Demon Guardian In The Multiverse 6 Orzammar And Recruiting A Dwarf

(A/N: Like before almost always copy paste but only from the Proving Ground part then it will be freer again.)

After waking up Logan goes down to meet the others on a table eating breakfast he goes to the table and orders some breakfast and beer for himself, while Darrian and Daveth asked him where he went and what he was doing. He answered he was having a good time with some ladies in this village. The two opened their mouth so wide that Logan could but his fist in it. Once done with breakfast they pay up and leave for their horses and leave towards Orzammar it took them another 3 and a half days to get there. Leaving their horses in a stable they go for the gate where a Gatekeeper was waiting for them asking what they are going to do in Orzammar.

Duncan shows a symbol of a Griffon and the Gatekeeper says to the other Dwarves to make way for the wardens. Hearing this the guards go to the side and bow towards them. Once inside they go to visit the King of the Dwarves, King Endrin Aeducan.

The group approaches while he sits on his throne when he stands up and stretches his hand out to Duncan and says, "It's been sometime Duncan of the grey warden. What brings you here?"

"I want to search for potential recruits my lord," Duncan says with a smile on his face and stretches his out to shake hands with King Aeducan.

"I will hold a Proving in your honor so you can find a person you like," says King Aeducan with a smile on his face.

"Then we will find a place somewhere in the c-," says Duncan when he gets interrupted by the king who says, "You can go to the Guestrooms we have for these occasions."

"Thank you very much, my lord," says Duncan

"How long will you stay?" asks the King

"Only until I find a potential recruit here in Orzammar," says Duncan.

"So be it we will hold the Proving in three days. So your recruits can tour the city," says the king with a smile.

Then he goes to the a.s.sembly to announce that they will hold a Proving in the honor to the grey wardens so that they could find a recruit with potential. Afterward, he informs Duncan about it. The next three days were bonding time for the trio understanding each other and compare skill with each. Logan wins every time in the little battle royal of the three that Daveth and Darrian teamed up to beat him to every time it ended in defeat.

What Logan found out was that Darrian was better in close combat and Daveth in long-distance fighting making them train to perfect their skill in it. Logan says, "You need to perfect your skills so you can rely on them you also need to train your body and mind so you can fight for months. Like my father always says a strong body and mind can overcome anything in life. I have a training regiment for you that I had to go through when a was a kid," Logan thinking at the same time, 'That old b.a.s.t.a.r.d put me through h.e.l.l since a was f****** six until I was eighteen. I still don't know how my mother accepted all this. I'm just happy that this body was already made for an intense battle.'

Looking at them giving them a standard training plan especially made for them to help build more stamina and to strengthening their strong points and says to the two, "It will be for the best if you do it. If you won't do it well you will be unlucky, after all after the Joining your a**** will be mine and if you can't keep up with my pace you will be left behind by me I will not wait for you just because you need to rest." hearing this both paled up first thinking about Logan being their leader. Later the two began to go through the training plan he gave them.

Then Logan goes to the commoner's district to the market to buy a bow to learn how to use it. After searching through all the bows he decides to pick a heavy longbow and buys it thinking, 'this should do for now to train. It will take some month to perfect my skill as an Archer but if it might help me with my Nightstalker power.'

Afterward, he goes to a pub in the commoner's district named Tapster's Tavern to drink his beer or what they call beer. Logan orders an ale and a mead for himself at the same time he was hearing what the Dwarves were talking about. After some hours he returned to the Diamond district to the house of the Aeducans to meet with the two recruits in bed sleeping and Duncan sitting before a desk writing a letter to his men. Logan only says, "Good Night see you tomorrow."

Duncan nods and says, "Good Night *yawning*,"

"Can't sleep the nights already?" asks Logan.

"Yes, the nightmares are getting stronger lately might be because the blight is almost at our doorsteps," says Duncan looking at Logan who was going towards his bed.

"Well, at least you know how it will all end. Also, you will get enough sleep once you die or so I heard once. Tomorrow will be a long day again looking after the Dwarf we want to recruit so good night," says Logan while going towards his bed to go to sleep.

