On the final floor of his dungeon, Marcus observed the Dungeon Interface in front of him. He saw countless red dots swarming into the first floor of his dungeon through the three stone gates that led outside. Countless humanoids entered the dungeon in groups armed with s.h.i.+elds, blades and bows. They were looking for rare metals and the occasional treasure that they may find.
Marcus sighed as he saw the never-ending wave of humanoids entering his dungeon. He couldn't help but look through the walls of his dungeon towards the other 71 floating dungeons. He was envious of how calm their dungeons were. Then again they didn't get condemned here by the G.o.ds due to having a longer index finger.
"Master if you sacrifice me then you can gain enough mana to create a [Gathering Array] and a [Mana Barrier] that can with-"
"That's enough Gaia. I won't sacrifice you. When the dungeon falls and the Dungeon Master dies the Will of the Dungeon Core can be given a new master. So when I die you can continue to live on. With you being an Absolute Rank Dungeon Will I'm sure that those other 71 Dungeon Masters will gladly welcome you. You don't need to suffer from my unfair sentence as well." Marcus said melancholy.
"But Master I-"
"No buts! I heard that the last dungeon standing can get a wish for anything. If you want to then use that wish to revive me. However, this is no longer up for discussion."
Gaia immediately remained silent as it was afraid of further infuriating its Dungeon Master. It silently swore to itself that it would get revenge for its master and bring him back to life. As a new dungeon, they were supposed to be granted a barrier that would last for three years so that they can prepare for the onslaught of adventurers. They would also be given some small monsters, enough food and mana to grow the monster and resources to build traps and shape their dungeons. They didn't get any of those and worse they got a ma.s.sive beam of light that was emitted from their dungeon and big black words that said: "DUNGEON IS OPEN." It was without a doubt a death sentence. If that wasn't enough, they were forced to have at least three entrances to their dungeon. It was as if the G.o.ds wanted its master to die as soon as possible.
Gaia watched its master guard the entrance to the top floor of the dungeon. Its master was known as a Primordialborn; a race which came from Primordial Chaos. They were once a mighty race that even G.o.ds, Devils and Buddhas would steer clear from but now their power had declined along with their number. The G.o.ds, Devils and Buddhas had worked together to eliminate their race and Marcus was the last pureblooded Primalborn. He had a pair of golden wings, silver wings and another pair that had one white and one black wing. He had a long red scally tail and pointed ears but everything else about him looked human. This was the base form of a Primalborn. No doubt the G.o.ds wanted this dangerous ent.i.ty dead so that their reign wouldn't be disturbed.
As the adventurers tried to enter the Core Room Marcus ruthlessly cut them down. Hundreds of thousands of adventurers swarmed him but he refused to fall. His golden and silver blades created a dance death whose every step took a life. Corpses had begun to pile up at his feet but he still calmly forged forward. Countless spells and techniques were aimed at him but none were able to land. Such was the battle prowess of the once most renowned race in the universe. Unfortunately, no matter how strong he was, he still wouldn't be able to win. After all, he hadn't awakened his battle form yet otherwise he would have truly been invincible in battle.
"GO!" he yelled at Gaia before he made his final stand.
He shakily raised his sword as blood oozed out of his injuries. His left arm had been cut off and so had his right leg. His sword glowed brightly in the dimly lit Core Room as it slowly came down and brought with it the Grim Reaper's Call. The wave of light decimated all the adventurers that had entered the dungeon. A single cut split them down the middle. As the strike dimmed out of existence, the life was drained out of Marcus' eyes. Yet despite missing a leg and having millions of cuts and bruises he still valiantly stood refusing to bow down.

High above the skies of the Dungeon World, countless G.o.ds stood as they watched the death of the last Primalborn. This marked the death of an invincible race of fighters and the last arm of the Universe Will. From then on they could act as they like and they could finally put forward their plan of being the sole rulers of the Universe! Or so they thought...
--------------------------------
After Marcus died the dungeon immediately started closing. Gaia watched its master refusing to part with him. Despite only knowing him for a couple of hours, Gaia felt deeply attached to its master. It had countless masters before him and all of them had treated it as a tool nothing more. But the man that stood in front of it had sacrificed himself in order for it to be able to live on. It had never seen such a selfless man and never will. It prayed to its parent, the Universe Will, to reverse this situation and bring the man back to life. However, it knew that the Universe Will was shackled by the G.o.ds, Devils and Buddhas so that it can't act without consulting them.
However, somehow the threads of fate were weaved so that on this fateful day the Universe Will would hear its call and be able to act its Will.
