Modesty thought about calling HuaHua to come with her but decided against it. It would seem a little weird to have your a.s.sistant with you when coming to question people about your dead parents. Plus, she didn't think that Su Jin Wei would like a third party around for this meeting. Modesty finally decided on a green and blue dress she'd brought and pulled her hair up and clipped it with her favorite b.u.t.terfly clip.
Modesty's had just finished brus.h.i.+ng her teeth when her phone dinged and she looked to see that she had a message from Su Jin Wei. He was letting her know that he was in front of her hotel. Modesty headed down, she had to hope that what she was wearing was okay.
Su Jin Wei sat in the black Maybach wondering what his parents would say when they saw Modesty. They missed her deeply and had wanted to take her in as their adopted daughter when her parents died, but her Aunt and Uncle swooped in and spirited her away. They called and wrote but her aunt and uncle wouldn't allow her to speak to them saying it would be too harsh on her emotionally. It had been eight long years without her, especially for him. But now she was back, and he was going to make sure that she remembered everything, especially him.
Su Jin Wei waited and looked out of the window ever so often. Then when he looked a final time he saw Modesty walk out of the hotel toward his Maybach, his driver and bodyguard Song Lei scrambled out of the car to open the door. Su Jin Wei was always in awe of Modesty, her cinnamon colored skin just gleamed in the sunlight.
Her beautiful body was encased in a beautiful green and blue babydoll dress. Her long black hair was pinned back with a, Su Jin Wei froze. She was wearing a huge blue and silver b.u.t.terfly clip in her hair with tiny diamonds all along the wings. Su Jin Wei remembered the clip, he had bought it for her fourteenth birthday, he had the match to it at his home. He had planned to give it to her for her sixteenth birthday, but never got the chance.
When he first gave it to her, she hugged him and kissed his cheek, she wore it all the time. And, she told him that no matter what she would never stop wearing it. Now even with her memory loss, she remembered her promise.
