Mr. Earnest Is My Boyfriend Chapter 12 Part1

Throughout the morning, Xia Zhen was fighting against drowsiness.

Yesterday morning, It took a lot of energy to get up early and climb the mountain again, so, she's exhausted and sleepy. After eating something at noon, Xia Zhen lay on the table and instantly fell asleep. Xiao Li has no chance to gossip.

Pei Cheng An is very busy on this particular day, but in his spare time, he always thinks about Xia Zhen. He thought of calling her around noontime, but he figured she might be sleeping, so he forewent the phone call because he didn't want to bother her. 

Pei Cheng An leaves work at 5 p.m., while Xia Zhen leaves at 6 p.m., and it's just about an hour's drive from the inst.i.tute where he works to where Xia Zhen worked.

On this day, Pei Cheng An's seemingly early departure from work surprised his colleagues who have never seen him leave work at 5 p.m.

To his colleagues, Pei Cheng An is a certified workaholic, and for him to leave work at the right time caused pandemonium amongst his colleagues.

Xia Zhen received a call from Xue Chen before leaving work.

"You worked hard yesterday. I'll treat you to dinner tonight." Xue Chen's speech was concise and clear-cut. He was drunk last night, and he was told to have said a lot of things, and he didn't know what he had said in front of Xia Zhen, this, he was a little depressed. 

Xia Zhen gathered her things as she said; "Just know that I indeed worked hard. You eat, I can't make it, I have a date."

"With the one named Pei?"

Xia Zhen stopped and complained: "yes, his name is Pei Cheng An, and his surname is Pei, you can't speak like that."

Xue Chen paused and then spoke softly: "Are you serious about him? I thought you said you weren't going to be in a relations.h.i.+p until you were 28?"

"Xue Chen, you should have heard that women are fickle." "Xia Zhen didn't answer him directly. After listening to his true thoughts that he uttered in his drunken state last night, Xia Zhen felt that whatever she said to him, his heart will be broken.

When she first met Pei Cheng An and decided on her course of action, she was also looking forward to telling them the truth, after a while, she was torn on whether to divulge the truth or no to and now she finally decided against telling them the truth.

After listening to her, Xue Chen's emotions were chaotic and his mood went down, but he knew that he had no reason to be angry. He tried to restrain himself and he finally reined in his emotions, then he found an excuse to hang up the phone.

After Xue Chen hung up, Xia Zhen felt wistful in her heart but not for long because Pei Cheng An called to tell her that he was downstairs.

Her being relaxed when she heard from him, thinking, she will do her utmost to get along with Pei Cheng An. When the plan succeeds, many things can be resolved.

Pei Cheng An stood by his car, looking at the high-rise office building with a gla.s.s wall showing a little blue sky in front of him. The prosperous business district and the quiet inst.i.tute are like two different worlds. Although he grew up in the city and only left for several years at university, he was not particularly familiar with the city. 

He has no special requirement for his future wife, and nothing matters if he gets along with her.

Now he knows that there are many differences between him and Xia Zhen, but he feels that there is nothing wrong with such differences. He even found the differences particularly novel and thought that it would be wonderful to be with Xia Zhen.

He looked forward to their glory.

Both Xia Zhen and Pei Cheng An are people with almost zero romantic experiences, coupled with their very different personalities, it seems somewhat unnatural to be together.

"Are you tired today?" He asked her after getting in the car. 

His elder brother repeatedly urged him to find interesting topics to talk with girls, but he found himself unable to find them.

"I was tired in the morning but I took an afternoon nap so now I'm full of energy." She said with a laugh.

"Go to bed early tonight."

"I'm definitely going to bed early. I miss m bed the most."

Pei Cheng An laughed and said something in his heart: "What I miss the most today is you." He was shocked by this thought, he felt a little light-hearted, and his face burned.

He quickly changed the subject to his work.
