Chapter 14.1: They Meet

[Blue mystical energy?]

A mystic power wielder has nine grades in ascending order, starting from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, black and white, nine different colours representing the different levels, and the intensity of the colour in the wielder's mystical energy level.

The light blue mystical energy indicated that its wielder was in the initial stages of the Mystic Sovereign.

Not allowing Duanmu Xi time to think, blue mystical energy blasts came hurtling towards her without mercy, and it was becoming too much for her to take.

"Water s.h.i.+eld"

With a sharp command, water spirit energy turned into a blue barricade, appearing before Duanmu Xi in an instant.

Hearing Duanmu Xi's voice, the person inside the cave quickly retracted his attack.

The thick stench of blood a.s.saulted her nose and Duanmu Xi's brows knitted together as she went walking into the cave.

It gradually grew brighter as she walked inside and at the back of the cave, Duanmu Xi saw a peerlessly handsome youth dressed in a black robe.

The youth looked to be about seventeen or eighteen years of age and he had his eyes closed. He was seated cross legged and steadying his breathing, a sliver of bright red blood trickling down the corner of his mouth, his face a little pale. But even with his eyes closed, it did not conceal the kingly aura that emanated out from his very bones.

It had not been thought that the person would be so young. Didn't Lan Ze say that Mystic Sovereigns in these Constellation Lands were usually about fifty to sixty years old? Lan Ze burst out in a bout of cold sweat in the dimensional s.p.a.ce. He had indeed said that was usually the case, and this youth was definitely anything but ordinary!

Feeling Duanmu Xi's probing eyes appraising him, the youth suddenly opened his eyes.

It was a pair of deep penetrating eyes bright like the starry skies, the clear amber irises pure and absorbing.

The pairs of eyes met, and Duanmu Xi's heart was slightly taken aback.

[What familiar looking eyes. She seems to have seen them somewhere before.]

At the same time that Duanmu Xi was looking at Xuanyuan M appraisingly, Xuanyuan Mo was also looking at Duanmu Xi.

[Haven't seen her for a year and she has grown up quite a bit, and taller as well. A pair of limpid deep purple eyes that could almost speak, that made one unable to help themselves but fall immersed in their depths.

The two people stood there looking at each other silently, neither one of them saying a word.

Their gazes remain locked for a while, and Duanmu Xi then went walking over to the side of the fire, proceeding to go to sleep.

Her intuition told her that the youth would not move to strike her anymore, or he wouldn't have pulled back on his attacks when she came in earlier despite having to suffer backlash.

In almost no time at all, the sound of Duanmu Xi's steady breathing could be heard in the cave.

Xuanyuan Mo stared speechlessly at Duanmu Xi's tiny sleeping face, his brows creasing up slightly.

[She's fallen asleep just like that. Feeling much at ease isn't she?]

Seeing Duanmu Xi's snowy white wrists and the slender smooth calves exposed, Xuanyuan Mo's handsome looking face blushed a slight pink and he turned his face away, not daring to look at her anymore.

After a while, Xuanyuan Mo then clutched at his chest lightly and came walking softly over to Duanmu Xi's side. He took off his outer coat and gently covered Duanmu Xi with it.

In the dimensional s.p.a.ce, Lan Ze felt Xuanyuan Mo approach and he immediately grew alert. But the strong and powerful wave of pressure that washed over him so suddenly made it impossible for him to move.