The next morning they go towards the Proving Grounds it's an arena where the Dwarves honor their ancestors and paragons. When Daveth and Darrian asked what a paragon was Duncan answered them, "Do you remember we had to go through a corridor. That the Hall of Heroes who we pa.s.sed through to get to Orzammar the statues represent a Paragon and a Paragon is a Dwarf that contributed something grand for his people like Paragon Aeducan who fought in the first blight against the Darksp.a.w.n and saved his people," then he goes to his seat and sits down Logan follows him sitting on the furthest seat like prepared to run out if he has to. Both take the seat beside Duncan.

POV Faren Brosca in the same morning

Faren Brosca thinks of himself that he is a simple Dwarf that just has a talent when it comes to cheating other people. That's why he works with the Carta with his friend Leske.

"You know if you were in one of the n.o.ble castes you could be king of the dwarves with all your schemes in the I don't know how we are still alive," says Leske looking at Faren who was counting the money he cheated from a merchant selling him fake diamonds.

"It's because we have brains that work and don't think so much what the ancestors want from us. As long as my sister and my crazy mother get something to eat I would do anything," says Faren to Leske. He walks toward a house in Dust Town once inside you can her two women discussing something in a loud voice. Faren coming in to see his mother and sister arguing with each other about her meeting a n.o.ble caste Dwarf.

"So what did mother this time Rica?" asks Faren his sister.

"She doesn't let me move to my suitor mansion in the diamond district, she is afraid that he is using me but I know he loves me he hasn't met someone else since he is with me and always buys me gifts like the clothes I'm wearing right now," says Rica to Faren still angry at their mother.

"You know that she is a little crazy she hoped she could jump with you from casteless to warriors caste but you were a girl that's why she still holds a grudge against you. Also, don't hear her out and everything should be ok. Just ignore her like me I only bring money to feed her, because if not she would be dead in an alley here in Dust Town," says Faren when someone knocked at the door.

"Faren and Leske, Beraht is searching for you he has an errand for you and I think he is still p.i.s.sed at you for selling the lyrium that you got from your last errand," says the messenger from the Carta.

"And what would be that here then be," says Faren holding some lyrium in his hand, "Do you really think I'm that stupid and would sell the lyrium that is not mine. I don't have a death wish just because of this."

The messenger leaves and Leske says, "Didn't you sell everything yesterday to someone?"

"Not all the lyrium and Beraht doesn't know how much lyrium our victim Oskias had. So I kept a handful of lyrium and sold the rest," says Faren then he walks towards his sister and gives her a pouch full of gold coins and says, "You are pregnant, aren't you."

She goes red in embarra.s.sment and says, "2 months since I don't have my days. The man of the n.o.ble caste is the father that why I want to leave her and live there for the unborn child's well being."

"Then go and don't look back better there than here for the child," says Faren looking at her happy knowing he will be an uncle in some months, "You know that I love you so don't worry about the old hag I will take care of her somehow."

She nods and disappears from his side after hugging him for felt an hour.

Then Leske and Faren walked out of the house and go to a door. Going through the door they arrived at the Carta headquarter in Orzammar to meet with Beraht who awaited them.

"So the two rats came back after stealing from me," says Beraht with anger in his tone when both entered the room.

"Here this was all Oskias had with him when we got to him," says Faren when he throws over the handful lyrium towards Beraht who catches it and says, "So you still have a brain good for you," then he throws a bag of coins towards him.

"I have a new a.s.signment for you. I have a bet going in the Proving for a warrior named Everd and I want him to win here you have some sleeping potion I want you to give it to his opponents so that he wins the Proving. Can you two do it." says Beraht looking at both and giving them a pa.s.s to enter to the waiting rooms in the proving ground. He was still a little suspicious about the lyrium if it was all or not. But he let them go.

Both leaving the headquarter of the Carta to go to the Proving Grounds and search for the opponent of Everd to put some potion in his drink while the other is taking his attention. But before they even arrived near the opponent of Everd they meet Everd in his room lying on the floor to drunk to even fight when Leske says, "We are dead my friend he couldn't even win with a fight even against a dead Dwarf Beraht will kill us."

"Just give me his armor and helmet I should be able to win it with my skill against them," says Faren looking at Leske.

"Good idea better try to win it I will have an eye on this one," says Leske looking at Faren. Who was putting Everd's armor on and swinging a two-handed ax that belongs to Everd.

