Lu Cheng frowns and looks at his mobile "What's she going?! Tang Xi?!".

Tang Xi clears her throat and asks doubtfully "What were you talking about?".

He smiles "The books of course! Tell me! Shall I buy the whole-".

She asks "But why are you buying books? Weren't you out for some emergency work?".

He speaks checking the books "It's postponed. Shall I buy the books with its English translations? We will read together".

She smiles happily tugging her hairs behind her ears. She bites her lips playfully "Then just buy the first volume for now. We will buy others together next time".

Lu Cheng gets surprised and smiles "Roger that Wifey!".

She laughs "Stupid Hubby! You scared me for no reason! Let me punish you once you reach!".

He takes a book and walks towards the billing counter.

He ends the call chuckling. 'She called me hubby again...so I shouldn't react surprised when she calls me that..so that she would get used to it...'.

He takes his wallet and keeps the cash on the desk. He feels someone behind and turns.

He looks around but none was there. He takes the book casually as he is in great mood and walks out actually runs out hurriedly.

He hears foot steps behind and frowns but keeps forwarding cautiously pretending that he didn't notice anything.

Lu Cheng gets into his car and looks around with nonchalant face. But his eyes were peering everywhere.

He tilts his head thinking 'Now who the h.e.l.l is behind me? Its definitely not Knight. Not Han Ron. Then who?!'.

He puts on his seat belt and starts driving. He notices no one following him and gets alerted. 'Seems its getting big...'.

He calls Tianxian and asks "Track my location and find if someone is following me".

Tianxian nods and starts working on Bran's laptop.

He frowns and says "But there is no vehicle behind".

Lu Cheng sighs frustrated "I can SEE that Tianxian" and shakes his head "Get Bran and tell him to find the one who is following me".

Tianxian sulks and feels wronged "But..there is no one-".

Lu Cheng rubs his forehead "Just tell him. He will find".

Tianxian nods "Yes Chief!". He frowns "But how can someone find this?! If there is no vehicle behind him obviously no one is following him in the road-".

Tianxian stops talking and gets stunned "So...someone us following Chief even before?!".

He works on the laptop to find something in the footages of Lu Cheng from this morning.

Lu Cheng ends the call and drives a little slower than his usual speed of course with more alertness!.

He feels something fishy and looks at his mobile waiting for Bran's support.

He looks a car behind his car and smiles "There you are".

He drives towards an isolated area and smirks the car following him behind almost mimicking his car's movements.

Within a few seconds of after reaching a secluded place, Lu Cheng gets out from his car and aims to shoot at that car's tyres.

Instantly, the car crashes on his car violently and Lu Cheng manages to break the window gla.s.s of driver seat.

He was taken aback seeing a girl leaving on the steering wheel.

Lu Cheng hears his mobile ringing and attends the call via his Bluetooth.

He pulls the girl back and gets shocked.

Tianxian says hurriedly "It's Ms. Han! Chief..She has been following you since you came out of Private Villa!".

Lu Cheng declares staring at Han Rouxi "Leave us alone for a while! And shut that laptop till I ask you to open again!".

Tianxian gets anxious and disappointed at the same time. However, he nods and ends the call. As a loyal employee, he shuts down the laptop half-heartedly.

Lu Cheng grits his teeth and throws the bluetooth device away irritated. He looks at her unconscious and opens the door.

'Wasn't she in Knight's captive?! How did she ?!'.

He checks for any injuries and gets relaxed realizing that she fainted out of sudden shock.

He tries to find a water bottle to wake her. He finds some water in a bottle and wakes her "Rouxi...".

Seeing her getting her conscious back, he takes his hand off from her face and looks at her sternly. Of course he was concerned as he was the one who shot at her car.

Not because he loved her madly once. Or not even for their former friends.h.i.+p. He doesn't know where those memories faded and how..He just feels nothing by seeing her now..but the betrayal and his single promise that he made years before.
