After hearing Jian Dan’s question, Siyu showed no change on the surface, but Jian Dan noticed the subtle s.h.i.+ft in her eyes.

Siyu’s lips curled into a resigned smile.
“Is it Ling Yuqian?”
As soon as Jian Dan uttered that name, Huo Siyu’s expression changed instantly, and she suddenly lifted her head to look at Jian Dan, “How did you know about him?”
“That settles it then!”

After finis.h.i.+ng their meal and preparing to leave, as they pa.s.sed through the lobby, Jian Dan was abruptly doused with a cup of ice water on her head.
“What are you doing?” Huo Siyu quickly moved Jian Dan behind her.
“You’re still protecting her? How can you be so foolish, keeping company with a married woman, you can tell he’s only with you for your money!” The woman who doused Jian Dan with water exclaimed frantically.
“When did it become your place to decide my affairs?”
“I absolutely won’t allow this homewrecker to sully you; listen here, you tramp, if you keep hara.s.sing our Siyu, next time it won’t be just simple water that gets splashed on you!”
Jian Dan took a deep breath, walked up to the woman, grabbed her by the back of the neck, and dragged her over to the bar. She opened the ice machine and shoved the woman’s head right inside.
Desperate, the woman struggled wildly, but she was no match in strength and was unable to break free.
Her head shook ceaselessly among the ice cubes, her mouth still spouting curses.
“It seems your brain isn’t the only thing that’s foggy, but your mouth stinks to high heaven too!” Jian Dan pulled the woman from the ice machine, pressed her down onto a nearby table, grabbed a gla.s.s of ice water, and poured it into the woman’s mouth, “Clean that repulsive mouth of yours out good and proper!”
Jian Dan has never been one to be easily bullied!
