For many years I observed something very interesting over and over again, at functions and churches when people are meant to ll seats in the room, most often than not people simply opt for the seats at the back or in the middle, or somewhere they will remain unseen or unnoticed. Now if you take time to observe these people, they are the type that will chat in hushed tones with others or crack needless jokes when the speakers are trying to get across to the audience. They play with their phones, talk about the use of language of the speaker but not his or her message. They whisper to others about the bad air conditioning or the terrible sound system. They do every other thing but understand in content and nature the message being pa.s.sed across.
In contrast take a look at the people who occupy the first two rows of seats in front, they always appear serious, attentive and focussed. They certainly do not have the luxury of s.p.a.ce or distracted co-travellers to attend to the mundane. They are closer to the speakers than others and for this reason they have to be well mannered to be counted worthy enough to occupy those seats in the first place, even if they wished they could act in a simple manner like others I described above, they wouldn't regardless. No wonder people prefer every seat in the room except the ones in the front row.
At this point we have to talk about attributes of the occupiers of the seats in the front row. These seats or tables at times carry the "RESERVED" note, or at times the sign VIP (very important personality) or VVIP (very very important personality) might be what you will see, because they are for supposedly distinguished personalities.
These people tend to be well dressed, they o er some sort of value to the organisers of the occasion, they have a certain level of composure and charisma, they have a sellable pro le and ultimately they do not like any other seat but the ones in the front row.
I have taken time to a.s.sess the people who seat in the front row at events and occasions over time, it's a s.p.a.ce reserved for the most respected leaders of nations, chief executives of companies, leading ministers of the gospel, wealthy people who have something to o er as it concerns the occasion at hand, powerful speakers, head coaches of sporting teams, the most achieving professionals, the most brilliant students, in short the best of the crop at hand.

It's not rocket science, there's a standard required of anyone who aspires to occupy the seat, and that's why most people avoid it. You have to submit your life or works to public scrutiny if you wish to be counted worthy enough for a slot there. Mind you, there are occasions and occasions, you will be doing yourself a lot of disservice when you occupy the best tables or seats at places that add no value to your society or to yourself, so please you have to know where you find inspiration.
Now it's time to look at the front row of life since we have talked about the kind of people who occupy the seats in the front row. It is imperative to look at why anyone wouldn't want to sit there despite the beauty it offers. We start with the great question:
Why Do People Avoid the Front Row of Life Despite the Value It Offers?
The answer is people simply avoid the front row of life because they don't want to be confronted with the truth about their situations.
Truth, they say, is very bitter, most people don't like to be told the truth about their lifestyle or general att.i.tude to life so they avoid people who tend to call them to order or lay the truth bare to them regardless of what they will feel or think. So they hide, they prefer to live and operate in obscurity because it's a comfort zone, because it requires less of anyone. They hide behind one finger of conservatism and quietness when in the real sense the problem is they don't want to be subjected to any form of public scrutiny. You have to begin to ask questions of yourself when you begin to show signs of the people described above.
The truth about the people who thrive in obscurity is that they love to blend with the crowd, they o er nothing so it's always convenient to just blend with the crowd when it is more logical to sit in the front row of life, knocking on doors and forcing same open in the same vein.
Never ever be caught in this web, always plan your life well enough to sit in the front row of life, its more dignifying and n.o.ble. You can touch more lives with a mind-set of this kind.
Remember a sinking person can't save another sinking person. You must have more than enough resources before you can touch lives the best way possible and until you aspire daily to occupy the seat in the front row of life, you will only wish to have the resources required to make things happen to no avail.
Every achiever in life did all they could to occupy the front row seat, it is similar to the proverbial saying of dining with kings and queens. They diligently sought and craved for it, they didn't just wish it to happen. They worked and slaved for it.
The truth is everyone wants to be honoured and shown some level of respect in life, but honour and respect do not thrive in obscurity, they love light, and if there's anywhere the light will beam on you as an individual, it's at the front row seats of life.
It is never too late to work on this, all you need to do is find out what the requirements are for you to be so well honoured to be deserving of a front row seat in your chosen career or eld, work for it and make it happen. Adios.
