Way To The Heavens 30 The Challenge

It was Lei Huo. One of the persons the beat for the spots in the tournament.

"What are you doing here? Were you even invited?" Long Yue said.

"We are here to challenge you now that you are back." Lei Huo said.

As he said this Xiao Dai and Zhao Wei walked out.

"So you want to get beaten again?" w.a.n.g Wei said in a mocking tone.

"We have been training. We are now chi fighters. We won't lose to you three now. We broke through two days ago. We will show no mercy." Xiao Dai said as the revealed their soul jewels. They each had two soul jewels one red and one orange.

"Lee Zheng, can you handle it?" w.a.n.g Wei whispered.

"Yeah, I forgot to tell you guys but I also broke through my family immediately took me into the forest to get me a second soul jewel. This one is two thousand years old." Lee Zheng whispered back.

"Wait you broke through to the spirit country domain?" Long Yue asked in a low voice.

"Yes, I am rank twenty-one. We can take them. Right? What rank are you guys?" Lee Zheng asked. "You must be higher than twenty right?"

"I am rank twenty-two." Long Yue said.

"I am still rank twenty." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"It's okay since we are getting higher and higher our progress will keep getting slower. The only reason we got to rank twenty this fast was because of the essences of the soul beasts we hunted in our time before the tournament right?" Lee Zheng said.

"Shhh. No one is supposed to know about that." w.a.n.g Wei said.

Then w.a.n.g Wei spoke up again. "Okay, we accept your challenge but what will be the price for the winners. We aren't fighting for anything so why should we."

"The winners will get to go to the losers their families and get whatever they want. No high ranking position but only something materialistic." Zhao Wei said.

"Okay, it's a deal." Long Yue said.

"Psst. w.a.n.g Wei." Patriarch w.a.n.g Longwei called out.

"Yeah?"

"Are you sure about this? Our family doesn't have much if we lose anything more the family will probably disappear. They are each from a big family so they probably have been training with experts since you were gone. They will probably ask for parts of land or something from the treasuries of our families if they win."

"Don't worry patriarch, I will expand our families wealth and land." w.a.n.g Wei said.

He then turned to Lei Huo.

"How about this. The winners will go to all three of the losers' families and will each get to pick one thing they want?" w.a.n.g Wei said.

Lei Huo then turned to his sacred moon family' patriarch who nodded in acceptance.

"Okay. If you want us to absolutely ravage all of your families it is a deal." Lei Huo said while laughing maniacally.

As Lei Huo was laughing w.a.n.g Wei was busy thinking about what he should request from each family.

'The sacred moon family has a lot of land so I will probably ask some of their land for my own family. Xiao Dai' void family has a lot of rice fields but they also possess some of the mines in the mountains of the south side of the town. If I remember correctly their mines are all really rich in minerals and they even find cultivation resources. I think I will ask for a mine from them. Now lastly Zhao Wei she is a direct descendant from the jade family. They have a lot of power in this town as they own most of the farms and rice fields around town. I will ask for some farms and cattle since the meat will earn a lot of money on the market.'

As w.a.n.g Wei was deep in thought all of the attendants made their way to a fighting ground on the holy leopard family' land. It was actually a little stadium as the holy leopard family would often organize and host martial arts tournaments.

There was enough place for everyone that attended the feast. The patriarchs of the six families involved each had a big chair. The red fire-dragon, holy leopard and snow-white eagle family sat on one side of the arena while the other patriarchs sat on the other side. All of the patriarchs were looking very confident except for the patriarch of the red fire-dragon family. He was not worried or anything. He was sleeping!

He was then woke up by Long Chen.

"Why are you sleeping? Are you nuts? One of the most important battles of your family will be fought in a few minutes." Long Chen said.

"You have trained both w.a.n.g Wei and Long Yue since they were young. They also won the soul expert tournament with students from glory academy. I don't think we have to worry." w.a.n.g Longwei said.

"Yeah, the boys are strong. But their opponents wouldn't challenge them if they wouldn't have confidence in themselves. I mean you heard what they said. They are all chi fighters." Long Chen said.

"Wait, you don't know?" w.a.n.g Longwei said.

"What?" Long Chen said.

"w.a.n.g Wei, Long Yue, and Lee Zheng are also each chi fighters. I know w.a.n.g Wei. He would never fight a battle which he couldn't win willingly." w.a.n.g Longwei said.

After this conversation, the three patriarchs started laughing out loud and after that starting drinking and talking as if the fight was just for fun.

The patriarch of the void family turned to the patriarch of the sacred moon family.

"Are you sure about this fight? The other patriarch is drinking and laughing as if they already won." He said.

"Don't worry they won't be defeated not even if their opponents were chi fighters they trained with the best experts in our families. It is impossible for them to lose. And when we win we can finally dominate this town." The patriarch of the sacred moon family said.
