Lu Cheng caresses Tang Xi's hairs and lost in thoughts. He contemplates his life after Tang Xi's appearance into it.

After the accident three years back, he forgot only few hours of his memory. Not the whole day's incidents as Feng told. He had his own reasons to lie too. He couldn't believe anyone as his clan's hard earned dignity was at risk. Lu Constructions was at risk!.

He recalls the day.

New Year's Eve.

Lu Cheng got to know that his lab would be under attack in few hours and informed Han Rouxi to take the kid first which was created for a special purpose.

And there is some personal reason to ask her to take the kid personally too. Not only just because Lu Cheng loved her but also the kid was created from their own cells. So he felt that the kid would be safe in his or her custody.

He believed her equally as him.

Even though they weren't the biological parents, they are at least technical parents of the kid.

He had other important task to destroy the evidences as the researches had no proper permissions from the government.

Though the result of the research would save people, the method of it was still illegal.

So if the enemies get that doc.u.ments and lab, they can easily wipe out Lu Constructions from the entire country.

Lu Cheng couldn't afford such loss. So he personally went to the lab thinking that Rouxi would have saved the baby by now.

He took every important doc.u.ments and starts burning the lab. He was in great hurry to go back as he wanted to make sure that Rouxi and the kid were safe.

He got into the place where the kid was kept to ensure there was no important doc.u.ments left.

He stoned to see the kid in the incubator and the room is about to get fired. Some part of him was crushed at the moment.

He never faced so disheartened situation until that day!

He gasped shocked "Rouxi didn't come?!".

He was startled to hear the crying sound of the baby and runs to carry the baby hurriedly.

Probably Lu Cheng was scared to touch the kid as the kid was so small, so he covered the kid with his coat and thought of a way to escape.

He mumbles thinking "If I go through some private doors, the kid would be at risk as the path would be completely filled with fire or smoke".

Lu Cheng decides to get out via the front door. He guessed that the Knight's men would reach there at any moment.

Meanwhile, his head was literally throbbing to hear the baby's cry. He almost crossed the parking lot and opened his car door .

Lu Cheng stumbled getting a shot in his shoulder and still gets into the car hurriedly.

He starts the car and slams at the accelerator hurriedly as his prime motive now is to save the kid first.

However, his eyes were frost while thinking about the reason of creating this kid. He never thought that someday he too would taste the betrayal.

He hisses feeling the pain in his shoulder and curses stopping the car in a random place.

He holds his head frustrated as the baby is literally making him mad.

He checks for something in hurry and throws everything in anger. He takes a headphone with music player and puts it on the baby's ears and places the kid in back seat.

Instantly the baby stops crying and looks at him with wide eyes.

Lu Cheng holds his shoulder tired and chuckles seeing the baby "Lets get out of this h.e.l.l! I promise I would save you at any cost!".

He starts the engine and drives towards the City Z.

Lu Cheng takes the call and declares "I am getting out of the city".

Tianxian instructs "Yes Chief! I would inform you after checking which city would be safe".

Lu Cheng nods and looks back at the baby. Till now the baby is noticing him keenly through the rear view mirror.

Lu Cheng feels dizzy as he completely forgot to treat his wound before. The blood loss made him weak.

He realizes his grave fault and leans to the seat defeated. He tried his every ounce to drive and his last thought was 'Would some miracle happen to drag me out of this h.e.l.l? Why everything ended in a single day!?'.

In next second, the car hit a tree without his control and he was drifted into unconscious state by this accident now.

He was completely hurt his head..shoulder...and was exhausted mentally. His mind gets thought of the kid as he heard no sound of 'him'.

His blood drenched his face and he lost his final hope as the Knight's men would reach here in any minute.

He felt as if he was suffocated to death until he got a sound of something broken..may be some gla.s.s?.

His body didn't react to the sound but he subconsciously felt as if it was a dream which would disappoint him.

Hearing a sound, he felt it was his last call for him to get back.

Feeling the hand on his face, he drags himself from the h.e.l.l and clutches the hand tightly as if it was the last hope for him.

He couldn't hear what the person in front of him was talking but he tried his every ounce to speak for the last time before he loses his conscious again.

He grits his teeth "Help me...Save my kid".

Lu Cheng couldn't hear anything but feeling her pulling him, he understood that the person was trying to save him.

However, his first thought was to save the kid because if the kid gets into Knight's hands then Lu Cheng would be gone.

He would never think of saving his Constructions company after the world gets to know his dark secrets.

He pushes her weakly and tried saying everything so that the person would take the kid.
