Lu Cheng justifies even though he is surprised "But he is the one narrating the story!".

She pokes him "It doesn't matter as long as the lead guy's characterization ables to create the lead impact stronger than this guy's!".

He nods with complete interest "Lets read".

She smiles "Are you interested?!".

He simply nods and looks at the book 'How the main lead is going to create his s.p.a.ce when this guy is travelling from very beginning of the story? Interesting..'.

However, he didn't ignore to notice the texts.

[They will reach the main base in 4 minutes]

[They are going to enter the base]

[Its been 30 minutes. They are still inside]

[The Young Masters came out but Mr.Han is still inside]

Lu Cheng frowns "Why is he taking so long?" and shrugs it off.

Lu Cheng frowns seeing Tang Xi stopped reading and he sees her hand swaying which was holding book.

'Is she...'.

He supports in holding the book and realizes that she is almost asleep. He closes the book carefully and rests her hand on him.

She starts nuzzling in his embrace and mumbles "Better he...*sigh* ...idiot...".

He holds her carefully in his embrace and chuckles lowly 'She is really into the book. ..' and sighs while looking at the text.

[Mr.Han is getting out from the base]

THUD!

He was about to keep the book on the bedside table but drops seeing the text.

Tang Xi wakes up drowsily hearing the sound and his body tensed subconsciously. She m.u.f.fles in his embrace "What is it?".

Lu Cheng pats her head "Nothing.." and crease his eyebrows 'What's happening? Why is Han Ron leaving the place?!'.

He is texting Tianxian to know more but gets Tianxian's text before he finishes typing.

[Knight is in their hands and he is injured. Its quite serious]

Lu Cheng blinks at the text and looks at Tang Xi in his arms 'Serious?!'.

At first he was rest a.s.sured and left everything from his hold. He doesn't want to get involved in this extra mess as long as they don't interfere in his way. Moreover, safe keeping his wife and children is his prime preference now.

He knew that there would be a big battle between them and was very confident that Knight would do his job of eliminating them...He doesn't care to know what's going on between them! If he needs to know, he decided to know from whoever survives but to his surprise Knight was knocked down so easily!

He erases his previous text and rewrites.

[Get him to our base. Make sure he is alive]

After a short pause , he texts.

[No one should find that I am behind his rescue]

Tianxian was so confused seeing his text "Is he saying to rescue Mr.Han... or Knight?".

Bran who was resting beside him snorts while still lying on his bed "Why would he ask to rescue Han Ron when he was the one taking Knight you fool?!".

Tianxian spits "We are going to save Knight?!".

Bran tosses and says "May be he doesn't want to see his 'Brother-in-law' dead!".

Tianxian almost thrown up hearing him "Brother-in-law?! He was his enemy Bran!".

Bran continues slowly almost talking to himself but audible to Tianxian "Until Lady Lu's entry in their life".

Tianxian nods ".." Indeed ..She changed everything! Closed ones become enemies and enemies become 'beloved' ones!.

Bran scoffs sitting weakly "Alright get you a** off and let me handle this! You make sure to save Knight at any cost. After all our boss has become a complete slave of his wife.. If we mess up... and Lady Lu gets to know about this...you know it would stir a very big storm...".

Tianxian calls someone shaking his head while muttering frustrated "I am gonna die between the battle of this two! Sometimes I wonder why I am still working-". for him...

He stops seeing Bran and storms out hissing through his mobile "Gather in 2 minutes! It's an emergency ".

Bran squirms holding his abdomen "d.a.m.n! They really hit me hard while knocking me down!".

He starts to work ignoring his injuries.

Tianxian was p.i.s.sed off as it took almost his life to save Lu Cheng and survive from Knight's attack. But he is running to save him! If not for Tang Xi's face, he wouldn't have done any of this sort!

Midnight.

Lu Cheng is standing alone in the terrace holding the railing. Even though he had a fantastic view of the beautiful garden ahead of , he couldn't focus on anything.

'Why ?'.

He has only one word as all his questions in his mind. He just wanted to ask why.

'Knight didn't kill me even though he had a chance. But he didn't .

'Why?'

'He kidnapped Rouxi and I am 100% sure that he knows...Everything about Jing... But he still sent Tang Xi back to me without telling her anything'.

'Why?'.

'He released her even after knowing Han Ron's intrusion in Tang Villa! '.

Lu Cheng takes out a cigar from his pocket and lits it slowly. He lets out a deep breath and soon the smoke makes him more at peace.

He closes his eyes.

'Today he had a great chance to finish whatever he had with Han Ron. But he himself ...'

'Why?!'.

"Cheng?".

He is startled by Tang Xi's voice behind him and turns.

Tang Xi was all sleepy yet she came searching him at midnight. She couldn't help noticing the dark circles under his eyes. 'It must have been hard for you...You shouldn't have been slept well'.

She is hugging herself with her hands and rubbing feeling the cold. She felt responsible for his condition and asks biting her lower lip "What are you doing here?".

Lu Cheng realizes he was smoking and puts the cigar down immediately as if he was caught by his father. Alas! He didn't had the chance in his life as his father died when he was ten.

Fortunately, he is happy thinking there is someone now to catch me...

Lu Cheng walks to her "Why are you here?" and holds her in his embrace softly "Lets go down. Its cold here".

She nods and notices his eyebrows are still furrowed. She asks "Is everything okay?".

Lu Cheng nods curtly "Everything will be...Soon".
