IP Chapter 64
Incurable Pain | Chapter 64
The unrealistic ancient town was, of course, out of the question.
As two ‘inexperienced in dating’ people, they ended up choosing the most mundane activity: shopping at the mall.
Bai Xunyin was not particularly interested in shopping, but Yu Luoyin, being a typical man, seemed quite enthusiastic about it.
They parked the car randomly in an underground parking lot near a square, and Yu Luoyin dragged Bai Xunyin around.
“I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.”
Yu Luoyin looked at her solemnly and said, “Come on, give me a chance.”
…
Bai Xunyin was speechless, “What chance?”
Why did she feel like Yu Luoyin was acting a bit weird?
“Of course, it’s a chance for my girlfriend to spend money,” Yu Luoyin said excitedly, pulling out a card and offering it with both hands.
It seems that no matter what kind of man they are, once they’re in love, they inevitably become a bit childish.
Bai Xunyin couldn’t help but cry laughingly. Just as she was about to refuse, Yu Luoyin impatiently dragged her into a nearby store.
He said in a very ‘extravagant’ manner, “Let’s try on some clothes?”
As he spoke, a salesperson had already approached them.
Seeing the two ‘pus.h.i.+ng and pulling,’ with the woman seemingly reluctant to come in, the salesperson couldn’t help but glance at the attire of this couple—people who were used to working in luxury stores had almost developed a professional habit.
But unfortunately, neither Bai Xunyin nor Yu Luoyin would dress too brightly and glamorously. They wore white coats every day, dealt with various bodily fluids like dogs, and even wore ‘tattered clothes.’
Even at this moment, their attire was very ‘plain.’
Although Bai Xunyin and Yu Luoyin could both easily walk the catwalk, the presence of a clothing store meant they were judged not by their faces but by their clothes.
The salesperson’s eyes changed slightly, as if they had already identified these two ‘country b.u.mpkins’ who hesitated to come in and out because they were afraid they couldn’t afford anything in the store.
“Sir, madam.”
However, the salesperson was well-trained, still wearing a polite smile on their face, flas.h.i.+ng eight s.h.i.+ny white teeth.
They subtly reminded, “This is a high-end ready-to-wear store.”
…
In all his life, Yu Luoyin was being subtly looked down upon for the first time when it came to buying something.
He couldn’t help but laugh out of anger.
“Yu Luoyin.”
Bai Xunyin naturally understood the implication behind the salesperson’s words, afraid that he might make trouble.
She quickly took Yu Luoyin’s arm and whispered, “Let’s go.”
“No.”
Yu Luoyin held her hand back. What was originally just a spur-of-the-moment idea now became a firm insistence.
“Let’s buy some clothes.”
Ten minutes later, Bai Xunyin was forced to put on a pearl-white body-hugging dress, with a shoulder-to-knee style, satin fabric, tightly wrapping around Bai Xunyin’s slender waist and limbs, ivory-white skin, like delicate porcelain.
Her legs, wearing the same color high heels, were straight and slender, making people drool.
The dress looked elegant on the surface, but it was hollowed out at the back, with only a few thin white satin ribbons crisscrossing to outline the beautiful b.u.t.terfly bones, the snow-white thin back even more enticing.
However, Bai Xunyin, a girl with no romantic thoughts, always felt that the designer’s inspiration probably came from a tied swimsuit.
The salesperson, who had just looked down on Bai Xunyin in a sweater and jeans, immediately changed their demeanor upon seeing the situation.
“Madam, you look so beautiful in this dress, it complements your figure and temperament so well…”
The salesperson followed Bai Xunyin out, talking non-stop, but when they looked up, they saw the man in the ‘rudimentary’ jeans and black s.h.i.+rt still holding the woman’s slender shoulder, smiling slightly.
“Hmm, it looks great.”
Then, he casually pushed the card to the counter to pay.
The salesperson couldn’t help but be greatly surprised.
This dress was a new spring/summer model from a high-end luxury brand, with a price tag in the six figures.
Yet this man didn’t even frown… Could he be hiding his true ident.i.ty?
Bai Xunyin frowned slightly and asked Yu Luoyin, “Are you sure about buying this?”
In fact, she had no occasion to wear such an expensive dress. Yu Luoyin was just wasting money.
“Buy it.”
Yu Luoyin chuckled lightly and used his tried and true skill of coquetry, “Otherwise, I won’t feel at ease. Why is it so difficult for me to spend money on you?”
…
It was the first time they had heard that not spending money made one uneasy, and the onlookers, the salespeople, felt a bit impressed.
Except for Bai Xunyin, the other women present couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous and envious. Suppressing the urge to gnash their teeth, they went over with a smile to process the bill.
A dress costing tens of thousands, although bought under Yu Luoyin’s stubborn insistence, Bai Xunyin still felt like she was being taken advantage of.
“What’s the point of buying this?”
As the two walked hand in hand out of the magnificent luxury store, Bai Xunyin couldn’t help but mutter quietly, feeling emotional about the exorbitant prices of luxury items in today’s materialistic city.
“It’s almost half of my salary.”
“Well, your salary is quite high.”
