After weight-bearing flights for several days, Qingfu made some progress. At least, she wouldn't throw somebody off as before. But this was also because the one who was sitting on her back was Tianhan, who she cared most about and was unwilling to throw away.
The day after hanging over in the sky for some laps, Tianhan finally agreed to let her enter the next training course. "A good ride should learn more than flying. You should have other courses, though I still don't have any idea what kind of exams you should take. You'd better train yourself in all aspects."
Qingfu listened carefully and nodded all the time.
Tianhan shook his hand and a jade plate suddenly appeared in it, green and of superior quality. "I will put this little plate somewhere in the three realms. Taking your training performance into consideration, I prefer to limit the area to human world. You should find it in three days and return. I will protect your safety, but I won't give you any reminder."
Hearing this, QIngfu's expression turned ugly. It was much more difficult than flying. She coughed to cover her upset, and asked, "Is this necessary?"
"Sure!" Tianhan nodded without any connivance.
Qingfu twitched her lips. She had a picture of her miserable life in the future in mind. She nodded to Tianhan. "Okay, I will do that."
So, her function would be exposed this time.
Tianhan's jade plate disappeared in a cyan light. He squinted, saying, "Go!"
Qingfu looked back at her little house. "May I come back without having the jade?"
Tianhan shook his head.
Qingfu finally cracked up. "May I come back to collect my luggage? I guess I will be staying outside for a long time. . ."
Tianhan just looked at her.
Then, Qingfu swallowed and she spoke to Tianhan with certain caution. "I . . . I am tired. May I have a rest first?"
Tianhan guessed she must be tired so he nodded.
Qingfu quickly sat down to sleep. However, she still tried to keep an ear to Tianhan's movements.
Tianhan sat down and leaned on the tree to rest, too.
At first, Qingfu was not drowsy, but the environment was so quiet that she soon fell asleep with the good scent of Tianhan nearby. When she woke up, it was already the next morning. Qingfu stood up with a stretch.
The vision in the forest was much better that last night. She could figure out the directions. But she still didn't know where could she step out from this wood.
How about . . . walk around to find a way? Maybe Tianhan would give her some suggestion?
Taking this into consideration, she planned to wake him up. But Tianhan already stood behind her, looking at her quietly.
Qingfu laughed awkwardly. "So, shall we walk out now?"
Tianhan nodded. Qingfu closed her eyes, and then pointed at a direction, and then opened her eyes. "This direction?"
Tianhan's lips curved. But he didn't comment. "You decide."
. . . Qingfu had to follow her intuition.
. . .
The wood became vaster than before. Qingfu understood she had made a mistake, so she turned back. But she could not find the way back.
When she was depressed, Tianhan opened his mouth and said, "Don't you remember the direction where we were?"
Qingfu shook her head with embarra.s.sment.
. . .
Tianhan sighed. "So, you have no sense of direction?"
Qingfu nodded with innocence. It was not her fault.
Tianhan sighed. He was so annoyed by this girl. He raised his hand, and in a second, they were standing in a crowded street. Many vendors and merchants were negotiating around them. QIngfu relaxed. This scene made her at ease.
Tianhan sighed again. "Since you don't recognize directions, I have taken you here directly. The jade plate is somewhere in this city. You should find it in one day."
Qingfu was so touched by his change. "You are so nice, my Fairy Lord."
Tianhan rubbed his forehead. "Go for the jade first."
Qingfu was so happy, but she couldn't let Tianhan see this. She was right; Tianhan would not be merciful to such a cute girl like her. Now the mission was easier.
Even though Qingfu still didn't find any clue for the plate, she was so happy with shopping on the street.
"Lord Tianhan, how about this jade hairpin?" Qingfu blinked at him. "Do you think it is Jiuxiang's type? She will be happy to get this present, right?"
Tianhan suddenly felt so tired.
In a moment, he missed the days of Qingfu just being his ride. Though she kept entangling him, he could reject her and let her go. Now he had to train her and secure her and accompany her by hanging around.
Shopping was always a burden to men whatever realm they were in, especially when that man was Lord Tianhan.
But Qingfu didn't notice his bad mood right now, but this was because of his poker face expression that hid his feelings.
When Qingfu planned to buy the jade hairpin, a voice broke in. "Stop! This hairpin belongs to me now."
What? Theft?
Qingfu turned back to find a prince with a good-looking face coming toward them.
He smiled at Qingfu. "To be honest with you, young lady, my daughter saw this hairpin before you. But we didn't have time to come out and buy it. Today we come for it, so please, give up on it."
Qingfu wanted to quarrel with him, but all of a sudden, she found a jade plate hanging at the waist of the prince.
What good luck!
Even Lord Tianhan appreciated her dumb luck.
Qingfu's eyes turned bright. "I can give you this hairpin as a present. But I have a condition."
"What's that?" The prince raised his eyebrow.
"Sell your jade plate to me, would you?" She pretended to be generous. "You can offer a price."
But the prince's expression suddenly changed when he heard this. He walked back and then, some servants of him came to hold Qingfu's arms and bind them at her back. Then they did the same to Tianhan.
Qingfu wanted to release Tianhan with her power, but his spiritual voice came to her. "Mission fails if you use your spiritual power."
. . .
With tears, Qingfu allowed them to bind her and Tianhan tightly.
Qingfu didn't care about herself, but he was her Lord Tianhan.
Her Lord Tianhan, who was always clean and cold like a lotus; how could he be tied by some human beings? It was all her fault.
Qingfu was so angry that she glared at the prince, and asked, "What's your purpose?"
"You want my plate?" The prince's face turned dark. "Take them away."
Before she could speak more words, she was held up by those servants and a bag covered her head. In the darkness, Qingfu and Tianhan were moved in an unknown direction.
When they saw the light again, it was a strange place with firewood. Both she and Tianhan were tied in this room, unable to move a step.
Qingfu cried to him, "Lord Tianhan, what's going on?"
Tianhan shook his head. "Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you."
For sure, he knew what was going on. He set all these predicaments.
Qingfu was so irritated.
But she felt good that the one who made the difficulties was in the same situation, too.
Qingfu opened her mouth, trying to complain him, but Tianhan had already released his ties and was standing up.
Qingfu's eyes stared wide. "Why . . . are you . . . ?"
"This is not my mission."
Qingfu's blood boiled.
A smile came to Tianhan's eyes.
