Zia exclaimed. It's too risky to charge at her with all those clones so instead...

"MIGHTY FIERY FIST OF THE REAPER!" My hand was covered in flame but I've felt that she's trying to run away from me and they scattered! I used my fire booster and then I was able to chase the one who has the strongest aura. You can multiply but you can't hide your real self's aura if you scatter.

"Wait a minute! BRIGHT EDGE'S FURIOUS BLADE TEMPEST!" She knew I figured where she is and she's stopped running and instead, she is now trying to stop my attack with a powerful spell but that's not fast enough!

Her attack didn't reach me because my spell covered her with flame and that flame hit the ground with her and made a devastating explosion.

*BOOOOOOOOOM!* A ma.s.sive explosion happened and both Maisie and Siegriel from nearby was caught by my attack. I'm pretty sure they're not dead yet but it will buy me some time. That's what you get when you messed with the Reaper!

I saw Aurora after. She tried to also stop my attack but she was too far. I bet she's mad right now but it's their choice to join the war, not mine.

She rushed to check on her sister so I took advantage of that and rushed towards the city. It's too risky to use one powerful attack because that old man might just throw it back to us.

I reached the city and there's too much chaos here.

"Scy! You're back! We saw what happened to Jay's guild and they're... wiped out. What's the plan now?!" Drake showed up and then asked me what to do. He's really not doing so well. He's really worried.

"Relax. We still have time. I think Lili can still hold on for a bit. We need to plan a counter attack. Aurora is here and I'm sure she's not on our side. What's the situation with the Ravens and the Hearth Fires?" I asked.

"Both guilds are almost out of force. The leaders of both guilds and some of their remaining forces are fighting with your other guild members. Our main problem right now is the spellcasters of Storm Seeker and Order of Light. Our spells won't work against them too because of their powerful barriers! Our chance left is to stop the spellcasters." That's impossible for now. Not to mention both Azzie and Mari are together and that would be a tough one. They also have Vortz and he's one of the most powerful spellcasters who can unleash a h.e.l.l of a spell in one go.

"It's not the best time to hide in the city and prevent losses. If we want to win, then we have to charge ahead. They might have good spell casters but their front lines are already almost wiped out. They don't have someone to protect them anymore and only those barriers are going to stop our frontal charge. We need to divert their attention by sacrificing some or, in the worst case scenario, all of your cavalry." I suggested.

"That's... that's insane! I can't just send them to die! We're not even sure if you can really stop their spellcasters!" Drake replied.

"We are fighting not for our lives or levels but it's for your city. Also, we are fighting the strongest guild so do you think we can stop them by staying here? We have to risk something. Trust me. I'm still the second strongest player of New Life Online. I will stop them even if I have to kill every single one of them!" I showed him that I'm serious.

"If we are going to surrender now, then they might stop! You are asking too much from us! This is not our fight! Your comrades even left you!"

"d.a.m.n it, Drake! This is not the time to cower! Do you think that if you surrender, they will stop the attack? No, because you already joined us in the first place. Let's do this and let's win against them. Let's show them that your guild ranking is nothing to do with your guild's strength!" This is one of the rarest times. I somehow started to feel emotional.

"Fine. If the barriers break, then we will still all die so I guess it's better to die to fight! I will see you later on. Dragoons! Ready your mounts! WE WILL TRAMPLE THEM TO DEATH!" Drake and his army are now getting ready.

"Akko and I will sneak towards their spell casters and do our thing. Try not to get killed out there, Drake." They moved in front of the gate.

"Let me join you guys. I really want to drown some Storm Seekers." It's Sh.e.l.la. Is it just me or she looks at me like she wants to drown me too?

"Sure, just don't drown me too..."

She nodded and so we started moving.

-Dragoons East Gate-

After that, they opened the gate and are now preparing to attack. On the other hand, we used the East gate to move and get out of their sight. While the Dragoons are charging, we will move fast enough to stop the Storm Seekers from the side and then after that, we will take out the supports and spellcasters of Order of Light. We need to win this!

The Dragoons finally started their attack and are now charging towards the Order of Light and Storm Seekers. They're using another formation! They are slower this time but there's weird about it. As I look closely, the Dragoons in front are using s.h.i.+elds and those in the back are using longer lances and spears! They have both the offense and the defense but it's not enough to stop the attack from spells from above! Still, it's enough to prolong their army's life force.

Half of the front line of the Order of Light moved to defend the Storm Seekers. That's one dumb move. With your defenders' numbers, there's no way you can protect all and you made it worse by trying to distribute them.

We are moving slower this time because they might figure out our plan. We're still far but we can make it on time and it's still not the right time.

*BAAAAAAAAAM! BABABAAAAAM!* A barrage of spells from spellcasters of both Storm Seekers and Order of light made huge explosions from the path and army of the Dragoons. I'm betting that a lot of them died from that.

*BAAAAAAAM! BABABAAAAAAM!* They once again launched another spell barrage but the charge of the Dragoons didn't stop.

a.s.sa.s.sins from Serpentes showed up but they are not trying to stop the charge because that would be suicide. The Dragoons are still going to try to reach their targets! I admire your perseverance.

*BAAAAAAAAAAAM!* They finally reached the defenders and in just one b.u.mp to the defenders, they already killed hundreds of them. Their spears are so long and sharp that it just pierced through their opponent's armors so easily! They are good when it comes to group attacks but they will have troubles when it comes to one on one attacks. Spellcasters and supports from behind stopped their spells because of friendly fire. They can't use their spells anymore!

"It's time to move. Let's..."

*SWOOOOOOOOs.h.!.+ SWOSWOSWOOOOs.h.!.+* I heard daggers from afar and it was so fast but I was able to block it. Wait?! a.s.sa.s.sins!

"It's been a while Scy. I can't let you guys get past here." I heard a familiar voice. s.h.i.+v?! Why is he here?!

"Nice to see you too. You really need to change how you greet people. You're not part of this war. Why are you even here?"

"Not part? Haha. Well, maybe not yet but we can't let you help the Dragoons. We all know what will happen if you don't show up to do what you have to do." Thank G.o.d! Finally, someone who's uglier than me showed up!
