The Bian family members kept talking about the reason for Old Master Bian’s death and who should take responsibility for it. None of them looked sad at all. Bian Ke hid in one corner and looked at Old Master Bian’s body in fear.

“The Xia family is such a prominent family. Is there a need for them to harm us because of a 10-year-old ginseng!” Bian Jian said.

“It’s true that the Xia family is very influential and won’t do anything to small families like ours, but what if there’s resentment in their hearts?” Bian Guo said as he s.h.i.+fted his gaze to Bian Ke, who was standing at the side.

Bian Ke retreated out of fear and almost fell to the floor. She said with a trembling voice, “Uncle, why are you looking at me like that?”

“I heard that you offended the Xia family a few days ago. The Xia family doesn’t want to let you marry into their family anymore! The matchmaker has already told me about it!” Bian Guo said with a cold snort.

“What! You offended the Xia family! It’s such a good thing for our family to be related to them by marriage! If you don’t like that kid from the Xia family, then my daughter can date him! Why did you offend them!” Bian Xiang roared at Bian Ke agitatedly.

Including Bian Ke, the Bian family had three granddaughters. The second one was Bian Xiang’s eldest daughter, who was the same age as Bian Ke. The third one was Bian Guo’s youngest daughter who was only 12 years old. At that time, the family could not decide on who should go on the blind date. In the end, they put it to a vote and Bian Ke won.
