Eastern Lake, Giant Continent.
Light dimmed and almost extinguished from the eye sockets of the skull in the totem in Tong's hand. The battlefield was frozen, and whenever a giant opened his mouth the expelled air would freeze, forming a small cloud of mist. Adding to the steam which was released from their bodies, the land was covered with layers of fog.
"Are you really crazy, Tong b.a.s.t.a.r.d ? Do you have to go this far, just for some collapsing large sized Barbarian tribe ?" Chief Fun asked.
The two Chiefs could not understand why Tong would go to such extent, even at the cost of losing his Totem's power. Even they, who were supposedly supporting the Barbarian Tun tribe just wanted to ride the wave and seek benefits. In reality, they didn't even know how the Barbarian Tun tribe looked like.
As the two Chiefs cursed they continued a.s.saulting Tong, who took hits every once in a while. The frost had slowed down the Fu and Gu tribes and were brutally beaten up by the bloodthirsty soldiers of Desolate Han. Chief Fun and Chief Gun furrowed their brows as they watched this scene between their fights, and decided to end Tong by paying a price. But Tong had read their intentions beforehand and smiled as he used his beloved Totem for the last time.
Colored light blasted out from the three totems held by the Chiefs, and collided with each other. Tong's Totem let out a tragic cry as it's eye sockets brightened up for the last time, burning it's energy reserves completely which had been acc.u.mulated after decades of gathering of beliefs.
An astonis.h.i.+ng explosion took place, and even the three Chiefs were blown away. The shock wave created damaged their internals as they were the closest to the explosion, and even the red berserkers and the Kamels who were far away immediately died.

A loud explosion jolted Yi awake, and her eyes hurt as mud entered her eyes as soon as she opened them. She quickly rubbed her eyes and viewed the battlefield. There was a large crater a little far away from her, and she spotted Tong and the other Chiefs crawling away from the depression. The other Chiefs seemed to be cursing Tong as they crawled away. There was a trace of frost in the battlefield, and she could sense both heat and cold in the air.
She searched for a few comrades and found Madam Yao among them, who instructed her to help Chief Tong. Yi snorted internally but obliged, dragging the beaten up Chief harshly. Tong did not complain and only laughed. They gathered the remaining Kamels and marched towards their tribe, which was half a day away.
The army of four hundred was reduced to hundred, and no one had to guess that the future of their tribe was extremely weak. Perhaps, they would no longer be able to call their tribe as 'Desolate', and might have to serve other tribes.
Night descended, and they made a small campfire with the small branches they could find. The army had a gloomy atmosphere, and everyone was depressed when they saw their Chief's condition.
Tong was totally battered, with innumerable wounds all over his body. A majority of them were internal, meaning his condition was far worse that he looked. More importantly, there was a smell of death over him.
The small fire illuminated his face, and he called out softly, attracting the attention of the Han people.
"Yi..."
Yi was startled and annoyed at the attention she got and looked at the Chief. The Chief slowly moved his arm and took out a scroll as he said.
"This is the last.... hope for the tribe...."
His voice grew weaker and everyone including Yi became worried.
"Chief, please rest..."
"Yes Chief, we will have fine alcohol when we reach home..."
The voice discontinued as Tong weakly waved his hand. Yi took the scroll in his hand, and the Chief said : "Yi shall be the next Chief....Madam Yao..."
The group was silent, and even Madam Yao took a few moments to respond.
"Don't worry, Chief. I shall guide her well."
The majority of the giants did not disagree, as Yi had the greatest potential to become an orange berserker in the least amount of time.
Tong lifted himself up and crawled backwards near a small rectangular stone and rested his body over it. With one leg holding his weight and other bent at an angle, he held his Totem and stabbed it in the ground and rested his arm over it. Even though the eyes of the Totem were dead, it still produced the same suppression it brought before.
Tong lifted his head and looked at his people with clear eyes. He gathering his remaining strength and spoke like a Chief for the last time.
"The Han .... shall....prevail !"
Finally life left his body, and his head lowered without strength...
The Chief Tong of the Desolate Han tribe of the Giants had pa.s.sed away.

Somewhere in the Giant Continent.
Tengoku Yokusei hid behind large rocks and watched a supply caravan travelling towards the Barbarian Tun tribe. He was astonished when he watched the items in the carriages. There were metal weapons, medicines, and even a small group of Dragon soldiers in the party. He furrowed his brows as he did not think the did not think the Dragons would send their precious soldiers for some savage Giants. After all, for the Dragon Emperor, even the Giant King was someone whom he could f*ck up whenever he wished.
Yokusei silently sent a signal, and the Devil soldiers pushed the large rocks by creating a wind behind them. The rocks flew towards the caravan and smashed a few carts, attracting the attention of the Dragons.
"Ambush !"
The leader of the Dragons, who was a middle aged man with a beard, shouted and leaped in the air with a pole in his hand. The pole was made of wood and had many rings with inscriptions over it. It was not an easy task to make it, as the inscriptions were sewn over the wooden pole without breaking it.
"Break !"
Beard Uncle shouted, and smashed his pole against an arriving rock. The pole trembled a little before sending a large shock wave into the rock, shattering it.
Yokusei widened his eyes and cursed loudly.
"F*ck ! Why do we have someone with a legendary weapon here !"
He immediately leaped out to cover his team members who had started destroying the goods.
"Kill these Devil dogs !" Beard Uncle shouted, and smashed his pole in the direction of the incoming Devils who were still descending. The pole trembled once again and a shock wave traveled through the entire ground. The land shattered and collapsed, making the Devil soldiers fall. The Dragons made use of this opportunity and released their sharp swords from their sheaths.
"d.a.m.n."
Yokusei cursed again and rubbed his head. This was his first battle and he could already see his mission failing. He pulled out his spear and injected Profound Energy into it. He felt the familiar sensation of Profound Energy travelling through his arms near his palms, and being released from his palms into the spear. His spear was made of a special alloy, and could withstand high temperatures. The blade of the spear turned red from the heat, and the air surrounding it distorted.
During this time Beard Uncle did not waste his time as he attacked the intruding Devils. Each of his smack from the pole tore the Devil soldiers into shreds. Even if they used their swords they would shatter into countless fragments. Suddenly he was struck by a ball of fire and blown away. His beard and all hair on his face burnt away, revealing an ugly baby face.
"Mages !" He cursed under his breath. The mages stood at a distance over a safe height and it wasn't easy to kill them. They kept hara.s.sing him by throwing b.a.l.l.s of fire or lightning. At this moment Yokusei sprinted towards him with a red spear in his hand. Beard Uncle who had lost his beard laughed and used his pole as a spear to face his opponent.
The two weapons collided, and unsurprisingly the spear shattered into fragments, and the hot fragments. .h.i.t many soldiers wounding them seriously. However the pole trembled and produced a whine, which sounded like a cry from a baby.
Beard Uncle, who now had lost his beard, became troubled as he felt his control loosed over his weapon. He had lost the synchronous feeling with the pole, and could not understand what the pole was trying to convey.
One of the hot spear fragments had hit Tengoku Yokusei's shoulder, turning him useless. He quickly glanced at the carriage, and after a.s.suring that a majority of the goods have been destroyed signaled his men to retreat. The mages covered the Devil soldiers, and they quickly escaped.
Beard Uncle, who now had lost his beard, could do nothing but watch the retreating Devils while holding the trembling pole.
