Leng Yihuang lazily took his fingers back and said with a stony face while not looking at her, "Do you recover from your cold? Do you feel comfortable?"
Lin Xiaomi had thought that he was caring about her, so she said shaking her head like a rattle-drum, "I feel comfortable and get a full recovery."
He said with a nod, "I'm hungry."
She instantly knew his meaning and said, "What do you want to eat? I'll make it right away as long as you're not mad at me."
"Potato pies."
"Okay!"
She had thought that his temper would be gone when the potato was finished, but she never expected that he didn't want to eat the potato pie at all and just wanted to make her suffer.
"This one is too salty."
"This one tastes mild."
"The shredded potatoes are thick."
"This one is too thin."
"The color of this one looks ugly."
"This one isn't round enough."
d.a.m.n it! It wasn't round enough!!
How dare he say that it wasn't round enough!
Did he use a pencil compa.s.s to make a potato pie?
No matter how good-tempered she was, she felt a little angry.
Seeing her furious face, he casually said with a sneer, "I don't want to eat potato pies anymore. Please fry meatb.a.l.l.s for me."
As long as he thought that she shouted at him because of that little goldfish, he had felt depressed.
Now, he felt a little comfortable upon seeing her who was p.i.s.sed off but didn't dare to shout at him anymore.
She pointed at him with a slice in her hand but turned around to enter the kitchen when seeing that he was unhappy with his brows wrinkled.
She was a money addict and fell short of money, so she chose to comprise.
Even if she knew he was causing her trouble, she still did what he asked.
But, deep down, she felt aggrieved.
Leisurely sitting on the sofa, he unexpectedly played with Little Nipper beside him and praised that what it did was good.
"Bang!" A noise suddenly arose from the kitchen, followed by her shouts, which startled him to jump off the sofa.
"What's up?"
The moment he entered the kitchen, he saw that the slice was on the ground and she covered her fingertip with a pale face.
"What happened?" He pulled her hand at one swoop and saw a cut on her fingertip, from which the blood was out.
"I cut my finger, but I'm fine," said she with her teeth gnashed. As soon as she finished talking, she felt her fingertip was enveloped by a gush of damp heat.
She looked at him with surprise who put her fingertip into his mouth.
Wasn't he a clean freak? Didn't he find it dirty?
After a while, he spat out the blood and placed her hand under the tap to wash.
His eyebrows were so wrinkled that they could pinch an ant to death.
"Well, I'm fine." He hugged her from behind and entirely held her into his arms.
She could inhale nothing but his exclusive breath, which made her heart beat fast, especially for his action just now.
"It doesn't matter. It's only a small cut." She subconsciously wanted to get rid of his arms.
He embraced her to stop her actions. "You've bled out too much. How can you say it doesn't matter?"
He carefully cleaned up her fingertip and found his heart ached upon seeing this tiny cut.
"How stupid you are! How could you cut your fingertip?" said he in a strong tone, but he targeted at himself, not her.
Why did he say that he wanted to eat meatb.a.l.l.s? As a result, she cut herself.
Eyebrows furrowed, he stuck a Band-aid on her fingertip with a darkened face.
"Are you in pain?" asked he with his lips puckered. Subsequently, he placed her fingertip beside his mouth before blowing on her fingertip.
The heat touch made her s.h.i.+ver, so she subconsciously took her hand back.
She could still feel the warmth on her fingertip.
"Okay. I go to cook." She was at a loss and turned around, wanting to leave here.
He pulled her back with one action and said, "You're hurt, so you can't cook."
His strength was strong, so she couldn't keep her feet and fell into his arms.
He subconsciously stretched his hands out to hug her.
As she raised her head, and he lowered his head, his lips, by coincidence, hit her nose.
With the face to face, they could count each other's eyelashes.
He fixed his profound eyes on her rosy lips.
She unconsciously wanted to get rid of him, but he tightened his arms like two iron arms around her, so she couldn't get away from him.
Then, she saw his mouth getting closer and closer and land on her mouth.
In the magazine-
At the end of the afternoon, w.a.n.g Feng walked over and said to Lin Xiaomi, "You follow up Wei Linlin tonight. My mother's birthday falls on today, so I don't have time. You do it alone."
She felt quite speechless.
"How many mothers do you have?" She remembered that he used this excuse several months ago.
w.a.n.g Feng said calmly, "My mother-in-law is also my mother!"
She wanted to flip her teacup onto his head. What kind of person he was!
Wen Jing shrugged with sympathy. "Good luck!"
d.a.m.n it!
Lin Xiaomi was p.i.s.sed off. As journalist a.s.sistants, why was Wen Jiang a.s.signed to Liu Shuang who was gentle and considerate while she was a.s.signed to such a rascal?
Instead of teaching her something useful, w.a.n.g Feng always blamed her for the mistakes.
Complaints were one thing, but working was another thing.
In the evening, she went alone to follow Wei Linlin.
After all, she didn't want to go back early, for she felt embarra.s.sed to see Leng Yihuang after that noon.
She didn't even know how to face him.
She eventually believed that he didn't treat her as his good friend.
Since she had work to do tonight, she had a good excuse to go back after he fell asleep.
She was lucky tonight, for she found something interesting.
She saw Wei Linlin get in a house car, change two cars halfway, and enter a high-end club after crossing half of the city.
She then knew she would obtain an exclusive story tonight while seeing so many limos parked outside of the club.
Each journalist a.s.sistant was likely to be a formal journalist if they could get an exclusive story.
She seemed to have seen that her salary was doubled.
When Wei Linlin got inside, she hurriedly got off her car and tried to get inside.
But, she was stopped by two tough guys standing outside of the club.
"Are you VIP of our club?"
She closed her eyes first, then raised her head, and said with her brows wrinkled and an impatient face, "Are you blind? Didn't you see that I got off the car with Linlin but answered a phone outside? Do you suffer face-blindness? Stay out of my way! You should be aware of Wei Linlin's bad temper. Her cosmetic bag is still in my hands. If any delay is made, and she loses her temper, you'll be laid off."
The two guys hesitated for a while, and she knew she could get inside. Pus.h.i.+ng them away, she rolled her eyes at them and walked inside.
