Everyone a.s.sembled at the Library to spend the literature period as the teacher in charge was absent. The Students seen scattered around various sections browsing through the books. The rule of not interacting and making noise inside the library strictly followed.

When Giselle entered, she could see no one found at a specific place. Of course, Bridgette and her friends were seated apart still able to mutter within themselves despite the rules. The girls noticed Giselle, especially, Bridgette. She gave out a murderous glare terrifying the poor girl right off the bat.

Giselle exhaled as she walked away to find a perfect spot to complete the a.s.signment. In general, the library is open to students who want to finish their work. However, it is only allowed during free hours.

Regan, the literature staff, has given a message stating that the students should spend time reading books instead of playing around or doing something else. The librarian in charge of watching the cla.s.s had announced the students to read books. Hence, anyone found not obeying will be punished with detention. The students are allowed to read any kinds of books of their own choice.

Soon, Giselle found a section that wasn't visited by any of the students. It was the old literature division that held books from good olden days. Most of the students preferred to read the latest novels, comics, and so on. One could say that they all ignored this particular section which might appeal boring.

The old literature section resides posteriorly at a corner of the library. To reach the place itself will take time and effort. The area held four large shelves to carry the books: two at the front and back forming a square to tour.

Giselle cornered herself at the rear shelf. Luckily, she spotted a bench with lots of books on its one end. Giselle sat on the other edge. She started working on the unfinished a.s.signment.

Within the next few minutes, Giselle felt another presence lurking around the front shelves of the old literature section. She got spooked. Fear took over her as her eyes explored to find this person. Giselle won't get caught but, traces of the person exposed their ident.i.ty, at least to Giselle.

Within a second, Giselle figured out who it was.

Lillian Grey.

The girl wore a black jean with a pastel blue striped s.h.i.+rt. Her hair tied up to a knot, making her look like she belonged to the cool crew. Giselle noted Lillian's face lit up in excitement browsing the section and examining the books.

Out of nowhere, Giselle's heart eased in relief. Her fears vanished into thin air as she relaxed, eyes still gazing at Lillian. Deep inside her heart, she ached. The poor girl only wished to see that smile Lillian posed.

Soon, all that stare reminded Giselle of Bridgette and her friends.

Quickly, she returned to her job, completing the a.s.signment.

Giselle focused on writing.

The dusty section now intruded by two beings; one adorned the other while the other indulged into the world of fiction. There was no noise but, silence alone traversed along with the air. The two girls did their jobs without interrupting each other.

...

Lillian, Anna, and Diego arrived at the library soon after a few students. Diego went straight to the comic section. Anna wanted to read books on fas.h.i.+on, and Lillian wanted to read novels. They all parted to their sites.

Lillian knew the old literature section located at the back of the library. She had been there many times as the way to reach it remained easy for her.

Shortly, she reached the section, and it remains dusty. Lillian made a plea to the library staff to clean the area but, no one had done it yet.

But it didn't matter to the girl as she got excited from just being there, witnessing the books. Curiosity took over as Lillian looked different now. She appeared like a baby seeing its mother; all happy and excited.

Lillian scanned through the section, often glancing at the index of few books that caught her interest. She was only exploring the first half. Her racing heart halted when suddenly she could get a glimpse of another figure at the back end.

At first, Lillian seemed surprised to know that there's someone else who's interested in old literature. She wanted to know who that person was, as she toured her way to get a precise look.

Her movements stopped as she found that person to be Giselle.

Lillian froze on her spot, holding a book on her hand, still opened.

Her heart raced over the top. She couldn't handle it, and her mood changed, from shock to anger instantly.

Raging anger burst out from seeing this person. It is then she recalled Anna's advice about moving on. Lillian breathed. She turned back avoiding the girl's presence, shunning her out.

Nevertheless, Lillian's mind couldn't focus on the book but only at Giselle's presence. It killed her to move on. Finally, giving up, Lillian moved to the back shelf opposite to where Giselle's seated. Casually, she looked in between the gaps, gazing at this girl who came in like a storm into her life.

Lillian's anger faded and she became eager to know the reason for this sudden change. A sense of mixed feelings rose inside Lillian's heart.

Moreover, Giselle looked peaceful writing on her notebook. Lillian glanced at her face; calm and quiet. It is then she thought if Giselle had already noticed her or not. Well, it didn't matter. Lillian played skillfully. She held a book in her hand as if trying to focus reading it when in reality she would offer glances at Giselle.

Her hair looked pretty messed up but not explicit. She sat on the bench which carried a few dozens of books on its one end. Giselle wore a skirt exposing her pale skin underneath and a matching blouse. It fitted her perfectly. Lillian appeared to have lost herself in admiring this girl.

After a while, When Lillian felt wicked for being a stalker, she moved ahead to focus on books, this time. She let the girl do her job while indulging into the world of fictions.

Once again it was peaceful; no one disturbed the other and worked on individually.
