Chapter 32: Coffin Spiritual Mark
An hour later, outside the Yin Spring
The black-bearded cultivator has discovered w.a.n.g Yao and the other disciples, except not in whole bodies, they were found with dismembered corpses.
"All killed! They were all killed by zombies, these injuries could only be inflicted by zombies! By the next eclipse, they'll also turn to zombies… We must bring them back."
Darkness soon engulfs the area, the bearded cultivator stored all the dead bodies in his coffin. His b.l.o.o.d.y coffin is different than others, obviously better in quality.
As an old saying goes: "Zombie have no home, they're just creatures that have been abandoned by the Heavens, and by man. They absorb the Qi generated from grievances and the avarice behavior of humans, harvesting blood to satisfy their desires"
Grievance Qi and Avarice Qi combine to create Yin Qi. When humans die, they have a chance to become zombies if their bodies were infected by Yin Qi after death, most likely to happen in Yin populated environments. But if bitten by an actual zombie and to die, they'll undoubtedly become zombies.
The talent of a cultivator zombie depends solely on their cultivation level before death.
If the zombie was formed from a cultivator's body, then their potential could be touched on more compared to normally formed zombies. They are useful to corpse cultivators as there aren't many zombie cultivators of high level.
The thin guy behind s.h.i.+ Fu knew that his s.h.i.+ Fu wouldn't just take these bodies, hoping to raise them. He knew that his s.h.i.+ Fu was going to sell these zombie cultivators, exchanging them for riches.
Within the next second, a 300lb rock was pulverized into pebbles by the bearded cultivator in anger, he needed to explain to the sect about the situation. The Foundation Building Realm is considered as a "fairy" by mortals, as their strength was rather magical and out of the ordinary. Their lifespan extends to 500 years and they could properly control their spiritual sense. As they develop, they also learn to control the flying sword.
Speaking about spiritual sense, the Foundation Building Cultivator already scanned the area, finding the coffins that Zhang Yang buried not too long ago.
"Three coffins are missing, and it seems the enemy might be a corpse cultivator too. The person even went as far as to steal w.a.n.g Yao's coffin! Idiot! This offender must be stupid, if he took the coffin, the spiritual mark still remains. As long as he's within 500 kilometers, then I'll find him easily. He cannot get rid of that spiritual mark unless he was in the Foundation Building Realm or has a master to help him"
"s.h.i.+ Fu, I don't understand, how do you know that the enemy isn't in the Foundation Building Realm?"
"If you were smart, you'd see the struggle within this fight. All these bodies are laid separately than rather in a circle, indicating that this fight took on many areas. The fight also seems to have lasted a while, so this guy who killed w.a.n.g Yao must've been slightly stronger. That and he's a corpse cultivator, in fact, you might even be stronger than him"
"Ohh! s.h.i.+ Fu is so smart!"
The s.h.i.+ Fu was enjoying the praises from his follower. Then he took out a compa.s.s-like object and then made some hand signs. The needle of the compa.s.s moved in many directions before circling repeatedly. "He must've stored the coffins away in an interspatial pouch…"
He scans the place with his spiritual sense, he finds that most of the zombie puppets remained. They obviously belonged to their sect, most were lurking inside the cave.
He walks inside, and since the puppets were broken from their seal, their predatory nature returned to them pouncing on him. But that was useless, the s.h.i.+ Fu lifted a hand, a bright yellow light dazzles the dark cave, soon, all the zombies were frozen in place with Repression Talismans stuck to their foreheads.
After Zhang Yang took w.a.n.g Yao's life, he left those zombies in there as a "present" for anyone that came, taking the stronger zombie instead.
The black-bearded cultivator moves to a corner in the cave where an odd coffin laid. He would try to flip it over, but to no avail, as it was shockingly heavy. To remove the coffin, he would use a talisman.
"Strong men remove mountains and oceans! Listen to my command! Ji!"
He points to the coffin, slowly, it lifted and moved aside.
The second the coffin was removed from place, a heavy Yin Qi transmitted and filled the cave, it would be hard to breathe in such conditions for a mortal.
"Haha! A Yin Spring! Good quality Yin Spring! And this is….."
The black-bearded cultivator lifts his hands, sliding his robe to shoulder height. He would pick up an orb, a small bead. As he stared at the bead, his brows would stress and his body would begin to s.h.i.+ver in an odd way like an earthquake was occurring. "T-This… Yin Bead?!" He would yell, the sound echoes in the cave as he stocks up on Yin Beads, placing them into a container. In 5 minutes, his container became full of Yin Beads.
He would finally breathe, explaining to the clueless thin guy.
"s.h.i.+ Long, this is the legendary Yin bead, if you have anything to hold these, take them. I won't tell anyone, take as much as you can hold!"
s.h.i.+ Long, the thin guy, was watching his s.h.i.+ Fu taking the treasures. He thought about how greedy his s.h.i.+ Fu was, but that thinking came collapsing once he offered for him to take some. Like his s.h.i.+ Fu earlier, he would take out three lily-embroidered snuff bottles.
The black-bearded cultivator was rather surprised, his disciple came well prepared for any treasures that could be obtained. The thin disciple was already rus.h.i.+ng over to the spring, using his able hands to scoop up the beads.
A/N: Let's take this easy, Zhang Yang's treasures won't be easily stolen like this… Of course not, this zombie is not one to be fooled with so easily.