Later leaves Faren the room in armor with a helmet on so they don't recognize him with a giant ax on his back. And goes to the proving guard in front of a door that goes to the arena.

"May fortune favor your fight Everd are you ready." says the proving guard and Faren nods and goes in.

Once in the arena, he looks up to the honor seats in front of him were the grey wardens and the proving announcer beside them.

"Today we are here not only to honor our Ancestors and Paragons but to honor the grey wardens who came to look for a potential recruit under the people fighting today. Now we shall begin. Warrior Everd, son of Galten, will fight Officer Mainer, a survivor of the battle of Kal Elerin. Now let the fight begin," says the announcer.

"You honor me with this battle. May the stone show the boldest hearts through the strongest arm," says Mainer first to honor the tradition before a battle. Then Faren says, "Right back to you." Then both give a small bow to each other and the fight begins.

Faren swings his ax at Mainer who blocks this attack with his s.h.i.+eld and swings his mace at Faren, who rolls out of the way hitting him behind his knee with the ax's handle and then pulls with all his strength to let Mainer fall. Once on his back, Faren goes over and put his ax on Mainer's neck to signals the match is over and some people began to cheer for Faren.

The Announcer says, "The winner is Evert, son of Galten. A truly memorable fight. The young cadet vanquishes the wily veteran. Healer, see to his wounds."

Then Faren leaves the arena and goes to Everd's room were Leske was keeping an eye on Everd. Once inside Leske congratulates him for winning. Soon the Provings Guard knocked on the door to call him. He goes out with his helm on and walks to the arena were his next opponent awaits him.

Once inside the arena, the announcer says, "People here we have Everd, son of Galten, who has to fight against last year's tournament Division's champion Adalbo, proven in glory before the Stone."

Then Adalbo says, "You honor me with this fight. May we win glory to the eyes of our lords."

Then it was Faren's turn and he says, "Let's win some glory for the wardens." Both give a small bow and the fight begun.

This time Adalbo swings his battle ax first and Faren block with the handle and kick Adalbo stomach area. Adalbo takes some step back but Faren doesn't wait for and swings down his battle ax towards Adalbo who evades with a roll to the side. He tries the same trick Faren used against Mainer but Faren saw through him and put the handle between his leg and Adalbo's handle once blocked he punches with his free hand Adalbo on his face. Once the hit connected he kicked his ax's blunt side so it rotates up and holds it with two hands again and swings it at Adallo again this time it hits him hard and he stumbles back trying to recover. Faren doesn't let him pushes his body against Adalbo and that puts Adallo down on the floor. Once down Faren uses his chance and puts his knee on Adallo's chest area and the ax an Adalbo's neck and everyone cheers for Faren.

The Announcer says, "Winner is Everd, son of Galten. The ancestors show you their favors."

Faren leaves for Everd's room and Leske wasn't there and Everd too. He waited in the room until the provings guard knocked on the door and Faren goes to the arena.

Once again the Announcer presented both saying, "Here we have Everd, son of Galten, who will fight Lenka a silent sister-in-training, she made her vows but hasn't completed her blooding. Will she be accepted by her legendary order? That will depend on her performance today."

Didn't say anything. Faren says, "You honor me with this fight. May both achieve glory today." Then both bowed to each other and the fight begun.

Lenka runs at Faren while drawing her sword and a dagger and tries to stab him. He takes two steps back but Lenka follows him and swings her sword at him. He blocks with the handle but then the dagger came directly at his face he evades the dagger by s.h.i.+fting his head to the right but she didn't stop and swings her dagger to the right. He then let go off his ax and grabs her hand and throws her over his shoulder once done he unequips her of the dagger. Then she swings her sword at him he takes some steps back with the dagger in his hand. Once again she starts to swing her sword at him but this time Faren didn't block but gets deeper in and the underbody of the sword hits the armor and she couldn't use her full strength on this swing once inside he takes his chance and holds the dagger in front of her neck. She holds her hands up and everyone in the arena begins to cheer.

Then Announcer says, "Winner is Everd, son of Galten. Lenka has fought well but not well enough. Everd you advance to the final bout to determine the true champion of the ring. Against-"

When suddenly the real Everd comes from the door to the arena still drunk saying, "Wh? Is my bout a'ready? Hey! That my armor!"

