“Surprised by the big noise, I came to have a look, but what on earth did you do to this tea set? It was a high-cla.s.s item from Garen region, you know?”
Seeing the maid whose blood visibly drew from her face and whose body was trembling, Tinaria stepped forward to protect her.
“I am sorry for causing trouble. That…, because she collided with me, she ended up falling.”
At Tinaria’s response, Bellard chuckled. From the beginning, she was thinking about blaming this Lidea’s woman in a place where the eyes of men could not reach. She was murmuring in her mind that it was saving her the trouble of finding a pretext for only having protected a maid.
“Well, it broke into pieces because of Lidea’s Princess, is that so?”
The maid who was asked this question for confirmation, nodded slowly, while having a blue face. Doing so, Tinaria felt rather relieved. If the responsibility were to be attributed to a newly recruited maid, she probably wouldn’t just lose her job, but also carry a large debt. Bellard, who targeted Tinaria, would no longer punish the young maid.
“As expected, Lidea’s women are savages.”
“What on earth will you do to take responsibility? This object is not something you can get your hands on easily you know?”
“You are not going to use the money of your country, because you are a Crown Princess, are you?”
While the surrounding followers began to make a commotion, Tinaria directly bowed her head to Bellard.
“I have no money on my own, so I cannot reimburse it. To make up for it, I can do whatever you ask me to do. My request is impudent, but could you please forgive this matter?”
At her words, Bellard hid her smile of satisfaction behind her folding fan.
“That is right, this amount of money cannot be covered with your work, but I forgive you. Since it seems you are very skilled for cleaning, will you accept to work as a maid during tea breaks?”
The words of Bellard made the people around sneer boisterously. Criticized while picking up the broken pieces from the tea set, unreserved words poured on her like seeing her kneel on the floor suited her, or her dress was just like the clothes of a maid. But for Tinaria, it was not something painful. Bellard snorted, not pleased at the Crown Princess showing acceptance with a gentle smile.
At the tea break which started at the terrace, Tinaria devoted herself to serve the whole time without having time to sit. Among the partic.i.p.ants, some of them were surprised at her perfect refined gestures and her ability to make tea, but most of them were left with a sour taste in their mouth for being looked down by Tinaria. Those persons were the savage royalties of Lidea. Those persons, once again, were particularly conceited and despised when a person was more beautiful than themselves.