It was the first time Yu Luoyin had heard her say something so ‘down-to-earth,’ and he couldn’t help but smile, ignoring the teasing from earlier.
“Much higher than mine.”
As an intern doctor, he always lived on a shoestring budget, earning money like a cabbage seller.
Unfortunately, when Bai Xunyin looked at the dress he was holding, she couldn’t muster an ounce of sympathy for him.
—Even if he didn’t spend a penny every month, he could still live comfortably.
Where was the true ‘wage slave’ in this?
Understanding this, Yu Luoyin smiled and asked, “Do you think I’m living off my parents?”
Bai Xunyin didn’t say anything, but her expression of disbelief seemed to indicate just that.
“Unfair.”
Yu Luoyin’s dark eyes were full of grievances as he looked pitifully at her.
“I earned this myself.”
He wouldn’t use his dad’s money to buy Bai Xunyin a dress.
“You earned it…”
Bai Xunyin fell silent, quite objectively saying, “Medical students aren’t usually this wealthy, right?”
Just now, Yu Luoyin himself said that her salary was higher than his.
“You could still starve on just your salary.”
Yu Luoyin couldn’t help but chuckle. He wrapped his arm around the slender shoulders of the girl and casually walked into a nearby restaurant.
It wasn’t until they were eating that he said to her, “Isn’t our family an investment company? Plus, after Zhou Xinsui graduated, he’s been doing this too. Over the past few years, he’s made quite a bit from the stock market.”
Stocks, funds.
Bai Xunyin suddenly remembered the gossip she heard last time at a cla.s.s reunion about Ah mo’s family also being in this line of business.
Actually, after the cla.s.s reunion ended, Ah Mo had also tried to poach her. Introduced by Zhou Xinsui, they had met once, mainly discussing the stock market modeling problem they hadn’t finished last time.
Ah Mo wanted her to use the principles of physics to help build an information model for observing stock market trends, and the price was very ‘negotiable.’
If it were successful, it would be worth two years of Bai Xunyin’s salary without any problem. Unfortunately, she wasn’t interested.
But if Yu Luoyin’s family was also in this line of business…
Bai Xunyin’s bright eyes flickered, lost in thought.
The two had Western food, and the taste of the red wine wasn’t great. Yu Luoyin only drank half a gla.s.s and stopped, but he had still had a drink.
After dinner, Bai Xunyin naturally drove, thinking of sending Yu Luoyin home first and then casually taking a taxi back herself. But Yu Luoyin stubbornly refused, insisting that she drive to his house first.
“Letting my girlfriend send me home, and then taking a taxi back by myself?”
Yu Luoyin found it funny just to say it, snorting disdainfully.
“What would I become of that? No way.”
…
“It’s okay.”
Bai Xunyin said very thoughtfully, “I don’t mind.””
But Yu Luoyin didn’t say their home address, so she had no choice but to drive towards her own home.
“Why did you drink that half gla.s.s?” The woman frowned slightly.
“You can’t drive now. You’ll have to take a taxi back later.”
“I did it on purpose,” Yu Luoyin smiled, leaning over to lightly kiss her fair earlobe.
His clear voice murmured vaguely, “To find an opportunity. I can come to your building tomorrow morning to drive you.”
In this way, he could also conveniently drop Bai Xunyin off at work or something.
Bai Xunyin was caught off guard by his light and airy kiss, causing gooseb.u.mps to rise on her ivory-colored cheeks. She pursed her lips, then decisively pressed down on the accelerator — she parked the car to a stop downstairs at her home.
Then, with a stern expression, she took off her seatbelt, took the initiative to press Yu Luoyin, who was in the pa.s.senger seat, and kissed him.
Very aggressive indeed.
Yu Luoyin was taken aback for a moment, then he savored the forcefulness of the woman’s biting on his lips, unable to help but let out a m.u.f.fled chuckle.
It seemed the young lady was genuinely annoyed by his teasing.
He relaxed his body, leaning back against the pa.s.senger seat cooperatively, allowing Bai Xunyin to have her way with him.
Yu Luoyin even entertained the thought that the more excessive, the better.
Unfortunately, such delights had their expiration date. Before long, Bai Xunyin’s actions on his lips began to slow down.
“Yinyin,” Yu Luoyin’s large hand grasped the girl’s slender waist, the movement creating a beautiful curve where she leaned against him. Just looking at it made one’s heart race.
His slender hand ambiguously caressed, stopping Bai Xunyin’s attempt to get up.
His black eyes, unblinking, stared into the girl’s enigmatic tea-colored eyes. Yu Luoyin lightly tapped her rosy lips with his fingertip, his voice lowering in a way that easily sparked imagination.
“Shall I… help you carry things upstairs?”
His words were cryptic, but the underlying meaning was essentially an invitation to ‘come to your place for a cup of tea’.
Bai Xunyin pursed her lips, her gaze complex as she stared at the man beneath her, allowing him to do as he pleased.
There was a mental struggle for a while, but she still responded with a “yes”.
Adults who could take responsibility for their actions were already quite less resistant to temptation, let alone… she had wanted to sleep with Yu Luoyin for a long time.
