"I'm the President of this empire and I hold the supreme authority. You can advise me but you can't order me." From a generous tune, her voice turned to a cold scary presence. Now that she had heard what was this all about, she had known what she wanted to.

She didn't need to pretend to be polite anymore. Others who a.s.sumed she had been scared to not be aggressive were totally wrong.

"Ms. Jing, just because you are the President you can't play with the company like its a toy." One of the men beside Qian He protested aggressively. They thought they could pressurize her.

"You will have to accept our demands or else all employees would resign."

"Resigning would only be a start. We will have a complete shut down at this company."

The threats continued. Jing Lihua stayed silent the whole time. There were only a few active speakers including the COO, Xie Qiang, who was particularly hostile. Her smile continued to maintain without any wavering from all the opposition she faced. "If you all want to resign, you are welcome. With our company's good name in the industry, a huge list of capable youth would be willing to get a job here. If you all want to go for a strike, then you are all also welcome but don't a.s.sume I won't take legal actions against you."

I'll give you all a choice. End this drama now and side with me and you'll be spared. Decline to do so, you'll have your wish to resign granted. Because in just ten minutes, your a.s.sumed leader would be kneeling here and apologizing for siding with outsiders against the company. Mark my words."

"This is outright slander!" Qian He barked out. "Everyone knows I'm loyal and devoted to the company unlike you. 'Siding with outsiders'? Are you trying to divert people's attention from your fault by spreading false words against me? This is one cheap trick, Ms. Jing. Don't fall so low, it might tarnish your reputation."

Just that moment, Qian He secretary approached him hurriedly looking petrified. Qian He asked her to leave but she insisted. "Sir, this is important." She leaned in and whispered something into his ear. At that moment, Qian He's expression was worth to make a shot. He almost fell out of his chair.

He looked up slowly and when his eyes met Jing Lihua's calm steady eyes, he almost cried. This woman; was a true demon. Whom had he crossed? All his thoughts of antagonizing her vanished in thin air.

"Time's up." w.a.n.g Yi announced.

"Mr. Qian, are you ready to admit what you did wrong?" Jing Lihua's voice was sweet like a mother persuading her child for admitting his mistake. But for Qian He, it was like sermons to d.a.m.nation.

"Are you joking? Why would he admit anything?"

Xie Qiang spoke up. "Qian He was right. Women shouldn't be given hold to the office when they are so dense. If everyone shareholder in the company signs the pet.i.tion against the President position as per company rules, we can change the President's position regardless of her maximum shares. You realize that and still want to go against us." Though he said this to threaten Jing Lihua, it was practically impossible. Because if even one shareholder out of up to a thousand would not sign then the pet.i.tion would be harmless. And getting one out of a thousand wouldn't be a difficult feat for Jing Lihua.

Her smile was persistent. "Let's hear what Mr. Qian had to say on this matter, shall we?"
