The abrupt vanis.h.i.+ng of the Nirvana Flame startled even Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang, the commander. He understood that to indicate that the powers of the forbidden magic had run out since Lu w.a.n.gle, the one who had called forth the Nirvana Flame, had died and expended all of his life.

Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang mumbled, "It can't be. Brother Lu is..."

Heavenly Guardian Mo Xinyue slapped him awake. "Mu Zang! Wake up; this is the battlefield! What will those under your command do if you break up like this?" His face was also full of tears, but he chose to remain fighting. Because once they fall, those they are trying to protect will die with them.

The monsters are hit by a couple ma.s.sive tornadoes that destroy everything in their path. A few red threads are also in charge of certain large golems that are meant to destroy the other golems. Subsequently, a deluge of arrows and ice needles ensued, perhaps eliminating over half of the dimensional creatures.

"Those who are injured retreat. Those who can still move carry the others who can't back to rear. Find a young man called Su Jin; he can heal your injuries."

"Lu Ming to the right. Mo Yuhan to the left. Ji Yoonjun to protect the retreating soldiers; the rest of you follow me to decimate the enemies!" Lu Shang took over the messy command among the humans.

With a golden spear in hand, Lu Shang was positioned in front. Beside him stands a mild-mannered Leica, who clears the way so Lu Shang can roam about and take out the larger ones. The Mo Clan was commanded by Mo Yuhan to eliminate the monsters on the left flank. To defeat the monsters approaching from that direction, Lu Ming guided the warriors of the Lu Clan and others to the right wing.

Ji Yoonjun stayed in the air, watching over the battleground, dispatching all the little creatures that managed to sneak in, and s.h.i.+elding the wounded who were trying to flee.