Everyone in the arena were booing or whistling Everd out when the Announcer questioned him, "Who are you? How dare you disrupt this sacred-"

Then a Mainer says, "Wait! I know that man. That's Everd! Then who did I fight against?"

The Announcer says, "Remove your helmet, warrior, let us see your true face."

Then Faren took Everd's helm from his head and throws it to the ground and laughs while saying, "I am of no caste or clan, but I defeated you all!"

The Moment he did that Duncan stood up from his seat with a smile on his face thinking he found the recruit he was told about by Logan. Daveth and Darrian didn't know what was going on and Logan disappeared like always somewhere they didn't know.

The Announcer says, "Casteless! You insult the very nature of this Proving. Guards take this filth away!"

When Duncan goes over to the announcer and says, "Hold your men. This warrior has defeated the best of what you have to offer. Is that not what this Proving is for."

"We are honored by your presence, Warden, but this Proving is not only for you to pick a recruit there are laws in this arena we are standing in and they will be held. This woman is no warrior he is a casteless, rejected by the ancestors. His very footsteps pollute the Stone. He has no place here," says the Announcer and Duncan answers, "Except as your champion," and then he leaves with Darrian and Daveth.

Then Faren fight with the guard but they were too many for him alone. They knock him out.

Once he woke up he sees himself in a cell and Leske in another one then he asks how long he was away hearing it was just some minutes he was relieved. They begin talking about what happened and then Jarvia coming in now the know they were in the Carta headquarters cells for traitors or to extract information of some poor fool.

She says that they caused too much trouble for Beraht today he lost only 100 sovereigns only for Lord Vollney. And the a.s.sembly were investigating the whole thing. The Proving was declared annulled. She also told them that it will be there last night of there lives and then she throws a body of a dead female in front of Faren who he recognizes as his mother he got blood red eyes when suddenly someone in blue clothes comes from above the three and cuts Jarvia in two. (A/N: And here we have our first change.) Once done he picks up the keys from Jarvia with his sword and then throws them towards Faren and then he swings his sword and opens a portal everything was so fast that both couldn't see his face. Faren then opens the door and the door of Leske. Then he picks his mother up and gives her a last hug and leaves her there.

Both then go over to a chest in the room with their things, putting these on and running through the Headquarter killing their way through it. To arrive in a room were Beraht was waiting for them. A fight broke out and Faren, and Leske had to fight against Beraht and three of his men. Leske taking one down with his two daggers and taking a hit that wasn't critical and Faren killing one man with a vertical swing down and the one who injured Leske he parts in two by the waists. Then Faren had to fight Beraht he swings at him with the ax. But Beraht blocks it then Beraht tries to hit him with his sword but it's blocked by Faren who then kicks Beraht's b.a.l.l.s. Beraht falls down holding his b.a.l.l.s and says his last word, "Not fair," then Faren decapitates him with the ax. Then he put Leske on his shoulder and runs towards an exit once out of the Carta headquarter he finds himself in a shop in the commoner's district. Once he leaves the shop he is surrounded by the Guards. Then Duncan and the trio arrives. And the guards wanted to kill him couldn't do it because Duncan says with a serious tone, "I conscript this man no harm shall fall over him or you will fell our wraith." The four Wardens prepared to fight when suddenly the guard's captain comes over a little arrogantly and says, "Are you sure Warden that you want this casteless as a Warden."

"So it is," says Duncan and walks over to Faren and ask him, "Do you want to join my order and fight the Darksp.a.w.n where ever you are? You can't stay in Orzammar any longer so I'm giving you a solution." Faren bows showing that he wants to leave but can't yet. Seeing this Logan goes forwards and puts some potion he bought in the market on the friend of their new recruit once Leske could move Faren says to him, "Can you bury my mother and tell my sister that I will not able to see her again," Leske agrees and disappears in all this chaos since the focal point is on Faren. Once Leske was away Faren agrees to the Wardens offers and wanting to leave this place.

"Welcome to the Grey Warden then," says Duncan with a smile gaining another recruit. They all then leave Orzammar the same day.
