Loving The Vampire Prince 1 Prologue

Third person's POV:

"Welcome back, My child." The King gestured Prince Claude to approach him.

"Good to see you, Father."-Prince Claude

"I'm sorry about what happened. You cannot love that mortal. But if it wasn't for our law, I would let you love her. I would've given you my blessing."-King

"From what I remember, I am allowed to love her since I already made a promise with her. "-Prince Claude

"There's a big risk loving a mortal, my child. You will understand once you've become a vampire. Now that you're on the right age, it is time for you." The King stood from his chair and approached the Prince.

"Let us start the ceremony. Bring in the chalice."-King

Prince Claude clenched his fist in anger.

'Why do I have to be born as a half-blood vampire?' He thought.

Claude's POV:

"Summoning, Venus."

I opened my eyes and I'm still standing at the same place.

I guess I can't summon our meeting place without you, My Sofie.

*sigh*

***FLASHBACK***

"Please Claude. Leave. I'm begging you!"

"And you expect me to do that? Sofie, we made a promise! I made a promise!"

"I know *sniff*" She smiled weakly. " You'll be coming back for me, right? Your family's in danger, Claude. They need you. Please listen to the King."

"B-but-" I wasn't able to finish my sentence when she spoke again.

"Naega.... Gidarigo isseulge, Claudeo. *sniff* Yaksokhaeyo.(I.... will wait for you, Claude. I promise.)

I held back my tears but smiled.

"Saranghae, nae sarang. Neomu saranghmnida." (I love you, my love. I love you so much.)

"Nodo saranghae, nae sarang." (I love you too, my love.)

And with that, she left.

She left me.

***END OF FLASHBACK***

She could've have been married with that man by now.

I should be waiting for the day of my death because of a broken promise.

"No! Please!" That voice!

I quickly ran and followed the voice I heard.

" Ah! Ah! No! Hmpf! Hmpf!" I hear a woman sobbing.

It can't be her, right?

"Shut up!" NO! I know that voice!

"Sofie." I ran into an alley.

If I ever caught that guy, I swear I'm gonna kill him this time!

"Sofie!" I shouted. But she didn't answer.

Instead, I heard her scream.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Again, I followed her voice.

There...

I saw her....

Lying on the ground, bathe in blood. I run to her and held her in my arms.

"N-no. Sofie!" I tried to wake her up. I realized that she's still breathing.

So, I decided to carry her.

"Don't worry, you're safe. I'm here. I'm here." I tried to comfort her. I took my phone from my pocket and called my a.s.sistant.

"Dimitri, tell dad I'm bringing someone to his clinic. I need his help." I was in panic while on the phone. But still, I tried to be calm as I could.

[Yes, your highness.]-Dimitri

I quickly ended the call and brought Sofia in my car.

"She had a lot of blood loss, Claude. If you didn't brought her here, she could've died. What happened to that woman?" Dad asked.

I punched the wall hard.

Blag!

"Claude!" Dad warned me.

"It's that d*mn vampire! I swear I will kill that man if I had a chance!"-me

"You will need a plan if you want to do that. But son, we're not allowed to do that. We are living by our law." I stared at him angrily.

"D*mn f**king law! " I murmured.

"We can catch him though. But we can't kill Marcus. It's the Clavion who are in-charge of his punishment. You know that, son."

"I can't just sit idly by, Dad. He got Sofie involve in this!"

"That's why I told you not to mess with mortals. Not to get involve with them."

"Dad, I made a promise with her. I can't just let her go like that. I need to protect her." He sighed.

"You need to, Claude. It's the only way." Dad left me in the room with Sofie.

I sat beside her and held her hand.

"I'm here, Soife. I will protect you no matter what." I closed my eyes and tried to see what happened to her while I was gone.

It's been so many years and I want to know if she was doing well while I'm away.

What is this?!

"Mom, stop. I can take care of myself. "

"Angela, it's dangerous. What if-"

"Mom, vampires don't exist. "-Sofie

"Angela! They exist. Just listen to me. Don't go anywhere on your own." Sofie just laughed.

"Just this once, ma. Okay? I love you." She kissed her mother on her cheeks.

She keeps on partying until dawn and comes home drunk. Her mom, still calm, helps her with a smile on her face. I can't see any signs of anger from her. Her mom is beautiful. Just like her.

She isn't like the Sofie I know. Sofie is just like her mom. Very understanding, caring and lovable.

How many years had pa.s.sed while I was gone? I don't understand.

The next morning, she woke up. Confused.

"Glad you're awake. Feeling better?" I asked. Trying to smile. But deep inside, I'm worried and angry.

"Yes. A little bit I guess." She smiled back. "Thanks for saving me."

I just nodded.

I stared at her for a moment. I was trying to see if she still remembers what happened before.

"You look familiar. Have we met before?" That question broke my heart.

I was silent for few seconds. Thinking she was just trying to joke around. But no. She's not.

She quickly glanced at the wall clock behind me.

"Oh shoot! Mom's gonna kill me. She might be worried! Ais.h.!.+" She quickly search for her things.

I took my jacket from the couch and placed it above her shoulders.

"Look at me." As she stared, I looked into her eyes.

I slowly touched her face.

"I missed you. But you should forget me. We can't be together for now." Dad was right. She'll be in danger if this goes on.

Then I have to wait for my death after I break my promise.

"I will come back for you. I love you, my sweet Sofie." A tear escaped from my eyes as I chanted the spell, "Nal geuman ijuhyo, nae sarang." (Forget me, my love)

She slowly fell asleep. I just silently cried.

This must be my punishment for loving a mortal. I must face the consecquences then. But, loving her was worth it.

"I will keep this memory of us, alone. I'm sorry." I took my phone and called Dimitri, again. "Take her home."

Several years later...

"Make sure to catch that idiot." I stared at the three idiots in front of me.

"Yes, doryeonnim." The three answered in unison.

I stared at the newbie. Actually, he's the real reason why we're stuck here. He bit a mortal and accidentally turned him into a vampire. If both of them can't control their hunger for human blood, the black blood will punish them for sure.

I can't let that happen. Since I am the responsible one why this newbie became a vampire.

"Leave. NOW." And they left.

I looked around and realize this is the place where the portal to Venus Garden is hidden.

I smiled weakly.

I miss you, my sweet Angela Sofia. I hope you're doing well without me.

I closed my eyes.

"Garden of Love, I summon thee

As I vow to be one with my love.

Now, forever and alw" I was cut off by a loud scream.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!" SOFIE!

"Earl!!! Jadieee!!!! HELP ME!!!!"

I quickly ran into the woods to the direction where I heard the voice.

And I was right....

It's her.
