"We're supposed to have three new recruits in our team but there are only two of you. Where's the other one?"Leion asked them. I can hear what's going on with Team Elou.

"Oh, h.e.l.lo! I think I'm supposed to be here." A guy said while going to their group.

*BAAAAM!* Leion smacked him in the head...

"Why are you so late?!" Since when did Leion become so bossy? With his height...

"Aw! Don't hit my head, it's my a.s.set." The guy replied. I think his name is Ave.

"Don't talk ba..." He's about to hit him again...

"Hey guys, are you ok there?" Scythus came.

"Of course Scy, we were just having fun! Haha," Leion replied. No, you're not...

"Hey, Miss Zia. Let's start shall we?" Oh... I was too distracted by the other groups. I think her name is Ch.e.l.ly. Just where did she get her name?

"Oh, ok so let me start. I'm Zia, I started playing the game more than a week I guess and..."

"Just wait a minute... are you sure you're playing the game just more than a week? Then how did you become so strong?" She asked.

"Well, to be honest, I also don't know but we had training for a week with all of us. I can't tell you yet what kind of training but it was h.e.l.l..." I think they don't believe me but as if there's anything I can do.

"Ok, so I think that's it for me. How about you?"

"Oh, I'm Ch.e.l.ly and I use Warhammer and some elemental spells. I also craft and use synthesis but it's still low level."

"I'm Uri and I use support spells and as well as summoning spells." Oh, she's the girl who threw the book.

"Pike's my name but you can call me Pie. I am also the one who organized the players who joined the recruit test. I am a defender so you can count on me." For a defender, he sure seems wearing light armor.

"Ok, I think that's it for the introductions... The other teams are already done so let's wait for a bit for further announcements." I'm not really good at talking or making friends but this will do for now.

After all that Elou is ready to announce something again.

"I know that you heard about the raid happened near the Vanguards Stronghold. We are close to their guild so this isn't really going to be an easy day. Your first mission is to investigate what really happened. If we gather good information then it might help us prepare for it."

"Aren't we just too many to do that at the same time?" Pie asked.

"Well, there are more ways to gather information like going to Vanguard's Inn or checking where the raiders headed and other stuff. It's your decision if you want to go or not but it's really important because Scy suspected that this might be part of the invasion." Elou insisted. That's reasonable.

"Ok, so if there are no more questions, let's go now," I suggested.

They don't look happy that much maybe because they were expecting a little bit more adventurous mission for their first day of being a new recruit. We started to move out. Jeez, I'm really shy to even start a conversation with them. This will be a boring mission.

"Hey Miss Zia, I was just wondering. What is your total level now?" Ch.e.l.ly asked.

"What total level? I haven't checked anything yet." I don't really understand what she was asking.

"Seriously? It was your overall power, just tap your head and it will show up."

"Ok, I will try it out." I started tapping my head and something popped out!

"It says here I'm level 150 is that high enough?" I asked curiously.

"No, it's not enough. Most of us here is level 200 and up. Just how did you almost defeated that guy earlier?" I hope they won't disrespect me knowing that I'm low level...

"I really don't know. I just did what I could. We're almost there."

"Ok, it's alright, If you don't want to tell us your real level." But I was telling the truth...

-Cold s.h.i.+eld Village-

We reached the village and the village name is "Cold s.h.i.+eld Village". I've heard that this village was created not long ago. Well, their s.h.i.+elds didn't protect them from the raid. Other teams are also here trying to ask some of the people of the village. I remember that we have an observant in the group.

"Hey Pie, what do you think of what happened here?"

"Well, we can see that buildings were not destroyed and even their livestock was not stolen either, that means the raiders' purpose was to only kill the villagers. For some reason, the footprints don't resemble any monsters I've encountered so far either." Wow, that's a lot of info. I think I have dependable members.

"Hmmm. Thanks. Let's ask some of the villagers here." I suggested.

We found their inn in the middle of the village and entered. Some of the members of other groups are also here asking questions.

"Hey Petula, got any good reports here?"

"They said that those monsters most likely look like they're undead. I heard the defenders died so quickly from these monster's attacks that they can't really tell what happened clearly. But this might be a group of different kind of Monster Bosses if you ask me which they don't usually do. A Boss Raid." Well, to be honest, I don't even have clue what she was talking about but I can understand some of it.

"Thanks, Petula. If they're undead, then that means maybe they come here for brains or souls haha." I tried making a joke. Hmmmm? The villagers looked at me with glaring eyes...

"Oh... I'm sorry..." It seems that their experience from the raid is really bad...

"Maybe you're right though, I think they really came here for souls. That is why they only killed people." Oh... This might really be part of the invasion.

"Scy should really know about this. If the invasion happens, there's a big chance that this place will be their first target." I suggested.

"Anyway, we have to be sure first so better check a little bit more."

-Outside the Village-

So we went outside the village because that's mostly the same answer we get from the people. We have to check the surroundings first before reporting back.

We scattered and checked the area but their footprints were already disappeared because of the snow. We continued to check the area but it seems that we can't find any clues here and it's dangerous to look further because of monsters lurking around the area.

"Miss Zia, I found a girl fighting high-level monsters not far from here. Should we go ahead and ask her if she knows something?" Hmmmm. I guess there's no harm in trying.

"Ok let's go. Let's just be careful. Monsters here are strong."

So we headed to the place she told us and we found a girl resting in a place covered in a devastated area. I think it's her doing. This girl must be a high-level player for killing lots of monsters here in this high-level area.

So we get closed and tried to ask her.

"h.e.l.lo Miss, I'm Zia and..." I sensed a great danger!

"Get down!" I shouted and...

*SWOOOOOs.h.!.+* A giant flying slash pa.s.sed right through us! Thank G.o.d I signaled them early and managed to dodge her attack! Just what is she thinking attacking us out of nowhere!

"I think I know her. She's Maisie form the tournament. They said that she's really reckless and really good with using her sword. I think it's better to get back before we all get killed here." Pie's right! Her attack from earlier cut all the trees in half!

"Let's go back now!"

"Look out!" Uri warned me but as I looked at her, it was too late to dodge!
