After Xu Chi returned, his roommate moved close to him and asked, "Do you know Tang Yanzhi?"

"No."

"Then how come he..." his roommate thought for a while and continue to say, "Why you two are so intimate? He even, he even touched your head."

Xu Chi had no idea either. How could he know why Tang Xianzhi did that?

"I really don't know him at all. We never met until just now."

His roommate made a wilder guess.  He said in panic, "Oh My G.o.d! I am afraid he..."

Xu Chi was still thinking about what Tang Yanzhi said just now. Ignoring the surrounding people who were happily gossiping about him, Xu Chi was scolding Tang Yanzhi in his mind, because it was what Tang Yanzhi had done in front of the public that made him became the center of attention. "He what?" he asked.

"I am afraid he has a crush on you."

Xu Chi knocked his roommate on the head, "Stop talking like a lunatic. Don't make me your victim."

"Hey, I'm serious," The roommate said with a smirk, "Look at him yourself! He keeps winking at you since you came back." 

"Cutie Chi, listen to me."

"No. I don't want to hear a word."

Ignoring what Xu Chi said, his roommate went on, "You know what? The world outside is very dangerous. No one will understand you and love you. Instead, they will only give you a stab in the back and hurt you. Although Tang Yanzhi is handsome, you shouldn't be fooled by his sweet words. You are too simple."

After the party, Xu Chi asked his roommate to go first. His roommate suspected, "Why?"

"I am waiting for someone."

"For whom?"

"Tang Yanzhi."

The roommate looked at him with wide eyes, "My words mean nothing to you?"

"What did you say?"

"I told you not to be fooled by Tang Yanzhi's sweet words!"

"Take it easy." Xu Chi said, "Do I look like a fool?"

"Then I won't be fooled."

Xu Chi waited for a long time at the door. As others pa.s.sed him, they looked at him in astonishment or confusion. His breath steamed in the air. Xu Chi zipped up his cotton-padded jacket.

Tired of standing, he leaned against the wall, looked down at the tip of his shoes. The whole thing seemed incredible to him.

Why would he take Tang Yanzhi's words seriously and wait for him in coldness for so long? Maybe he had already forgotten him.

Xu Chi chuckled. He suddenly realized that his roommate had made a point. He was indeed deceived.

"What are you laughing about?"

Another pair of shoes appeared in the sight of Xu Chi.

"Nothing," Xu Chi looked up, and Tang Yanzhi's was so close to him. Xu Chi tried to keep a distance from Tang, but he had nowhere to move, for he was leaning against the wall.

Suddenly, their breath was mixed together. Xu looked at Tang's eyes and said in a lukewarm voice, "What's the matter?"

Most of the party boys and girls had left. Tang stared at Xu and then moved away from him, smiling, "Nothing, just want to have a chat with you."

"But we don't know each other."

"We know each other now."

Xu was quite patient, then he asked, "That's it? I'll go back if there is nothing else."

"Wait." Tang said seriously, "May I have your number?"

Xu was speechless. He asked him to wait for him just to get his phone number? Why didn't he ask directly back in the room?

"...OK."

Xu accepted the friend application from Tang. Looking at Xu's nickname, "Short-Tailed Cat", Tang raised his phone and said, "Sorry. I can't walk you back to your dormitory. I still have something to deal with. Next time we can play Famine together."

Xu replied to him indifferently, "Well, then I'll go first."

"Xu Chi..."

"Anything else?"

Tang said with a smile, "Take care."
