Leng Yihuang did not feel embarra.s.sed for his petty action was found, gave an unperturbed smile, showing his teeth, and said, “Thank you.”

Lin Xiaomi was shocked by the smile. To tell the truth, she had never seen a man with such a bright smile.

He was indeed like a handsome demon!

Thinking so in her heart, Lin Xiaomi raised her hand and felt her nose, for fear that she would have a nosebleed for seeing the handsome man.

Finally, Lin Xiaomi supported Leng Yihuang to the sickbed. Before she could take a breath, he asked, “You must be tired. I’m heavy.”

Lin Xiaomi waved her hands politely, and replied, “Nope.”

“Are you sure? Then please fetch a basin of water to rub me down. It’s so hot.”

Lin Xiaomi, “…” She was just out of politeness to say so, but he really took her as a nursing a.s.sistant!

Leng Yihuang cast a glance at her, with a sigh that was neither too heavy nor too light, “Well, I have said you are not suit...”

Before the word “suitable” was spoken, Lin Xiaomi had already rushed into the toilet to fetch water.

To rub him down!

Lin Xiaomi felt like being about to have a nosebleed this time.

They had only known each other for less than 48 hours, but now, she was about to scrub at the man’s body.

Forget it. Lin Xiaomi comforted herself in the heart. Take him as a piece of pork instead a man.

Just regard it as was.h.i.+ng the pigskin.

Leng Yihuang did not know what Lin Xiaomi think, or he would kick her out of the window. Who was the pork?!

It was inevitable for Lin Xiaomi to see the man’s figure, which was in perfect proportion and attractive. Eight pieces of abdominal muscles were just under the robust chest, and the messy sc.r.a.pes on his body made him more masculine.

Lin Xiaomi gave his body a rough rubdown, then she rushed out of the room before she could pour the water.

She went to the window, letting the wind mess her hair. The temperature on her face was so high that she was on the verge of spontaneous combustion.

At this point, her mobile phone rang. She saw that it was from Wen Jing and answered.

“Xiaomi, why don’t you come to work today?! The editor was angry!”

Lin Xiaomi slapped own forehead. Today was so messed up that she forgot to ask for a leave.

“I had a car accident. Please help me ask the editor for a leave and tell him I will go to work in several days.”

Hearing her words, Wen Jing cried, “Car accident?? How are you? Are you ok?”

“I’m fine,” Lin Xiaomi answered feebly.

She was fine. It was someone else who was injured.

Lin Xiaomi was in low spirit. She told Wen Jing to be at ease and hung up the phone. She summoned her courage and went back to the ward. After cleaning up the water stains on the floor, she went out to buy him lunch.

Leng Yihuang looked at the fast food in front of him with eyebrows knitted closely together.

“What is this?” He felt sick just looking at it. What was this black thing?!

“What's wrong? It’s fast food,” Lin Xiaomi didn’t know what was wrong with the food. Braised eggplant and spareribs with potatoes were a nutritious match with both meat and vegetables.

Leng Yihuang had nothing to say.

He had no appet.i.te for them, so he only had a little rice, which at least made him not so hungry.

However, Lin Xiaomi became worried. She asked him, “Why do you eat so little? How will your body recover if you have little food?”

Leng Yihuang replied weakly, “It tastes awful. I don’t feel like eating it.”

Lin Xiaomi could find no way out. She had to go home in the afternoon and cooked for him in the evening.

She made bean curd mixed with chopped green onion, stewed pork ribs with yam and delicious chicken soup which was simmered for a long while on slow fire.

“Would you like to try some? You need to eat more and your body will recover faster.”

“You made them by yourself?” Leng Yihuang tasted some and they were good.

“Yeah,” Lin Xiaomi was pleased with herself when she found Leng Yihuang’s eyes brightened. She was quite sure about her cooking skills.

“Have more if you like,” she thought simply. She hoped him to recover as soon as possible, so that they would not owe each other and she would be free since then.

But she did not know what Leng Yihuang thought at this moment was that, she had such good cooking skills that if he stayed in her home later, he would not worry about the meal.
