The old lady peered from the counter. "Alright coming!"
The trio was sitting at a round table. On the surface, different varieties of vegetables and meats were being cooked on the table. Korean barbeque was a perfect pairing with soju.
Yoona pursed her lips. "But we already have a lot of soju..."
She peered at the cl.u.s.ter of empty green bottles at the edge of the table. They already had way too much for three people. Although she was average at drinking, Yoona knew that she wouldn't be able finish another bottle. Her limit was two, and that was if she wanted to get hammered. She wasn't planning on going to her second day of work with a hangover.
"I want to get smashed," Eunha sang. "With all of you of course."
Lucas rolled his eyes. "We have work tomorrow."
Eunha grabbed a soju bottle, b.u.mped it against her elbow, and twisted off the lid. She began to pour the liquid into their shot gla.s.ses. "I work best hungover."
"Lies."
She sent the blonde-haired boy a wink. "Whatever loser. I bet my hungover self will be a better worker than your hungover self."
He played with the shot gla.s.s in his hands, swirling it around. "I'm not stupid enough to accept that challenge of yours."
"Scaredy-cat," she said with her tongue out. "You just know you'd lose."
He snorted. "Nice try again. You won't be able to convince me."
Eunha dismissed Lucas's words and leaned in towards Yoona's ear. "I'm going to win. Don't worry about it," she whispered.
Yoona furrowed her eyes, confused as to why she was toldhearing this information. Nonetheless, she nodded as if she understood. "Okay."
Eunha lifted her gla.s.s and turned towards her two friends. "Shall we cheers now then?"
They both mirrored Eunha. Yoona lifted her gla.s.s enthusiastically while Lucas barely made the effort with an annoyed smile on his face.
"Cheers!"
"Cheers."
They all took a large gulp out of their drinks before banging it against the table. When the bitter taste hit Yoona's tongue, she tried to keep the look of disgust off her face. Despite drinking soju many times, she still couldn't get over the taste.
"By the way," Eunha said with refilling their gla.s.ses. "How was your first day of work? It's quite mundane isn't it?"
Yoona let out a smile. "It was good! I actually enjoyed it a lot. Probably because I was with you too. It's a lot better working here than Bianchi, a lot less physically and mentally demanding. Plus, I don't need to deal with b.i.t.c.hy customers."
Eunha snorted. "Well, instead of b.i.t.c.hy customers we deal with b.i.t.c.hy coworkers but that's another story."
Yoona leaned in, interesting to hear what Eunha had to say. "No, tell me. I want to know."
"Well," Eunha began. She took a sip out of her shot gla.s.s before telling her story. "Two weeks into working in here, when we were still new to the work environment, there was someone helping us transition right? His name is Sungjae and he's this older man. Anyways, let's just say he was kind of a sleazy a.s.shole. He would make snide comments to us and undermined Lucas's talent. I think he was jealous of us working on a big projects as newbies while he had been working for a while without a promotion. Anyways, one time Lucas made everyone some food and when we came back, we saw an entire dish in the garbage can."
Yoona scrunched her face. "What? Wow, does he still work here?"
Then Eunha let out a giggle. "No actually. Luckily for us, Kihyun helped us."
"Kihyun…?"
She clapped her hands. "Oh yeah, we never mentioned his names. He's the Director of MH Foods. Also known as my future husband."
This was Yoona's first time hearing about this 'future husband' ordeal. This only meant one thing. "Why? Is he that attractive?"
"Yes! Most higher-ups are old men, but Kihyun isn't. He promoted really quick due to his skills and social personality. He's known as the prince of the office, he is f-i-n-e let me tell you."

A happy sigh escaped Eunha's lips. "I thought I was in love."
"And you didn't tell me about this earlier because?" Yoona asked in a teasing tone. She poked her friend in the arm.
"Because my story didn't compare to your love story with Minhyun," Eunha said with a frown. Then she thought for a moment. "What's funny is that personality wise, he's the opposite of Minhyun."
Yoona nodded. "Interesting." She wasn't actually since she already had a marvelous boyfriend, but regardless the word came out of her mouth. "Anyways, continue the story."
Eunha clapped her hands excitedly. "Oh yeah! Basically, Kihyun saw everything that happened and confronted Sungjae. Sungjae tried to retaliate and deny that he did it, but Kihyun fired him. Not only because he was rude, but because he'd been slacking off at work. It was crazy!"
Lucas nodded. "It was pretty great. Good guy."
If Lucas admitted to how great Kihyun was, then he must be an amazing person. Yoona was quite excited to meet him later on at work.
"Wow. Well, next time, point him out to me okay?"
Eunha let out a grand smile. "Alright!"
Then a teasing smile entered Yoona's lips. She nudged Eunha's arm. "So, are we going to try to set you guys up or what?"
Eunha shook her heads. "Real talk. I want to only admire him from afar.."
Yoona furrowed her eyebrows, surprised by her friend's statement. Eunha was the forward type, not afraid to flirt with men. This was strange behaviour from her. "What? Why?"
"He's an untouchable prince, like your boyfriend. We live in different worlds"
"Yeah, but I also was in the same situation but look here. Now I'm dating the MH CEO," Yoona exclaimed.
Eunha thought for a moment before shrugging. "I don't think it'll work out… But it's okay! I'll find my prince charming soon!"
"Maybe you'll meet him tonight," Yoona joked.
Eunha sent her a wink. "I hope so."
Lucas rolled his eyes. "With her personality, I doubt it."