Every time she saw his lazy appearance, Bai Xunyin inexplicably wished she could grow 20 centimeters taller, taller than Yu Luoyin, and then walk over, seize control, and indulge in the urge to scold him without reservation.
In the hidden depths of her mind, where no one could peer, Bai Xunyin sometimes suspected she was a pervert.
But what she didn’t know was that Yu Luoyin hoped she would be even more ‘perverted’ towards him.
In the evening elevator, with no one else around, they pressed the b.u.t.ton for the fifteenth floor. After a brief silence, the two of them kissed again, as if they had a telepathic connection.
It seemed that after six years of separation, the intimacy they yearned for day and night had become a reality, giving them a sensation akin to ‘skin-to-skin contact hunger’.
No amount of kissing ever seemed enough.
Yu Luoyin bought a lot of things forcibly, all of them in one hand, and now they are hung on his wrists, and his two hands are empty against the wall of the elevator.
It seems like no amount of kissing is ever enough.
So this is the thrill that comes from liking someone.
No wonder so many people become addicted to kissing, touching, and so on.
It looks quite….debauched.
But when experiencing it firsthand, savoring its taste, can debauchery even be considered a thing?
Happiness is what truly matters.
Yu Luoyin compulsively bought a lot of things, all carried by himself with one hand, now hanging from his wrist, while both hands were free to lean against the elevator wall.
He trapped the woman who was as soft as water in a cage made of his arms, bowed his head and ‘bullied’ her heavily, with a very mischievous heart.
However, Bai Xunyin refused to be outdone, ‘teasing’ back even more fiercely.
His thin lips were tingling slightly, but Yu Luoyin almost felt a kind of trembling joy in his heart—he found Bai Xunyin’s fierceness so appealing, making him even more strangely fond of her.
How come this woman matches him in every aspect, from personality to appearance, and even to s.e.xual preferences? Aren’t they so compatible?
It serves him right to be ensnared by her.
The pinnacle of ‘entanglement’ is to savor it to the extreme.
Feeling a bit warm all over, the two stumbled out of the elevator, Bai Xunyin’s hand held by Yu Luoyin, while her other empty hand reached back to press the pa.s.sword on the door.
Fortunately, this building had one unit per floor layout, otherwise, their reluctance to part ways would have been quite a joke.
With a ‘click,’ the door opened. Yu Luoyin’s breath was slightly heavier as he firmly held the woman’s waist, decisively half-lifting her and pressing her against the wall at the entrance…
But, just as the arrow was about to be released, the usually pitch-black room was strangely brightly lit.
Realizing this, the two looked at each other, and quickly regained their composure and stepped back.
Bai Xunyin inwardly cursed, hastily pus.h.i.+ng Yu Luoyin aside to look towards the living room, only to see her mother sitting on the sofa with a shocked expression.
“Mom,” she asked, her scalp tingling, “When did you come?”
“Yinyin, this…”
Ji Huiying, who accidentally witnessed her daughter’s ‘seductive scene,’ felt her brain rusting, staring blankly at Bai Xunyin’s flushed face and rosy lips.
Then, her gaze slowly s.h.i.+fted to Yu Luoyin, who was slightly panting next to her.
Neither of them had expected Ji Huiying to suddenly appear. In their astonishment, they both felt as if they wanted to find a hole to hide in.
Yu Luoyin reluctantly maintained his gentlemanly demeanor and greeted casually, “h.e.l.lo, Auntie.”
Why does this woman have such an appet.i.te for him from character to appearance and even s.e.x addiction? In tune with him?
It really deserves to be planted in her hands.
The highest level of ’entanglement’ is to make people eat marrow and taste to the extreme.
Both of them were a little hot, and the two staggered out of the elevator. Bai Xunyin was grabbed by Yu Luoyin in one hand, and the other empty hand barely stretched back and pressed the pa.s.sword door.
Fortunately, this building is all one-story and one-family apartments, otherwise they would be making jokes about their unwillingness to be separated.
Accompanied by the sound of opening the door with a ‘click’, Yu Luoyin’s breath was slightly heavy, and he held the woman’s waist with his big hand, and simply half-lifted her into the house, impatiently leaning against the wall at the entrance.……
However, the arrow was on the string, but the room that should have been dark was strangely brightly lit.
The two people who realized this glanced at each other and quickly separated sensibly.
Bai Xunyin screamed in secret, and hurriedly pushed Yu Luoyin away and looked into the living room. As expected, she saw the woman’s astonished face sitting on the sofa.
“Mom.”She bit the bullet and asked, “When did you come here?””
“Yin, Yinyin, this…”
Ji Huiying, who accidentally saw her daughter perform a “glamorous scene”, suddenly felt rusty in her mind, and looked blankly at Bai Xunyin, whose face was crimson and her lips were ruddy.
Then, his gaze slowly moved to Yu Luoyin, who was panting a little next to him.
Neither of the two of them thought that Ji Huiying would appear abruptly. In addition to their astonishment, they both felt eager to find a seam in the ground to get in.
Yu Luoyin barely maintained her gentle demeanor, and greeted her as if nothing had happened, “h.e.l.lo, Auntie.””
