"Chahna, Why are there a lot of people entering into the village??"

Seeing the crowd enter into the village Ira was confused. They all looked poor, their clothings were tattered and some were even hurt.

"Well... The Prince must have ordered to find them and bring back the refugees and slaves. Almost all of the people in this village are either refugees who escaped after the king was overthrown or the people who were demoted to slaves as they refused to obey the current king..."

"If he keeps taking in people at this rate... this village will have to grow more in a lot of aspects...

Hah! I am sure s.h.i.+v is already working on them."

"Did you gather any new information on the Varma's?"

"Please forgive me, your highness. As of now, we are unable to gather any new information on them. All the information stops exactly on that dreadful night of the Varma's. But please don't worry, your highness. We have placed a lot of people here and there. They will inform us if they come across anything suspicious."

Veer gave an a.s.surance to s.h.i.+v, but still nothing could change the fact that they hold no information on them...

General Dev rushed into the room where both Veer and s.h.i.+v were having conversation.

"Prince s.h.i.+v, there is a little trouble in the village...

What happened?

While I was investigating on the Varma's along with General Veer, I happened to find this thing along the water source of our village. I have never seen anything like this before. It seems to be made up of some kind of metal....

Okay... But what is the issue with the village?

Hmm... Your Highness, it seems like the people who are going to fetch water from there have been disappearing mysteriously one after the other. They have not disappeared near our water source or on their way to the village. But instead those people have disappeared exactly after 3 days from the day they went to our water source..."

s.h.i.+v frowned a little from the news he just heard from General Dev. He was not sure whether this incident could be related to the unknown person they are searching for. But still he had to make a move so that his people are safe and sound.

"Why haven't I received any news regarding this matter till now?"

Veer and Dev immediately went on their knees to beg for his forgiveness.

"Prince, please forgive me for my incompetence. This is my first time hearing such a news. I was not aware of what was happening. Please forgive me!"

"Prince, it seems like the villagers have made a pet.i.tions to the local warriors regarding this issue and they had tried to locate those people who had disappeared. But unfortunately they could not trace them beyond a certain point and they planned on letting it go. I happened to find it out by chance myself and thus I brought it to your ears, your highness." Dev explained everything clearly to s.h.i.+v so that he doesn't misunderstand the situation at hand.

"Why would they seek the help of the local warriors? They could have directly made a pet.i.tion to anyone of you."

s.h.i.+v argued with Dev. But before he could finish saying everything he wanted, he was interrupted by Ira, who happened to pa.s.s by and overheard their conversation by chance.

"Umm... I don't know if I could interrupt your conversation... But I have something to say in this matter... May I?"

s.h.i.+v nodded his head and asked her to continue. If it were anybody else, he would have had people to immediately throw them out of the room. But since it was her, he wouldn't dare to do that. He was more than willing to listen to all of her statements.

"Don't get angry at them. These two can't always keep in tact with all of the happenings in the village. Besides you had General Veer to gather some information on that person... I think it was only right, that the people went and sorted the help of the local warriors. We do have quite a huge number of population for a small village like this and it seems like some more people are being brought into the village as refugees. I am sure you are thinking of ways to increase this village's financial structures, cost of living and such other things... Wouldn't it be good if you had created a police department like in... investigation bureau for this village to handle such cases?"

The people present in the room, including s.h.i.+v, were a little taken aback after hearing such detailed and precise idea from a woman. After all women in the past are all illiterate and were never allowed to showcase their own thoughts and ideas in front of the ma.s.s.

s.h.i.+v thought for a moment, all the things that Ira said made sense. Since he was pressed on time to find that person, he didn't think that through before he got angry at the Generals.

Just like she said the population of the village is increasing and he strengthened the security by forming an alliance with Prince Abhinav. But there are a lot of other things that needed his attention and one such was creating a point of contact for the people who are in need for help.

"Investigation Bureau, huh!? I thought it was not needed since there were not much people... But just like you say, in situations like this, it would prove to be helpful to have such a department. I will think on this further and propose a plan in today's court meeting. General Dev, look into this issue at hand further and report to me once you have found any clues. General Veer, you keep investigation on the task that has already been given to you. I hope you could find any leads sooner. You may go!"

'My Queen, is so smart!' s.h.i.+v had a proud expression on his face.

"Huh... One second General Dev. What is that you are holding in your hand?" Ira saw something s.h.i.+ny on General Dev's hand and enquired him of that.

"Oh... this one. My lady, this thing was found near the water source of our village. We are not sure what this thing is, need to do some further investigation on it..."

"This is... a lighter. Why is it in this world?" Ira's expression turned dreadful and she looked terrified the moment she finished uttering those words.
