Face Slapping the Entertainment Circle's Bigshot (7)
This outrageous idea triggered Chen Heng's spirit. He snuffed out the cigarette and crossed his arms behind his head. The depths of his eyes were like a dark river as he gazed into the distance.
Although he didn't design that cheap system, he more or less had a general idea of how it worked. Only the host that bound to the system would be able to freely travel through the system-set worlds while keeping their original memories intact. If a person other than the host were to forcibly enter the worlds, there is a possibility that their soul would be shatter and break into soul fragments. Moreover, there would also be a one to two-month time limit. Once the time limit has pa.s.sed, that person would then be forcibly ejected out of the system-made world.
In the first world, the reason why Qi Wei disappeared before his eyes was because the time limit has been reached. Chen Heng remembered that before he left, he retrieved a soul fragment from within Xia Ming's body, which is in accordance with the theory.
But wasn't it too risky for the soul to directly occupy a body in the world?
Afterall, no one had ever attempted it before, so there was no way to confirm if it would succeed.
Thinking of that, Chen Heng turned his body over and slowly closed his eyes.
He was not impressed by Qi Wei. He can also do that if he wanted to, or if he had a goal in mind but Qi Wei didn't seem like someone who would be capable of doing such a thing.
Because if it failed, the entire soul would be lost.
No one would be so stupid.
What's more, there was no point in playing this kind of game. What's in it for them?
You wouldn't be able to get anything a. It was completely meaningless thing.
So Chen Heng had no qualms about dismissing that idea, thinking that it was too impossible. And in the near future, he would pay a bitter price for underestimating the enemy.
The next day—
Chen Heng woke up on his usual schedule. He was about to prepare breakfast for Su Jue when he found that Su Jue was already up and was fiddling with things in the kitchen.
The early rays of dawn leaked through the clear window and coated his hair in a misty glimmer. Bathed in the misty light, the young man was wearing a simple s.h.i.+rt. The contours of his shoulder were particularly beautiful. From Chen Heng's perspective, he could see the beautiful arc of his chin down to his neck.
Knock knock knock.
Hearing the knock on the door, Su Jue slightly glanced to the side. Seeing Chen Heng, he had a faint smile.
The youth's smile still contained the same shyness and reserved nature as before. Chen Heng suddenly felt that his thoughts last nights were absurd and ridiculous.
At the age of 18, he was still ignorant and curious about s.e.x. He deliberately seduced the other last night, it wasn't surprising that the youth was aroused.
Chen Heng pensively looked at Su Jue who was smiling at him. Maybe he should let him experience the pleasures of s.e.xual desires.
Su Jue didn't know what Chen Heng was thinking that made the man watch him like a researcher did a mouse in a laboratory. He was very uncomfortable.
"Well, I originally wanted to cook congee, but it seems like I burned it."
Chen Heng had returned to his senses and walked towards the youth's side. He looked down. The rice inside the pot had stuck to the bottom and had become guoba[1]. He let out a laugh. "How are you cooking congee ah? You're frying guoba ba." As he said that, Chen Heng twisted a piece of the slightly burnt gouba and put it in his mouth. The taste was quite good and he couldn't help but take another piece.
Su Jue was stupefied and foolishly stared at the man's behavior.
He unexpectedly didn't think the food he made was disgusting, and he even picked it up and ate it?
The youth bit his lips and said, "I will surely make a delicious breakfast in the future."
Chen Heng casually grunted in agreement. He then reached out to push the youth out "You go and take a seat for a while, I'll make breakfast."
"Would you like my help?"
Su Jue was reluctant to go and he dawdled in his movements.
"If you don't make a mess, you can."
Chen Heng didn't like someone dragging him down[2]. His brows wrinkled. The youth saw this, silenty stopped and walked away and left in three strides.
Although there is an Aunt specifically in charge of cooking at home, as long as Su Jue was there, Chen Heng usually did it himself. First, in order to complete the other tasks that he accepted in the mission and second, to develop a good relations.h.i.+p with Su Jue. After all, Su Jue is still young and his ideologies were still not that developed. Some things can still be persuaded and corrected with adequeate guidance involved.
Half an hour later, a simple nutritious breakfast was served.
They were seating in a rectangular table about 2m long. Chen Heng sat on one end, while Su Jue sat on the other. There was a whole table distance separating them.
The youth silently drank the soft and sweet black rice congee in his hand. Under his long lashes, the pair of clear eyes glanced at Chen Heng from time to time. The latter was aware of the gaze and paused. He raised his head to look at the youth. The youth quickly took back his gaze, sat up straight, and calmly ate his breakfast as if he didn't do anything[3].
Chen Heng hooked his lips, withdrew his gaze, put down the tableware and elegantly wiped his mouth with the table napkin. Finally, he spread out the finance paper and unhurriedly began to read it.
His looked very focused in reading as his eyes traced the paper.
On the side, Su Jue seemed to be unable to sit still. He held the bowl in his hand as he stepped closer to Chen Heng's side and sat down. He pretended to be very interested as he craned his neck to look at the paper, "What are you reading?".
As soon as he spoke, Chen Heng rapidly closed the newspaper. Su Jue only had time to see a few words relating to the Meng Group.
Facing Su Jue's slightly bewildered expression, Chen Heng raised his lips in a placating smile.
"I'm just looking around to see what projects are worth investing in." The newspaper had published a photo of Meng Changfeng. Su Jue certainly must not see the photo. At least, not at this moment.
"Oh." Su Jue wasn't really curious about the newspaper's content. He just wanted to be closer to the man.
Chen Heng put away the newspaper and asked: "You're going back to school tomorrow?"
"En."
Chen Heng mysteriously smiled, "You should relax tonight. I prepared a nice present for you. You would like it."
Seeing the man's electrifying smile, Su Jue's heart thumped wildly in his chest as if it would jump out of his throat. He secretly touched his heart.
What should he do? He suddenly felt that the man's smile was very erotic.
And a present? What kind of present would it be? Could it be…
Thinking of a certain possibility, Su Jue's snow white face was gradually dusted with a layer of pink. Rosy pink against white, just like an unripe fragrant peach blossom in early spring waiting for someone to pluck it.
Chen Heng mistakenly thought that Su Jue understood the hints and signals he sent. So, he soon began to prepare a 'gift' for Su Jue.
He was confident that he can certainly give Su Jue an unforgettable and euphoric night.
T/N: Euphoric Night eh? We'll see about that… Also guys, what are your thoughts about the footnotes? Are they easy to navigate? Does clicking the numbers work for you guys? or would you like it in the middle of the page with just lighter color?
As always, feel free to support me on Kofi!
