"Lia, turn off your game, we'll be landing now." her mother Giselle said. "It'll be over in two minutes mother, let me finish this level alone" Lia begged. Giselle made sure that her daughter turned off the game. Meanwhile, the flight had landed safely.
"Welcome to New York" hearing those words Giselle felt nostalgic.
"I'm back", Giselle whispered to herself. Lia saw her mother in awe but couldn't help teasing as she said: "WE... are back, mother." Lia giggled in joy. Giselle smiled and gently patted Lia's head. "Come on let's get our luggage and head on to our new apartment," Giselle said. "Let's order pizza for celebration" Lia jumped happily.
Both of them picked their luggage and went to board a cab. Lia kept looking at the window and wondered how busy and lively the city was. She questioned, "Mom was it always like this?" Giselle smiled and replied, "Always, all days". She couldn't stop being proud of her hometown. Lia behaved like a kid coming to a theme park for the first time. Lia was always an energetic kid. She loves to explore and play all the time. This is something she inherited from her father. The curiosity and love for adventure. Giselle felt that moving to another country would disturb her child mentally, but Lia handled it like a mature adult.
They both arrived at their new apartment. Before paying the driver, Lia popped a question to the cab driver. "Sir, do you know the best place to order Pizza in this area?" The cab driver gave them few outlets that he believed to have been the best place for pizza. Lia thanked him for his help.
The apartment was not too big. It was compact and fitted the mother and her daughter. It had two rooms and Lia rushed to pick her own room. Meanwhile, Giselle was holding onto this one outlet and kept looking at it. After a few seconds, she sighed and called them. She ordered a single large pizza with extra cheese. By the time the pizza was delivered, Giselle was able to unpack few of their belongings.
"Lia, come on let's eat. Pizza's here" Giselle called on her daughter. Lia flew from her room, jumped and landed directly in front of the pizza. "Extra Cheese?" she asked. "Yes," Giselle replied. Lia took a slice and the cheese stretched long wild. "Aaah....yeah…..the best. Let me taste" Lia was eager to taste the hot pizza. She took a bite and let out the hot air while chewing the delicious pizza. Nearby there were few sprite cool drink bottles. She took one of them out and raised it above to make a toast.
"Welcome back home, mother. Let's meet all your friends here and have a welcome party with them." Lia made the toast. Giselle lifted her eyebrow and sneered as she said, "We'll see". Lia kept begging her mother to introduce her friends. Seeing her daughter's face, Giselle couldn't help but give in to her request. She agreed to have a welcome party.
That night both of them made their toast and gulped down their large pizza together.
