Twenty minutes in advance, they set up the presentation by plugging in the laptop and preparing cups of water for the higher-ups attending. They needed everything to be perfect.
Once they finished setting up, Yoona placed her hands on her hips and looked up to the clock.
There was ten more minutes left to go.
Seeing how there was extra time, she turned to her friends to talk. "Guess what?"
Eunha turned her head. "Yeah?"
"I met Kihyun, the MH foods director on my way to the bathroom."
Eunha widened her eyes, she immediately made her way to Yoona. "You did?! He's so handsome isn't he? His eyes are amazing!"
Yoona nodded and let out a small chuckle. "Well, he definitely is a pretty good looking guy. And I do agree that his eyes are absolutely stunning..."
"They are so angelic-"
"I need help here," Lucas snapped. He was leaning near the podium trying to clean the cables to make the presentation grounds more neat. It wasn't a necessary job but for some reason, his tone made it seem like they were slacking.
A giggle escaped Eunha's lips. She leaned over to Yoona's ear. "I think he's jealous."

"Clearly," Yoona replied. Then she yelled back. "You don't need much help with that! You can do it alone."
There was a moment of silence. "Geez, fine!"
Even Lucas realized he was acting immature, which was very out of character for him. Why did Eunha talking about this guy suddenly irk him?
The jealousy within him was quite funny to see - Yoona was excited to find how the relations.h.i.+p between her friends would unravel.
"But anyways, he was quite flirty? An interesting character for sure but he definitely seem snice," she continued.
Eunha nodded in agreement. "I can see that. I think overall he's just really easy going and likes to tease people. Totally different from those boring strict higher management guys."
Then she leaned in to whisper in Yoona's ear. "He's like a gift from heaven for us. But don't let Lucas know I said that."
Yoona giggled. "Don't worry."
There was a pause. "But if you see him working, it's a total 180. He's really invested in work. That's why he was able to climb up so quickly despite only being in his late twenties," Eunha explained.
"I aspire to be like that one day," Yoona said.
Eunha giggled. "You can probably become co-CEO if you asked Minhyun."
She rolled her eyes. "I would never do that."
"I know… But it's an option," Eunha teased.

The higher-ups began to fill the room soon afterwards.
Managers from different branches and some of the other workers from the food sector walked in and sat down. Finally, Kihyun came in as well and sat right in the middle.
While they were greeting and shaking hands, Yoona got a wink from Kihyun.
"You'll do great," he said. "Don't be nervous."
"I won't!" Yoona replied, though she wasn't too confident in her words. However, his easy-goingness definitely made her feel better about herself. Hopefully, he wouldn't judge her too harshly if she made a mistake.
Once the lights started to dim, that was when her presentation started.
To summarize it all together, after taking a long deep breath, she returned to the professional Yoona that all the students knew from school. She had presented in front of large cla.s.ses before and had talked to people of high status. This shouldn't be anything new.
And she didn't act like it bothered her.
In fact, in the eyes of the audience, all they could see was a pa.s.sionate, beautiful woman proposing a great idea. They were all impressed by the work she had done, from the ideas she had to the research and connections they had rallied for the project.
Once she finished reciting all the content, she moved along to the last slide.
"Any questions?"
Kihyun was the first to raise his hand. There was an excited glint on his face, yet his posture was very posh. From the front, from aura alone, she could see why he was above everyone. The confidence within him was overwhelming.
There was only a few people Yoona had met who rained this air of confidence. One of those men was her boyfriend.
"First off, I think this is a great idea. As a new chef, for him to spread his name, getting him on the television would be a large leap forward to appealing to the public eye. Since he does have talent and the looks, I do not think it would be hard for him to s.h.i.+ne among the rest. But from your presentation, I can see you only have two potential shows that would hire you."
Yoona nodded. "Yes. In regards to that, currently, we talked to the directing staff of all the major cooking shows however, since Lucas is a new chef and we do lack the connections. We weren't able to convince some of the directors."
Kihyun swirled the pen with his fingers. The glint in his eyes changed. He was thinking hard, possibly thinking back to his past contacts and his network.
Then a smile rang on his face. "I know the head director and sponsor of the 'The Fridge is Yours'. I can get him on there as a guest chef and if he does well, he can become a full-time spot on the show. I have also spoken to the CEO of that television cable so this would be a guaranteed guesting."
Yoona widened her eyes. "That would be amazing."
He let out a chuckle. "My pleasure. As long as he does good with his shot, it can open many opportunities. I will get back to you after contacting my network."
The show that he was talking about was the exact same one that Eunha got yelled at for. The fact that they were able to get the spot, without that stinky director's help was satisfying.
And if Lucas became a full-time on the show… That would be a slap to the director's face.
