"Son, try to behave in front of King Lin. Remember, never blame Princess or say something that'll dishonor her."

"Shut up, you disobedient lad." Prime Minister Bai growled.

Bai Qiang was walking sideways with his father in the palace. Today, his old man tagged along with the excuse that his visit may help Bai Qiang to regain the trust of His Majesty since both of them were childhood friends. As they about to enter King Lin's King office, Bai Qiang stopped his steps in a stupor. His eyes almost popped out when he caught a glimpse of an unforgettable face that was strolling absentmindedly on the palace pathway.

"Impossible! How can that be!" He mumbled and ditched his father. He flew towards Liena's direction by using martial arts. He wanted to confirm his doubts if they were really true. After coming to a relatively close range, he focused at her side face.

'It's really her! But she looks so different today with her gown and makeup!' He exclaimed in surprise. He was confirmed that the girl was Nuwa.

Since Princess Liena's gaze was solely focused on the ground, Bai Qiang didn't notice her eyes. There was a storm going on inside his heart.

'But how did she enter the palace?'

Looking at her luxurious dress, he knew it cost a fortune. It was not impossible to estimate that she was receiving good treatments. But why? It was not even ten days pa.s.sed since the incident happened. So how did she change so drastically!

'Don't tell me-' Bai Qiang suddenly panicked.

Liena jumped fright when he suddenly touched her from behind. She felt terrified a.s.suming that was another a.s.sa.s.sination attempt so, she stood like a statue without moving her head. She could hear her heartbeats. She felt nausea.

At first, the bodyguards became flabbergasted not because of sudden attack but to see the genius general's face since they were well aware of Bai Qiang ident.i.ty. Without any hesitation, they pulled out their swords and pointed on his neck. They were prepared to kill.

'So what if it was the wors.h.i.+pped general. Even a son kill his father for the throne.' The dark history already taught them lessons. So they didn't give a whit anymore.

"General Bai Qiang! Let go of her highness or you'll lose your neck." Bodyguard Ruo Xie hissed.

Bai Qiang finally came back to his stupor when he realized the palace guards hostility and his impudent behavior so he hurriedly let her go. Thinking about she must be scared, he felt frightened.

'd.a.m.n! I made another mistake. She'll hate me more!'

'But I need to find the answer.' He looked at her expectingly.

Princess Liena finally felt relieved when she felt n.o.body was touching her anymore and guards were surrounding her. So, furrowing her slender brows, her attention finally fell at the culprit. But she became shocked when she realized it was Bai Qiang.

Soon her furrows crumbled in guilt. She never thought that they'd accidentally meet like this, even though she was kinda relieved. Today she was actually going to meet her father to confess everything. Bai Qiang deserved an apology, though she didn't like him a bit. He wronged Nuwa. But she still planned to apologize for her misdoings or else her conscience will haunt her down.

"Nuwa, answer me." She heard Bai Qiang's pleading voice.

Heh! He called her Nuwa. Do they really look so alike that this man could not even differentiate it? She felt happy inside. But the next comments from him almost choked her to death.

Both of them met their gaze. However, the next moment Bai Qinag's eyes almost popped out, when he noticed her eyes.

"Ehhhh!!! how did you change your eyes!?" He exclaimed.

"Stupid!"

Liena's lips twitched. It was really difficult to suppress her laughter. 'Seriously! How did this guy get a position with that head!'

"Guards execute him." King Lin roared suddenly. He ran holding a sword towards the crowd and before Bai Qiang realizes it, he felt a sharp pain.
