Way To The Heavens 47 Practicing Martial Arts

When w.a.n.g Wei got back to the academy he went straight to jade island to start practicing the new martial arts he got from w.a.n.g Longwei. He wanted to become a soul expert who was also very experienced in martial arts. That way, when his soul energy ran out he could still continue to fight. He did have the martial arts from w.a.n.g Ye but those were extremely hard to practice. He already learned the overbearing fist. There were some other martial arts techniques but they were for increasing one's stamina and strength. The special techniques were also hard to practice. Not only was it extremely difficult. You would also need to have good learning and understanding ability. That is because there was no one around who could teach the techniques.

So that is why w.a.n.g Wei started learning the new martial arts he obtained. The one he started with was called the fire manipulation arts. To practice it one would need to have a fire-type soul form. And be a soul expert. The martial art was full of moves which involved fire enhancing the attacking power and manipulating fire to take the form of objects or beasts. The other martial arts were bone enhancing arts, lightning steps, and air strike arts. The final two martial arts were for Long Yue and Lee Zheng.

'I will start by training the fire manipulation arts.' w.a.n.g Wei thought to himself. 'After that, I will practice a little bit of the bone enhancing arts.'

For the next few days, w.a.n.g Wei would wake up, eat breakfast, go out to train, eat dinner, train, and sleep.

It was a peaceful morning and w.a.n.g Wei woke up. The sun would s.h.i.+ne on his face through the window which made him look like a beautiful divine being. The birds were happily chirping and the sound of the wind blowing through the trees was very calming. After w.a.n.g Wei ate breakfast he stepped outside to start his training again. The morning dew on the gra.s.s and plants was almost gone but there was still a little bit left.

w.a.n.g Wei started breathing in, and out. Between each breath, he waited for three seconds. He repeated this process for a full five minutes. After this, he would start taking different stances which seemed to do nothing but eventually, a red mist started to form around his body. After the red mist was ten centimeters thick. He started breathing again and the red mist around him disappeared. It was being absorbed by his body! After all the red mist was absorbed by him it was silent. After a moment a lot of cracking and popping could be heard.

'Yes!' w.a.n.g Wei thought to himself. 'I reached the red bone level.'

The bone enhancing arts was divided into nine different levels. Each level would correspond with the cultivation base of the person practicing. That is why w.a.n.g Wei reached the red bone level so fast. He could also reach the orange bone level if he practiced for another two months. But if he wanted to advance to the yellow level it would take him much longer because he was not yet a chi master. This is also the reason why people who would practice this martial arts and weren't able to cultivate soul energy weren't able to reach a high level. The highest level reached by a non-cultivator was the yellow level. Which was already really impressive as most of them couldn't even completely reach red bone level.

In the past few days, w.a.n.g Wei would also cultivate for a decent amount of time but he did not advance that much with his soul energy level. He was still level twenty-four. But he did reach red bone level. Which would also help his combative abilities. After he was done stabilizing his bone level he started practicing the fire manipulation arts. He would take a few deep breaths and a little bit of fire would appear. He used pure soul energy to use this martial art. After he stabilized the fire he would start to move it around. He would make circles around his body and slowly gain more understanding and control toward the fire and the martial arts themselves.

He then made yet another breakthrough. As his understanding towards fire became more profound he stretched out the ball or fire until it would form a ring of fire around him. This was the second technique described in the fire manipulation martial arts. If his understanding of fire would become as great as the heavens he would even be able to create strong soul beasts out of fire.

When he finished his training it was almost time for dinner.

"Teacher." w.a.n.g Wei called out.

"Yes?"

"Tonight I will be eating with my friends." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"That is okay. But don't forget that the principle is still waiting for the martial arts from that book of yours." Shen Teng said.

"I know. It is already done." w.a.n.g Wei said as he retrieved a little notebook from his interspatial ring. "You can deliver this to the principle."

"Thank you, w.a.n.g Wei" Shen Teng said.

"No problem." w.a.n.g Wei said as he left.

'I have really chosen great disciple.' Shen Teng thought.

When w.a.n.g Wei arrived at the dorms he headed straight toward the room Long Yue and Lee Zheng were staying in.

"Hey, w.a.n.g Wei. What's up." Long Yue said when he came back to his room. He was training hard to make sure he wouldn't fall behind.

"Nothing. I just wanted to have dinner together." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"That's great!" Long Yue said. "The entire cla.s.s is coming together tonight for a big barbeque. We wanted to invite you but we couldn't contact you nor the vice-principle."

"Oh, well. I'm here now. Let's go." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"Sure, just let me change into fresh clothes and we'll be on our way." Long Yue said.

As they were walking toward the barbeque Long Yue was talking about what had happened in cla.s.s the past few days.

"Oh by the way." w.a.n.g Wei interrupted him. "I picked up some martial arts for you and Lee Zheng to practice."

"Really?"

"Yeah, here." w.a.n.g Wei handed over the lightning steps and air strike arts. "The lightning step martial arts is for you and the air strike is for Lee Zheng. I also picked up some martial arts for myself so when I will return to cla.s.s I will be even more powerful." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"Thanks. I can't wait." Long Yue said
