One Night With The Prince 4 We Meet Again

Alexa was practically slaving herself for the whole week. She was initially supposed to be an a.s.sistant, but she became other than that.

The original request was for an a.s.sistant to handle the daily schedule for the duration the guest was in town, no more no less.

However, that had changed when the guest had met Alexa. Especially after that encounter with Prince Alexander. Alexa's temporary boss saw potential within her and wanted to explore the possibility of grooming her as one of her talents.

Instead of Alexa a.s.sisting with the daily schedules. The guest had hired another person to do the job. She had Alexa shadow her in all of her meetings to see what she needed to do when the time comes.

The guest was not precisely a foreigner. She was born in that Country and currently living in another. She was invited to be in the panel of judges for the upcoming beauty contest.

At first, she was hesitant, but due to the recent success of the contestant winning the compet.i.tion from this particular Country. She had decided to come and discuss the possibility and hope in the process she could scout one to become her talent.

Her decision was not a mistake, she found one, and she would do everything in her power to get her signed before she goes back home.

While Alexa was shadowing the foreign guest, she learns the ins and outs of the beauty pageant. It's crucial for her to learn for her future in the industries.

She knows deep in her heart that she has a long way to go, but she's determined to accomplish this dream even if it kills her.

The week came and ended, finally it was the end of Alexa's shadowing the foreign lady. As much as she loves the job, it was very tiring and had consumed so much of her energy.

"Alexa, if you have time tonight I would like to have dinner with you to discuss something. Are you available?" Her boss asked her with sincerity on her voice.

"Mam? Yes, Madam! I'm available. 'Even if I'm not, I would make sure I become one. hehe!' Alexa thought while giving her best smile that she had been practicing for a long time.

"Good! Don't worry about dressing up; I want you to come back here around 3:p.m. that should give us enough time."

Alexa was thinking to herself about the time her temporary boss indicated. "Madam isn't 3:00 p.m. a little early to have dinner? Just wondering." She asked with an eye full of curiosity.

"Just come back around that time, you'll soon find out why, alright!" She said it a little irritably.

Alexa saw it right away and rectify the situation. "Yes! Mam, I'll be here at 3:00 p.m. precisely. Not before, and especially not later. If nothing else, I will be on my way then." She gives her a respectful bow then left proudly.

The foreign lady had a half smile on her face when Alexa left.

What she's planning today would show if she's correct or not with her a.s.sumption. This would be a test for Alexa, whether she would get signed as talent or not.

Alexa was standing at the bus stop when her cousin Andrea called. She fumbled with her cell phone and almost dropped it before she was able to answer. Luckily someone was speedy to catch it before it falls and shutter to the ground.

"Thank you!" Alexa said quickly after receiving her phone from a stranger.

"No big deal, It's a good thing it didn't drop. It would have been shuttered to pieces for sure." The stranger was trying to make small talk.

"Yup! Man, I would have been in deep s.h.i.+t with my grandma, if the had happened." She replied calmly.

"Alexa, you didn't recognize me, don't you?" The stranger excitedly asked her.

Alexa looks at the stranger straight face without blinking. She a.s.sessed him, first his face, then she backed up a little ready to bolt. "Man, if I had done something to offend you or something, I'm sorry ok!" Terror was clearly showing on Alexa's face, but she's still ready to fight.

"Hahaha! You haven't changed a bit, your still a tomboy. But you sure cleaned up pretty well though." The stranger banters.

"Wait a minute, do we know each other from the past or something? How come I don't recognize you at all?" Alexa said it a little loud.

"Hahaha! of course, you wouldn't recognize me anymore. The last time you saw me was when I was 12 years old, and I was on a skinny side. Plus I had braces and thick eyegla.s.ses then." He gave Alexa a wide grin showing straight pearly white teeth.

"My braces were gone, and I had a Lasik done, so no more gla.s.ses either. Plus I worked out, so I'm pretty baff, see!"

Alexa looked at him once again, she looks, and looks, and looks. Then something hit her from what he had said. "Ramon!!! Oh my G.o.d! Is it you? How could that the be? Hahaha!"

"I told you back then before I left for America that someday, will meet again. And here I am."

Alexa got excited, she jumps at Ramon and hugs him, "Hahaha! I can't believe it's you and you kept your promise that will meet again."

Ramon was stunned unable to say a word. He stands still rooted to the ground speechless. With nervous looks on his face.

Alexa couldn't believe that the person in front of her is the same childhood friend that left for America when she was only seven years old. She was devastated when Ramon said his goodbye; the only comforting words were, we will meet again I promise! That was his parting words, and she kept that in her heart all these years.

Once all the excitement was over, she remembers their happy and sad time, and she couldn't help herself and tears started building in her eyes. Alexa pushed Ramon a little so she can be face to face with him. She looks him straight in his eye, she then started punching his chest with tears flowing on her beautiful face.

"Where have you been? *Pow, pow, pow.* You're so mean you know that? I waited for your letters all these years, and none came. What happened?" Alexa bombarded him with the question while tears running down her face and some snot coming out of her nose.

"Hahaha! Slow down, gosh, what's with this..." Ramon pulls out a handkerchief from his pocket, and instead of handing it to her, he wipes her tears first then the snot that was slowly dripping from her nose.

"You haven't changed at all you know that! I still have to wipe your snots just like when we were still a kid. You might taller now and looks like a girl, but you're still the same. Hahaha!" Ramon was so happy that she accepted her back just like he never left at all.

Alexa remembers she's supposed to be on the way home, and her cousin was calling her. She looks around and checks if she had missed the bus. It seems not, 'that's good' she thought.

"How do you know it's me and how did you find me?" She asked Ramon curiously.

"Oh! About that, well... that's a long story, and I don't think this is the right place for us to discuss it. Are you on your way home? I have a car; you want a ride?" Ramon was looking at her with pleading eyes.

Alexa's eye widens s.h.i.+ning brightly with his offer of a ride in a car. "Wow! You're a big shot now; you even have a car. That's good, that's great. Hope you're sticking around for a while so I can ask a favor of you. hahaha!" Alexa laughs out loud.

Ramon just gave her a half smiles then ushered her to the direction of the car across the street.

Ramon opened the door for Alexa like a boyfriend more than a guy friend. Once she hops in and seated, he helped her with her seatbelt very gently. His palm was sweating from nervousness.

However, Alexa was different it doesn't seem to bother her to be near a man at all. She happily smiled at him "Thank you! My best friend."

"Your welcome! Anytime, it's my pleasure." Ramon replied shyly and hurriedly finished with the seatbelt, closed the door and when to the driver side.

"Here we go!" He steps on the gas, s.h.i.+fted the gear then drove off to the direction of Alexa's home.

The eerie sound of silence was deafening to Alexas ear. She needed to break the silence, it's becoming awkward, and they still have about 30 minutes drive before they arrive at her home.

"Ramon, can I ask you a question?" Alexa started with a question.

"Sure, what is it?"

"After so many years of silence, why did you suddenly look me up?"

"As I said, it's a long story, and it wasn't a right place and time to speak about it. But if you must know, I look you up because I need your help." He said it in a low voice almost a whisper.

Alexa looks at Ramon with a question clearly showing in her eyes. "Tell me! If I can be of help, I would do my best." She gives him the sweetest smile.

Ramon's heart was beating so fast that his foot pushed the gas pedal a little more and the car speeds a little faster than the speed limit.

"You see, I'm Engaged... and that's where you come in."
