Back then when Giselle agreed to work at KeyLine publication, Shane Ricardo sent her a message early morning. It was specified in the message that Giselle can take time until she finds a school for Lia to attend. After that, Giselle will receive a joining date to officially join KeyLine publication. Shane requested her to update him once everything is settled. As per his request, Giselle decided to give Shane her update.
...
"h.e.l.lo, Mr. Ricardo?" Giselle spoke first.
"Ah, Giselle. How are you?" Shane quickly replied. Their conversation went on.
"I'm fine Mr. Ricardo. I have something to tell you. Is this a good time?"
"Of course. Go on Giselle. Tell me. Is there something you need help with?"
"Ah, no Mr. Ricardo. I... well, today I went back to my old school and my daughter, Lia seemed to like it. So I got her an admission already. She'll be starting school from Wednesday."
"Wow, congratulation Giselle. Wait..." Shane paused. His mind immediately went back in time when he a.s.sured to help Giselle. Thinking about it Shane felt miserable. He did put a word at few places that he could find, but there were no responses. He didn't know how to respond to Giselle. On the other hand, Giselle felt Shane agonizing.
"Mr. Ricardo. Please don't feel bad. You did help me but it's just that one of my close friends works at my old school. I thought Lia studying there would be comfortable in case if I'm unavailable to pick her up, my friend might take care of her. That was the main reason behind my decision. So, please don't stress out. You have already helped me out a lot." Giselle tried to comfort him, which worked.
Shane did agree to her decision. However, he wasn't able to continue the conversation without apologizing.
"I'm sorry, Giselle. I did tell you that I will help. But I haven't received a word back from any of them. Anyways, it's good to know that Lia will be in good hands." Shane felt relieved.
"Mr. Ricardo, the reason that I'm calling you now is to know my starting date." Giselle requested.
"Ah, yes. Hmm... give me a second." Shane put her on hold.
A few seconds later, Shane put on back online to reveal Giselle's starting date.
"Giselle, I would like you to report to me on Thursday morning at KeyLine Publication. I'll give you till Wednesday since Lia might need you on her first day." Shane decided.
"Sounds good. I will see you on Thursday, Mr. Ricardo." Giselle agreed. "If there's nothing else, I will end the call, Mr. Ricardo," Giselle asked.
"Hmm... that's it. Just remember to be on time on Thursday. That will be all. Now, take care." Shane ended the call.
Giselle felt a huge amount of pressure since it will be her new job with one of the top best writer. Regardless, she prepared herself for the challenge.
